I stopped in Flora last night a little after 6:00. I had the pleasure of meeting Ann and having her help me arrange a bouquet. Ann was fantastic. Very friendly and very helpful (I’m no expert when it comes to flowers, buying flowers, picking out flowers, or making a bouquet…)
The place itself is very nice. Looks brand new, good variety of flowers and plants.
I’ll be back for all of my floral needs, thanks to Ann!

The flowers were wonderful and perfect for the room and event. I was coming in from out of town to put on this event and had only seen a picture Suzanna sent me after I described what I was looking for over the phone. And I was thrilled to find them all set up when I arrived.
The first place I called gave me the run-​around on the phone. They transferred me to their event manager and I was just left on hold. Suzanna at Flora was responsive, helpful, and nice! She was able to add more vases in the day before when our event grew.

I have received a bouquet of flowers from Flora in the past, and those were wonderful. They lasted a long time, and they were arranged perfectly for the vase I had. I just received another bouquet of flowers and I am disappointed to say the least. It is the smallest arrangement I have ever seen for flowers that cost $ 85. Additionally, nearly every single flower already looks like they are dying. Not sure if I will be using this florist again…

I don’t live in Chicago, but my husband’s family and many of our friends are there. Whenever I want flowers sent for a special occasion I always use Flora!!! Their work is so beautiful and reasonably priced, it is a hidden gem! The customer service is responsive, Chuck is the best!!!

When you have to order flowers for the funeral of a little 2 year old girl you want to make sure you do it right. That’s why I went to Flora given their outstanding Unilocal reviews. Unfortunately for me I did not get the 5-​star experience that everyone else seemed to receive.
Due to taking on the task of ordering on behalf of a few families I wanted to make sure I was doing my due diligence so I went in-​person to Flora’s a few days before the wake and was pleased to find I was the only patron. I went through with the florist the look I was going for as well as the price point in which we were comfortable staying within. I mentioned multiple time throughout the interaction the cost range I was looking to stay within and that that was to include tax and delivery. I got a confirmation and requested a call before my card being charged, as I think any good business should do. The issue arose when on the day of the wake, after no call, I thought to look at my credit card statement and found that I had already been charged and at a rate that was 20% over my total budget! Imagine my surprise and concern If I am saying I am looking to spend between $ 100 – 120 and then get charged $ 143 for ONE arrangement that I stated I wanted to be delicate and not ostentatious. I would think any good business would not go significantly over the amount that someone is indicating they are willing to spend in total. I called the store in order to give them first chance of addressing the problem as I think any good consumer should do. Unfortunately, instead of being met with understanding and support, I had an individual who clearly could not have cared less. She informed me that they don’t usually include tax and shipping in the total quote despite the fact that I had already educated her that I had confirmed this request twice with the florist about what I was comfortable paying and that I wanted that to include the tax and delivery. I will say they did offer to credit me the difference between their charge and the top of my budget but that still put me at the absolute highest point and I will now have to monitor for 5 – 7 business days that I properly get refunded since they had already gone ahead and charged me.
To add insult to injury was receiving the excuses «I don’t know what you are looking for from me,» «you are still getting a bouquet of that cost now for less since we already delivered, (aka I should be happy?)» and my favorite «well it’s a really busy week for us.» I’m sorry if I knew that being busy with Valentine’s Day meant you wouldn’t be able to appropriately handle one arrangement for a little 2 year old girl’s funeral I would have taken my business elsewhere. I definitely was looking forward to using them more and was even considering utilizing them for my wedding but not now. So upsetting during a time that is already filled with heartache.

Flora is a fantastic and reasonably priced flower shop. I’ve used Flora multiple times before and couldn’t have been happier with the results.
My recent experience (one week ago) was walking in the evening and wanting a bouquet of flowers as a gift. I wanted to pay $ 40 + tax and the bouquet I got was much more than I expected — certainly a higher quality and many more flowers than other flower shops in the area. In 5 – 10 minutes, they were able to put together a beautiful and custom bouquet of flowers. One week later, the flowers I purchased are still as fresh as the day I got them and show little-​to-​no signs of wilting.
I highly recommend Flora and will be using them exclusively for all my floral needs.

We worked with Chuck for our flowers for our 10.17.15 wedding. The outcome could not have been better! The bouquets were perfect and absolutely beautiful. The arrangements for our ceremony looked breathtaking. The center pieces were exactly what I had imagined. We can not thank Chuck and his team enough for making our day even more special with the flowers Flora provided.

It was a pleasure working with Chuck at Flora for my recent wedding. My event was on the small and simple side, and some florists I contacted were unwilling to work with me because I did not have a multi-​thousand dollar flower budget. It was refreshing that Chuck was willing to work with my budget and needs and never tried to «upsell» me by pushing more expensive options. He offered helpful suggestions along the way and was a great mix of professional, yet laid back and flexible.
I was very pleased with my beautiful flowers, which included bouquets, centerpieces, a gorgeous floral wreath, and a floral collar for our chihuahua.
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Chuck and Flora. Highly recommended!

I just called from MD to order flowers for my daughter’s graduation and the lady was so very helpful. She worked with me to determine exactly what I wanted and offered several helpful suggestions. They are being water-​tubed and delivered to our hotel. Something I can take off my ‘to-​do’ list and not worry about!

My fiancé got me the most beautiful bouquet from here and it lasted just over 2 weeks. I was so impressed! He said they were incredibly helpful and friendly too!

I called for a get well arrangement the day before Valentine’s Day 2015. I choose a couple around the area I was sending the flowers to. Flora was the first one I called because of the great reviews. Without a moment’s hesitation even though it was the day before Valentine’s Day, the clerk took my order quickly and efficiently. She said they would be delivered that same day.

I’m not sure who it was that helped me — I didn’t catch her name, but she was a young brunette with glasses. I called about 45 minutes in advance in order to pick up a bouquet for my wife prior to valentine’s day. She was friendly on the phone and I asked her to freestyle together a bouquet that was as un-valentine’s-ey as possible (the wife hates red and pink and valentine’s) with a ‘spring’ feel.
When I arrived she already had the bouquet ready to go. To my untrained eyes, I figured they looked pretty good (I mean, what do I know). My wife, however, BAWLED for about twenty minutes when I presented her with the bouquet. Mind you, I bring home flowers for her ALL THE TIME. These were no tears of surprise. These were tears of ‘OMFG FLOWERS’. She then spent the next forty minutes gushing about how pretty the thing was, all the while snapping picture after picture.
Moral of the story: if you find yourself needing to score some points at home or make your significant other very very happy, swing by here. I know I will be.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here. We live right around the corner and could not have been happier with our experience. We were helped by Ann who put together a beautiful arrangement for us completely within our budget. We haven’t always gone the route of giving flowers for host gifts and such, but definitely will now. Cannot say enough good things about it. If you haven’t already, be sure to check it out!

One of the reasons I picked Flora is that they were willing to work with «non-​large wedding party» brides. Several other places I called would only work with $ 2000 or more budgets, particularly in the summer months. Flora welcomes budgets and orders of all sizes, and for that reason I will be a regular customer even after the wedding.
Chuck, the manager, sat down with me in the middle of winter 6 – 7 months before the wedding to help me plan my August wedding. He was very knowledgeable on what flowers would be available during which season and which flowers worked best together. He offered ideas that were a perfect blend of what I was looking for and what he recommended.
The day of the wedding, the flowers were available for pickup at the time they were supposed to, and the blooms lasted all day. We also purchased greenery for an archway. His suggestions for this were excellent.

Suzanna was by far our favorite wedding vendor to work with. My wife and I walked in and were instantly charmed by the space. Neither of us knows anything about flowers and were looking for someone to own the entire process, not simply deliver the flowers someone already knew they wanted. We quickly reviewed the requisite details: budget, theme, space, colors, size of wedding party, etc. After that was out of the way my wife brought up a Pinterest board on her iPhone and Suzanna immediately went to work.
Suzanna had helpful suggestions, she took our inspirations and custom crafted them to work within our budget and space. Flora handled everything from the runner at the ceremony, decorating the cake (with fresh flowers), and of course amazing centerpieces.
Suzanna was not pushy, but refreshingly honest if she felt something wasn’t going to work. She was able to keep us on budget without compromising the look we were going for. We didn’t spend too much of our budget on flowers, and my wife and I never once felt like there were other weddings bigger than ours that were more important. Suzanna was responsive to email, often times with quick replies after business hours. Even after our wedding she reached out to ask if we were satisfied she was even able to point us in the right direction when we asked about flower preservation.
Lastly, only a week before the wedding we asked for a special request. We asked for my grandfather’s wedding band and a picture locket to be attached to my wife’s bouquet. It was done beautifully!

Came in on their anniversary for a small bouquet for my girl friend… didn’t realize they were serving drinks for anyone coming through the shop!
A manager mentioned they would consider doing the drink thing as a once a month deal, do it!
Really impressive bouquet, she loved ‘em. Lasted for a long time and will be using them again for sure.

Super bummed out. I bought flowers for my girlfriend on Valentines day (two days ago) and while the bouquet was very pretty and very pricey the flowers are already dying. They went right into water within 1 hour. Too bad! The shop has a great selection but they didn’t least long. It appears from the other reviews they do lots of weddings and those flowers only need to stay alive for the one day versus a bouquet you would like to last at least 5 – 7 days

NOTE: I did not use Flora for a wedding or special occasion, but rather in a last-​minute pinch for some flowers I needed for a friend’s house party.
Despite my limited knowledge of flowers — and, judging from what was in the refrigerator, slim pickings — Amanda came through with a simple yet sophisticated arrangement of small orchids.
I was confident enough to place them on my friend’s buffet table, as an extra decoration without it being intrusive or glaring.
When I move to Chicago, I plan on using Flora for any occasion, small or large, planned or last-​minute.

I can’t say enough good things about Flora. I worked with Randy on the flowers for my October wedding and he was wonderful. Although I know fairly little about flowers (besides what I absolutely love or hate), Randy was able to tune into exactly what my husband and I were looking for– he really understood our style, our wedding, and our budget and ran with it. At our walkthrough when I questioned adding additional flowers to the ceremony and, while the average florist would have jumped at the chance to do some more flowers and charge me more money, Randy simply told me that he didn’t think it was my style and we should forgo it. Thank you, Randy, for caring about making my wedding beautiful and reflective of my style and not making a few extra bucks!
The floral arrangements were gorgeous and I was so surprised to see that Randy had considered a lot of the minor details that hadn’t even crossed my mind– he made the event really beautiful and I would recommend his services to any other Chicago bride!

I worked with Randy at Flora for my wedding at the end of June. We selected Flora originally for Randy’s ability to understand the look & feel we wanted and run with it.
Flora is five stars for the following reasons:
1. Fantastic ability to visualize and create unique arrangements. We brought in one or two images of what we really liked to provide inspiration.
2. Openness to help you work within your budget and maximize the impact.
3. Reasonably priced given the quality of the flowers and design
4. Wonderful customer service to revise. We ordered a sample arrangement (highly recommended for any bride with any florist) and then worked with Randy to make adjustments based on what we like and what we didn’t. He ordered a set of some different flowers for us to play with when I came into the store to achieve the vision.
5. Dependable and reliable from initial consultation through to delivery. Also, each boutonnière even had a name attached since the groom, father of the bride, ushers, and groomsmen each had slightly different versions of the same theme.
6. Great flower selection in the store with a really lush feeling
Subtracted one star because the contracts were not always consistent from one to the next, so I needed to double check them for inconsistencies.
I would definitely use them again for all of my flower needs, and would trust their creative inspiration to develop beautiful, unique and contemporary/​modern arrangements.
