I inspect, clean, service, and repair all gas fireplaces. Vented, vent free, direct vent, b vent, if I don’t fix it, YOU DON’T PAY. I also install gas log sets to existing gas. I don’t do chimney sweeps, mortar repair, gas runs, or set and stack installs.

Thank you Steve and Mike! Fireplace hadn’t been working for years and finally decided to have it fixed. Finding a business that was responsive was a challenge and then I found Steve, he was extremely responsive and willing to come out the same day. Scheduled for later in the week to accommodate my schedule, Mike had my fireplace up and running within minutes and addressed all my questions. As an additional bonus, they warranty their work. If you’re looking for reputable and knowledgable people to address your fireplace needs in a timely manner, you’ve found it.

Our gas fireplace was not lighting in our new condo and the home inspector told us our pilot assembly had probably gone bad. Steve responded immediately to my email and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. He let me know that this was a common problem and that we most likely did not need a new pilot assembly. He arrived on time and began work immediately. Within a half hour our fireplace was running beautifully. Steve knows what he is doing and was able to inform us about all aspects of our fireplace. He was clean and efficient. We will be using Firefixer to service our unit annually.

Our old gas log stopped working. Steve was quick to respond with appt options. He arrived on time and quickly resolved our issue. Gave some advise on the unit we have (it was here when we moved in) and was out in a flash. Very professional and knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Steve is THE BEST. I emailed him after reading other good reviews and he responded right away. I knew nothing about gas fireplaces (since I grew up with logs) and didn’t know what to expect. His prices were very reasonable and he was very knowledgeable. He came to our place and cleaned/​repaired our fireplace AND gave me a very needed tutorial on how to operate it. He was in and out in 30 minutes and was pretty flexible with scheduling. I would strongly recommend his services to anyone! Thanks Steve!

My gas fireplace in the basement has been out of commission for almost 2 years. I called Steve from Firefixer and scheduled an appointment to fix it. Steve has over 20 years of experience. He came out at the scheduled time and got right to work. Within 30 minutes he had the fireplace up and running. I am so glad to have heat in my basement. I will definitely use Firefixer if the need comes up to service my fireplace in the future.

I had called Valor Chimney services to repair a gas ventless fireplace, they came out and said needed new ignitor, I said no problem. They said they would order one. Paid their fee, called many times without response. Finally they said my unit was obsolete, needed new one for $ 1200. I called Firefixer for second estimate. Not only was he responsive, he fixed the unit without any other parts. He said he has been doing this for 20 years and rarely do they need new parts, most of the time they are dirty and have some wiring issues. Thirty minutes and $ 145 it was fixed and clean and working perfectly. I hate to be ripped off and lied to. Firefixer is great, clean, efficient, and most of all honest. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company.

Steve is the guy to call for gas fireplace installations. After a handyman failed and a plumber wasn’t sure if he could tackle the problem, Steve came in and removed the wood gas starter, painted the firebox, and installed a gas log set I had in a timely manner at a fair price. He was prompt, friendly, and answered all of my questions… not much more you can ask for. I will be calling him in the future.

Steve is THE best.
I bought a new gas log set online and thought that I would be able to install it myself. Naturally after 2 hours of playing around with it I found myself online and calling around to various fireplace stores for installation help. «Sorry, we only install what we sell» was what I was told over and over again.
I found Steve aka fire
and emailed him. He was quick to respond and was out at my house the next week. Not only did he install the gas log set, he also cleaned and inspected the entire fire place. He was professional and thorough and when he left I felt that the job was done right and SAFE. I will recommend the firefixer to anyone in need of a qualified fireplace technician.

Just bought a new place and the fireplace hasn’t worked in about five years. After attempting to fix it myself, I emailed Steve. He responded promptly and came at a great time for my schedule.
Apparently, the renovation from 5+ years ago installed molding over the CLOSED shutoff valve. He helped me get the molding off. Once that was done, he did a great job servicing the fireplace itself.
Prompt, courteous, and a reasonable price. Can’t beat that!

For some reason, my gas fireplace wouldn’t start and I had no idea what to do. The pilot wouldn’t light and the company that made the fireplace went out of business. I happened to find fire fixer doing an engine search and spoke to Steve. He guaranteed that he’ll be able to fix it.
I called today to make an appointment and he was booked. He called me back and happened to be in my area and came right away. I had to be at swimming class at 11 and he showed up at 10. He was done by 10:30 and told me how to properly maintain and operate my gas fireplace. Quick and great service for a reasonable price. I’ll definitely be calling him back for regular maintenance!
