Fetch & Play

This review is about 5 years over-​due. Our dog has been with Jose at Fetch and Play since was young. Simply put it does not get better than Jose: he is 100% reliable, he clearly truly loves his dogs and his business, he is affordable, easy to get ahold of, and has been a life-​saver over and over again over the years.
When we move within the city, we always check with him to make sure we are still in his pick-​up area, that’s how great he is. Now we are moving away for good, and we know we will never find someone like Jose for our dog.

Where can your pet go and have a wonderful time with all of his others friends? Fetch and Play is where it is at for my dog Jack, especially when we go out of town. We love the personal trainer and we get plenty of exercise and the foood is great as well.

My dog has been going to Fetch and Play for almost a year now and I couldn’t be happier with them. Jose is so nice and accomodating — be sure to follow them on Facebook because he posts daily pics and videos of the dogs. The pick up/​drop off service is convenient and you can’t beat the price in Chicago. Most importantly, there’s lots of room for the dogs to run and play as well pools in the summer; my dog always comes home happy and tired.
Definitely give them a try!

Jose is the best thing that ever happened to our dog. The very reasonable daily rate gets us 5 hours a day out of the house — and gets us out of both morning and afternoon walks. Our dog comes home happy and tired. Can’t beat that. Jose has never missed a day and reliability may as well be his middle name. He has stuck with us through thick & thin, being extremely patient with changing schedules. He is part of the magic that makes our household work.

Lulu, our heart melter from a shelter, has been visiting Jose and Martin at Fetch and Play since we adopted her in December of 2012. They were truly life savers. As anyone with a puppy will tell you, their energy level is often overwhelming. Lu visits 3x/​week and she comes home exhausted EVERY time. In the mornings she looks out the window for Martin to pull up, once she sees him arrive she is down the stairs in a flash, she can’t wait to go play with all of her dog friends.
Additionally Jose and Martin are both SO friendly and accommodating. They update FB pages with videos and pictures of the dogs playing through out the day so you can see what a great time they are all having. We are so thankful for Fetch and Play and all they do!

Fetch N Play was recommended to us by a neighbor who we met at the dog park. We have a 7 month old puppy with lots of energy to wrestle n play — a sweet doofus — looking for playmates. He sure found them at Fetch N Play. From the first day he started going he has been the happiest dog ever. From the minute Martin opens the door or rings the doorbell our Nico is wagging his tail and super excited to leave. He waits by the window waiting for the arrival of the van with all his riding buddies. He comes home four or five hours later, a very happy and tired pup ready for a nice long nap.
Jose and Martin are two of the nicest people in the world. Loving the pups and always caring for them. After only a few weeks of going we needed our pup boarded, and Jose took him in for a long weekend. Nico came home as if nothing had changed. He was happy to be home, but could not wait until the next day to go back to puppy day care.
Jose is very accommodating and flexible with scheduling and paying. Which brings me to the best part of all. Fetch N Play is the best kept secret in the city when it comes to doggie day care. It is incredibly reasonable and the best value for your money. A half day of playtime for what it costs to have a dog walker come for ½ hour — and they pick-​up and drop-​off to boot. Honestly, best thing that has happened to our pup and us.

Jose is great! He truly cares about dogs and is very accommodating. Last week when I was admitted to the ER Jose offered to watch Riley until I was released the next day. It is a huge comfort to know Jose is there in an emergency.

This place is the best !! My dog goes gaga when Jonathon comes rolling up in the van. Jose is calming and and has a genuine love for the pooches — my dog is so content since going to fetch and play!

Fetch and Play is heaven sent!
My dog was having major behavioral issues (escaping from her crate and destroying the house, having accidents, not following commands…) while I was at work and because she’s so high energy there just wasn’t enough time to give her the exercise and socialization time she needed and deserved. I looked into dog walking but it was just too expensive for only a half hour walk. Thankfully, a neighbor told me about Jose and his business and I have had one happy pup ever since! They pick her up, spend hours playing with her and then drop her off all for the same cost as that half hour walk! Jose and Jonathan are extremely trustworthy and honestly love the dogs! I send my pup on my long days at work and when I get home she is usually snoozing in her crate. She is extremely well behaved and very tired (read: happy!!!). It puts a smile on my face to see the photos and videos Jose posts of the dogs playing– they’re having so much fun! Word of warning– they are dirty and smelly when they get home but they are getting love and attention and are HAPPY… and that’s all that matters!

I have been sending our dog to Fetch and Play for almost a year now. I love it when I can see him joyously trot into the van to be taken to a large playlot where he runs, rolls, fetches, and acts like a dog for several hours a day. He is dropped off tired, smelling like wood chips and happy.
Going to fetch and play, chasing things, belly rubs and going for walks is what he lives for. I also appreciate that they are so flexible with my schedule.

Love love love Fetch & Play! We’ve been using them for 3 years now, and just love these guys. Jose and Israel are fabulous, always taking great care of our dog, at fantastic prices. Jose is super flexible to my changing schedule, and we frequently take advantage of his overnight boarding as well. I trust these guys with caring for my dog (who is basically my child, yes very spoiled), as well as keys to my home. They’ve never once made me feel like I couldn’t trust them with either. Can’t recommend Fetch & Play enough — thank you for your great service!

I highly recommend Fetch & Play! My lab, Piper, has been going since December and what a difference it has made. She was only 9 months when I started sending her and was worried about keeping her active and socialized during the winter months. What a treat Fetch & Play is for her and me! I leave her harness on her the days that she gets to go with Jose, the owner, and she anxiously sits at the balcony door looking out for him to come and pick her up. It is so nice that I don’t have to worry about rushing home on those days because I know I will come home to a happy and tired puppy. Jose is great with keeping up with my changing schedule and I love that I can easily send him an email or text with schedule changes. I especially like that Piper is picked up and dropped off and that she has plenty of outdoor space to roam and play — unlike many of the neighborhood daycare facilities. I cannot say enough good things about Jose and the wonderful service that he provides. I love that he has water activities during warm weather months — Piper will be so excited for the pools and sprinklers. If you want a wonderful place to send your loved pooch, look no further than Fetch & Play!

I have sent my dogs to Fetch N Play for five years. My dogs are even in the picture! I am a huge dog lover and my pups are my babies. So, take it from me there is no place better to send your dogs.
The pick up and drop off is great and super convenient for busy families. My dogs come home after doggy day care happy and exhausted. For hyperactive and sometime naughty dogs like my Domino, this service is a Godsend. They will even board your dogs when you are out of town. What is truly amazing is how affordable it is.
The owner, Jose is very responsive and sweet. He even lets me know when he thinks the dogs might be sick or not feeling well. I know all of the staff at Fetch N Play and think the world of them.
I have referred many people to Fetch N Play and I would definitely recommend them to you!

Jose and Israel are amazing with the dogs. My 2 dogs get picked up at 7am and dropped off around 3pm. They play in a huge lot with toys, and pools in the summer, and of course lots of other dogs. They come home from daycare exhausted, and ready for a nap. It is the best thing that has ever happened to my dogs and to me because I never have to worry about them not getting enough exercise, or about rushing home from work to walk them.
Best price for doggie day care in the city!

We’ve been sending our lab Giada to Fetch & Play for a year now and are very happy with the service.
The owner Jose is very nice and accomidating. He is always quick to respond to his phone/​email/​texts and is flexible about last minute requests. Jose or one of his staff member over and picks Giada up from her cage, takes her to play for 4 – 5 hours and then returns her back to her cage in the afternoon. I love that I don’t have to drop her off or pick her up!
There are tons of toys, pools in the summer and people play fetch with her all day. She coems back very tired. Jose will even send an occasional picture message of what she’s up to there.
Fetch and Play’s prices are the best in town– ESPECIALLY for a pick up/​drop off service. We’ve also sent her to Jose for overnight stays and have never had to keep her in a kennel.
Overall, I recommend it!
