I was disappointed with Nancy’s service. She rushed through my pedicure and did not trim my cuticles or buff the nail. The polish came out sloppy. I do not feel it was worth the $ 30 at all. She took a bit more time with the manicure but I have still had a whole lot better quality for the same price at other salons near by. I do not plan on coming back.

A few months ago I wanted a quick no chip manicure as close to my house as possible. I typically shy away from places with low stars, but figured I would give it a chance. Elite was amazing! They did a wonderful job on my nails and the no chip lasted over two weeks! I now go every two to three weeks and am addicted. Best no chip I have ever gotten! Not to mention everyone is very friendly and helpful!

Initially my friend and I weren’t going to come here because of the lack of stars, but since we were hitting up Second City for a show immediately after (& the place down the street couldn’t take us straight away) we agreed to get our feet pampered here… And boy were they ever, but for a price!
I walked in not knowing how much a pedicure would be and apparently they gave me the DELUXE pedicure so it wound up being $ 38… That’s how much it would be for both a mani and pedi in LA, but I guess, «when in Chicago»… And the man who attended to my toes did tell me if I flew to Chicago once a month to get a pedicure, he’s give me a 50% discount– WHAT A BARGAIN! Ha Ha Ha!
Overall though, my friend and I had a good experience, we both loved all the scrubs that were rubbed on our feet, and the hot stones were a nice touch. Not a bad pedicure but it also didn’t BLOW US OUT OF THE FOOT BATH… Aka: we weren’t downright willing to pay $ 38 for what we got. Alas, we did get to relax after walking the streets of Chicago… Sometimes you just need to spend a little extra on your feet!

I live in Old Town and I have given this place many chances. I got the worst manicure I’ve ever had. And I’ve gotten several pedicures. I went again today with my boyfriend and he got a long pedicure massage while I got nothing (same price) the lady asked us if we wanted 10 minute massages, and I said yes. The man doing my pedicure said «my hands are tired» and they both missed out on that extra money. I have never written a help review, but this place is seriously terrible. I highly recommend Old Town Nails.

I adore this salon. I’ve gone to MANY others and this place is the most consistent. I’ve only had one girl who I didn’t like my gel result, but now I have my regular tech and when they aren’t available I have a reliable back up.
Weekends get pretty busy so call ahead, but I usually go during the day on a week day and I never wait. They have the best selection of colors in no chip around.
Waxing is great. My brows are always on point.
I was convinced to try lip once. She said I needed it :(NEVER AGAIN. It made my entire lip break out and I looked like I had herpes for a week. Traumatic.

Elite Nails is the best in Old Town! The girls (and now some guys) are fantastic and the work is professional and always perfect. Kim, Sally, Nancy, Lilly, Gina, Ann, Salena all wonderful, thanks ladies!

My go to old town pedicure spot! Typically there is never a wait and it’s very affordable. Plus, they do a hit rock massage with every pedicure which is great (as such I don’t think there’s any need to get the deluxe pedicure).

Will not be returning Elite Nail ever again. I had a no chip for my hands and just a normal pedi. The water wasn’t even warm when i was soaking my feet! The lady was really rough on my feet and it hurts alot. The no chip was even worse. Terrible shapes! The lady got mad at me for taking my hands out of the UV light because it was burning my fingers!!!
No. No. NO.

One of the nicer nail salons in Old Town. Very clean and a nice assortment of polishes. The pedicures are finished off with hot stones which feels great! Prices are pretty reasonable.

Have been coming here for past 5 years… Last 3 months, they hardly
have any staff, and most are very very unhappy and surly, don’t know what has happened… Hang and Lee are the best people to go to.
If they aren’t there will not ever visit again.

I had to ask them to re-​do my manicure because it was done so poorly the first time. The owner ended up re-​doing them and even she couldn’t believe how bad they looked. The girl cut my cuticles until they bled. I’ll never go back here!

I’ve been coming here for a few years since I live in the area. The store is definitely under a new management and personally, it’s a great step up from the previous owner. Their services is wonderful, I usually go for the no-​chip since it works best for me! I don’t understand the negativity towards this place but the current staff and new owner are very welcoming and I would recommend this to anyone who’s in the area!

The first time, my boyfriend went there, they did a fabulous job. His nails looked great. Today he went in and they wanted to charge $ 5 extra just to buff his nails. The woman was extremely dry and took wreckless care of his hands. His cuticles were unfinished and he still has to go home to fix them. She acted like she was scared to apply lotion and massage his hands. Extremely poor and rude service. This is the last time he will be back there.

DO NOT GO HERE! The most rude service I have ever had. They did a terrible job and when I came back to have them fixed they were very rude to me. Go somewhere else! I will never be back. Disgusted.

My friend and I meandered here due to the fact we couldn’t find another nail shop I looked up previous. Although this was not our desired location they delivered! Can’t wait to go back again for some much needed pampering.

I’ve been trying to find a local nail salon in my area that does a great job with no-​chip French manicure/​pedicure. Found it! I love spoiling myself with a French manicure/​pedicure.

So I have mixed feelings about this place based on who you get. I have had friends and myself go and gotten a woman who does not care at all about doing your nails.
I went to get a no chip and a pedi and she basically just painted my entire toes outside of the nail and then tried to use nail polish remover to make it look nice– it did not and I complained and she gave me attitude.
The no chip and pedi is $ 55
However, I have also gone and gotten a very nice woman who does an amazing job and been pleased with my no chip manis from her and she does them very quickly — faster than other salons.
There is no parking only street and that can be tricky based on what time you go.

I love this place. They do an awesome job and they get you in and out in a timely manner. I am in wheelchair and they did a awesome job with me. I had Hang as my nail tech and when I say she was awesome I mean she was awesome. Give this place a try I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Solid nail place. This is in the neighborhood where I work so I’ve been here a handful of times. If you get a good tech your no-​chip will be flawless. I’m on a budget so I usually go every three weeks and aside from nail growth, the no-​chip is always perfect. Don’t expect much small talk they mostly yell amongst themselves but they’ve got tvs and you can catch the news (or a crappy music video. lol) They have a decent color selection, plenty of OPI, of course. I always walk in and I never have to wait, there’s always someone who can take me right away. Since I’ve been going there my nails have grown SO much so obviously their technique is good. I have one of those cards, you get 5 services and then the next one is $ 5 off. I definitely feel like my $ 35 is well spent here.

I don’t really understand all the negative reviews of this place. I had a perfectly satisfactory experience. Especially for the price. I think ladies need to temper their expectations a little. This isn’t a high class spa, it’s a walk in nail salon.
I went the afternoon of New Year’s Eve and was expecting a wait, but they got me right in. The nail tech was perfectly capable, and my nails look good. Have they looked better? Yes, but I also didn’t just spend an arm and a leg.
The salon itself is not bright and shiny, but it’s not dirty either. It was clean enough.
As for people complaining their no chip doesn’t last long enough– it’s never guaranteed how long they will last. Some people have oily nails that don’t hold the polish as well as others. Some people work with their hands more. It doesn’t always mean the tech did a bad job.
Overall, I was content with my manicure and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
