I went in a little nervous for lip injections fairly nervous, and now will never not go to Dr. Sidle. These puppies are freaking amazing. He walked me through the entire process and explained why he does what he does which made the whole thing so much more professional than the other time I had my lips done. You can tell he truly cares about what he does and is super detail oriented. Dr. Sidle and his PA Erin are absolutely THE best!

After visiting another doctor I was very skeptical about having a rhino/​septoplasty but I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sidle! On my first visit he showed me exactly what he would do to my nose and how it would most likely look. I decided to set up a time for the surgery. On the day of surgery Dr. Sidle came and talked to me and confirmed everything he was going to perform. I am now 6 months post-​op and could not be happier with how my nose looks. It fits perfectly with my face and looks very natural. Most importantly my deviated septum is fixed and I can breathe perfectly!!! Dr. Sidle and his staff are AMAZING and very professional. I would highly recommend them!

From my experience with this doctor, his revision rhinoplasty on me was a complete and utter failure. He has very strange notions of beauty. I went for a rhinoplasty to Sidle convinced he was knowledgeable and experienced. The outcome was a big fat disproportionate nose — devastating. I deeply regret it and wish I had gone to a doctor who is skilled with more experience and a better understanding of facial aesthetics and outcomes. My nose went from being a slender, feminine nose that was in harmony with my facial features, to a chunky, bulbous, angular mess — it does not suit my face. He gave it a downright peculiar shape with huge nostrils. It only needed a slight revision but he really went overboard making unnecessary changes I had not agreed to. He is very heavy-​handed for something as delicate as the human face. The workmanship was over zealous, leaving a deep scar and mis-​positioning it too high on my face. I had spoken in depth with him during the consultation, yet he still failed to grasp the patient’s goals, doing too much work on the nose that was not called for. I honestly wish I had gone to a doctor with a conservative, natural sense of aesthetics and understanding of facial balance. I feel he used my face as an experimental canvas. I definitely agree with Kev N: Dr. Sidle could not care less about unhappy patients — you will have to beg him for follow up. A good doctor is conscientious, takes pride in his work, and makes sure the patient leaves happy. Sidle does not. Before I went to this doctor my nose was petite, soft, feminine. After: course, large, fat, ugly. Aren’t you meant to look better after a rhinoplasty? Additionally, my breathing is worse than before. I wish I did not have to write this but it is my right as a patient and consumer to provide an honest review of my experience. Only trust your face with a doctor who is meticulous and has high standards. It seemed he had no idea what he was doing and was confused, not being able to tell which were my original photos and which were ones of the outcome he had proposed. No amount of makeup can disguise B-​grade work — Poor. Aesthetic. Result.

I really hope Dr. Sidle reads this because he completely changed my whole outlook on how amazing doctors can be.
In late 2013 I was diagnosed with squamous cell skin cancer on my nose. The Mohs procedure left me looking really beaten up and had me worried that my face would never be the same.
Dr. Sidle’s office is amazing because he leaves spots open in his calendar for same-​day surgery for those who have had Mohs, and he was able to schedule me in merely an hour after Mohs was complete.
From the moment Dr. Sidle walked into the door and saw me, he was absolutely lovely. His dry sense of humour had me cracking up, and he was determined to get my nose looking normal again, but it was the way he approached my fears and tears with compassion and the way he walked me through my options and helped me choose what would be best for my long-​term recovery. He talked with me during my surgery, telling me about himself and answering my personal questions with humour and detail.
He wasn’t just a robot doctor — he connected with me as a person, AND the man is a freaking facial artist.
Every concern I had in the weeks after the surgery, I sent him pictures and he would ring me back personally to talk me through my fears.
When I opted to have fat deposits inserted to fill the gap that was left in my nose from surgery, and dermabrasion to smooth out the scars, Dr. Sidle scheduled me in immediately, walked me through everything, showed me before and after pictures, and told me what to expect.
It’s been a year and a half since my original surgery, and although I have some scars, they are barely noticeable. I might visit him again now that the healing is over just to give him a hug. He made an otherwise terrible experience (getting cancer) one that wasn’t just bearable, but filled with kindness, attentiveness, and amazing results.

October 2012 I had an upper eye lift, fat transfer and chemical peel w/​Dr Sidle. Fourteen days later I wrote a glowing review on Unilocal regarding my experience w/​Dr Sidle. Unfortunately, 14 days post surgery did not represent my final results. The upper eye lift was fine, fat transfer and chemical peel were not. Two years later, after countless doctors appointments I am still dealing with issues from the surgery.
Fat Transfer: I had a hollowing below my eyes, fat was transferred to that area. After the swelling subsided the right eye appeared over-​injected — now looking like I had puffy bags under that eye and the left eye had a small roll of fat approx one inch long from my inner corner and down. Initially it was a «wait and see» approach, Dr Sidle did inject the area with some steroids to reduce the fat — ultimately in March 2014 I had another surgery with Dr Sidle to remove some fat from the right eye and roll of fat from the left. Following the ³⁄₁₄ surgery I was left with a slight lower lid retraction on the left eye which precluded me from wearing a contact lens in that eye. I have gone through numerous lens re-​fittings with the hopes that I will be able to wear a lens in that eye, by adjusting the size of the lens. How does the area look — lower right eye still puffy, like bags/​lower left eye hollowed out similar to pre ¹⁰⁄₁₂ surgery. So in my opinion bad — certainly in having plastic surgery I had an expectation the area would look better — not to mention all of the time and money involved.
Chemical peel: After all of the redness subsided, which took at least 8 weeks, I was left with white stripes going from the right side of my upper left to the left side. The stripes range from approx ¼ inch in length to ¾ of an inch. There is complete hypo pigmentation (loss of pigment) in the striped areas. The solution utilized also dripped onto my lips, partially ruining the vermilion border (lip line) in places and leaving white spots and stripes on my lips. Dr Sidle did refer me to a dermatologist who treated the upper lip with a laser hoping to minimize the difference between my skin color and the white stripes — so that possibly the white stripes would not be as visible or contrast as greatly with my skin color. Despite have 6 – 7 treatments, it was not successful. The stripes/​dots on my upper lip and lips are very visible even with makeup and lipstick. I do think of Dr Sidle every morning when I look in the mirror at these stripes/​dots. My thoughts are not only does this look really bad — but in my opinion it looks like freaky plastic surgery.
The only positive comment I can make regarding Dr Sidle is that he did attempt to rectify the issues from the ¹⁰⁄₁₂ & ³⁄₁₄ surgery and his assistant Erin is very helpful
That said I would not recommend this Doctor.

I am a current patient of Dr. Sidle and was referred to him through my amazing Dermatologist Paula Malhotra (also a member of the Northwestern Medical group). I had to have a small sebaceous facial cyst removed and could not be happier with the quality of care and expertise Dr. Sidle and his Physicians Assistant provided, and continue to provide.
I had the procedure on a Monday, and was hoping to be photo ready for an event Saturday. Dr. Sidle and his PA were very helpful and clear about recovery and made themselves readily available for any questions or concerns that I may have had along the way in order to meet that deadline. I definitely recommend this office & will continue to utilize Dr. Sidle’s expertise in the future!

I have been a nurse for 15 years, so I am very picking when selecting my healthcare professionals. Dr Sidle is wonderful! Intelligent, patient, skilled, methodical, very knowledgeable, conscientious. Did I mentioned skilled? If you were searching for a doctor for a cosmetic treatment or rhinoplasty… go see Dr Sidle. Period.

Dr Sidle recently did my rhinoplasty surgery, along with some procedures to help with my chronic congestion and difficulty breathing. I cannot say enough good things. My nose looks completely natural, like it’s the nose I was meant to have all along, and I am breathing better than I ever have before.
A great experience from pre-​op to post-​op, and I highly recommend him!

Five stars doesn’t even cut it. Dr. Sidle epitomizes a caring, detail-​oriented, and intelligent surgeon. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about my experience with him! I met with two other surgeons before deciding on Dr. Sidle — he is hands down the BEST. I could tell right away that he genuinely cares about his patients and is willing to go above and beyond in every way possible. Dr. Sidle took the time to explain my options and the expected outcomes… but more importantly, he listened carefully to my concerns and expectations. I was so impressed that he actually told me I didn’t need all of the work I thought I did — he clearly has his patients’ best interests in mind. Not only am I so happy with the results of my procedure, but I felt comfortable through the whole process that I was in good hands. His office was extremely responsive to my calls and questions, and Erin could not be any sweeter and more helpful! I would strongly recommend Dr. Sidle to anyone who wants the precision of a top surgeon with the compassion of a genuinely kind and professional person. Best surgeon all around. I would (and probably will!) definitely go back to see him!

Great doctor with an unbelievable hand for his work. My mom went to Dr. Sidle after surgery on her cheek for skin cancer. She walked in with a gaping hole the size of a silver dollar and walked out with a very small scar. I witness the before and after, and was incredibly impressed.
Did I mention that my mom is scared of everything and I was 100% certain that she would run out of the room crying and screaming? Yeah, that is what I expected, but instead, she was calm and collected and all because of Dr. Sidle. She won’t talk about anyone else — its almost like he is a member of our family now.

I was referred to Dr. Sidle by my primary care doctor when I inquired about a top plastic surgeon for a rhinoplasty in Chicago. I had the surgery over the week of Thanksgiving 2011.
I was not disappointed! Dr. Sidle and his staff are very professional. They were able to take a picture and use software to show me what the results would look like and the results are amazing! I still look like myself to others but the changes are very noticeable to me. I had bone spurs on the bridge of my nose removed, my nose straightened and a chin implant. I love my profile now and had hated it my whole life.
The surgery was so easy as well. I only took one or two pain killers and was fine on Tylenol the rest of the time. I had very minimal swelling and bruising and 4 days after surgery I was out and about enjoying the city again.
My mom complimented Dr. Sidle’s bedside manner when talking to her about how the procedure went.
I referred a girlfriend to Dr. Sidle about a month later and she was also very happy with her results.
If you have any doubts you don’t need to. You will be in genius hands. :-)

I have been going to Dr. Sidle for years for injections. What I love most about him is his honesty. He answers all my questions, he is well mannered and respectful. He takes his time and is through… I would never see anyone else. If I ever left Chicago I would return just to see him. I would highly recommend him.

Worst and most narcissistic doctor ever. Obviously let someone else stitch me up and wants to charge me to repair their mistake. I would try someone a little more humble as I have the worst scar from the one who alleged upon multiple occasion to be the best in the business. Now I have to deal with a giant scar on my face solely due to the stitching unless I want to pay for them to repair their mess up. Worst if you ask me. No humble admitting to their botched surgery. Also «forgot» about me in their office. Waited almost 2 hours until someone was available to tell this information to me. They had mistaken me as a «no show» once and tried showing them email confirmations that I was in-​fact 25 minutes early. Following, I waited another hour and 15 to be acknowledged. Seem pleasant to you? I’d give ZERO stars to this Joke.

After a lot of searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon, I finally found Dr. Sidle. He is very honest and does not attempt to do extra unnecessary procedures. Sidle will tell you when you do not need something done. What I especially liked about him though, was his ability to listen. He takes the time to listen to what you want and really tries to understand that in order to give you the best results possible. As for my surgery, everything went extremely smoothly and the results were exactly what I asked for! I definitely recommend him!

My wife and I think Dr. Sidle is wonderful. He was her otolaryngologist for revisionary rhinoplasty to correct a breathing problem. We think he is an excellent surgeon who is both attentive and honest. Choosing a surgeon is one of the most critical and stressful decisions you can make. We are so lucky to find Dr. Sidle.

I have been seeing Dr. Sidle for the past few years for facial injections — and even after relocating to Los Angeles over a year ago, I still come to Chicago to see him. Sure, I could get my injections from any number of doctors out here, but I’m just not willing to give up Dr. Sidle’s expert hand (and eye) and true professionalism. He is careful, he will NOT upsell you into doing a number of different procedures that you need (quite the contrary — he may actually tell you «no, you don’t need that!») and will always explain your options and the costs involved. In addition, his office staff is extremely professional and delightful to deal with. I have referred friends and coworkers who have unanimously agreed with me that he is the very best, and despite being an extremely accomplished expert in his field, he is one of the most down to earth, genuine and nice people I’ve ever met. If you’re on the fence, go for a consultation — he will instantly make you feel comfortable and earn your trust.

Broke my nose playing hockey went to Dr. Sidle. He seemed to understand exactly what needed to be done. Basically my nose was crooked towards the right. My right nostril had about 35% breathing and my left nostril was 100%. He also said he could remove my scar that I had due to the injury. Went in for surgery. Came out and when they were trying to clean up the scar it had split open. So they had to put stitches in to close it up. My nose was packed and was to be unpacked the following week. When the packing was removed I noticed that my left nostril seemed blocked. So the left was now 35%- 40% and my right was 100%. It basically flipped. I explained my concerns to the Dr Dougless Sidle he said that I needed to give it time to heal… well it has been 2 follow up visits to the dr and my nose isn’t fixed wont be fixed. He cancelled my follow up appts over the past 4 years. Dr sidle could care less about unhappy customers. I would 100% choose another doctor. This was a sports injury not just some surgury I was choosing to have. I don’t like him and I would proceed with caution. He denies any problem which he knows and I know that’s B.S. Choose another doc. Every doctor has a couple bad cases. But only the good ones make good to make sure the patient is 100% happy. One more note he also billed my insurance when he ASSURED me that he wasn’t going to charge me for another catscan during a follow up visit when I was complaining. Look out Chicago we might have another Dr. Mark Weinberger. What a joke.

Dr. Sidle was my otolaryngologist for some revisionary rhinoplasty to repair a breathing problem as well as taking care of my tonsillectomy. He was very thorough and attentive and explained everything in advance. I had absolutely no issues whatsoever with the surgery or follow-​up.
I highly recommend him.

I had a consultation with Dr. Sidle. He couldn’t have been better! I felt so comfortable with him. He gave me all the information I needed including slides of possible results. I now feel like I know everything I need to know about the procedure. On top of this, his nurse, Amy Farver, was fantastic! She put me at ease right away. When I am ready to have my procedure done, I’m not going anywhere else.
