Eurotech Car

When my regular mechanic, Gil at A to Z Auto Service, couldn’t get me in today to fix my A/​C for a unexpected car trip, he arranged for Steve at Eurotech to get me in. Steve got me in, explained what he was going to, did it, fixed the problem and then charge me less than he had quoted me. Very positive experience with both Gil and Steve.

I was having some rattling issues with my front left strut. I popped in without an appointment to ask Steve if he could take a quick look. He made time for me right away and inspected the two struts, showed me where the threads were a little different (posse probably due to the awful road conditions in Chicago) and tightened it free of charge. The noise is gone and the ride is as good as new.
Steve recently partnered with Eurotech Car in Ravenswood and the experience is just as good if not better. Hugo is going to strip and spray the rear bumper of my car next week to get rid of the mess of scratches and minor dings from street parking. I’ve been taking my car (s) exclusively to Steve at Transtastic for years and I will continue to do so as well as recommend him to anyone in need of a great mechanic.

A great mechanic is worth following wherever he goes and Steve is amongst the best — Honest and truly skilled at his work, I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a mechanic they can trust. I’m not sure what happened in the past but I had a great experience at Eurotech. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I was charged a fair price for the work I needed done to my car. They were prompt and kept me informed throughout the entire process.
Steve is a top notch mechanic I would recommend to anybody. Any time I have car trouble or someone I know does, I’ll send them to Eurotech.

This family owned business has been a fixture in the neighborhood for 20 years, but I’ve not needed to use them because I didn’t have any bodywork or repairs needed on my car until recently.
They were very nice, and made every effort to work with me with my schedule for drop off and pick up. The prices I was quoted here were approximately $ 500 less than 2 other joints. I think they are fair and honest.
My car looks awesome– no signs of the scratches or dings that were there before. Hugo did a great job and the shop is very friendly. Plus they are right behind Café 28, so… if you need some excellent sustenance while you wait, it’s very convenient.

Oh my. Three months after the Jeep was repainted, the paint across the entire roof bubbled up and peeled off. When I called Hugo, he said that the only way to fix it was to – get this – CUT OFF THE ROOF and replace it for $ 1,500 to $ 2,000. Obviously, this sound like a load of b.s. to me, so I took it where it should have gone in the first place: the Maaco on Western. They looked at it for approximately five seconds and quoted me $ 500 to fix it. When I asked why the last paint job didn’t work, they told me that the last guy to do it neglected to strip it first. I don’t know much about painting, but isn’t stripping down a rusted service the most basic first step? It’s been more than three months and the paint job still looks great. Thank you Maaco!
