Unbelievable. I was not even in the cab and I will never ever ever use this company. I was almost run down by a crazed driver who cruised aggressively out of nowhere right up behind me in a quiet residential area off of Ashland ave and then right through the stop sign at
25−30mph (no brakes applied at all). He then stopped mid-​block after he heard me say «nice» and proceeded to scream obscenities at me through his back window. Plenty of F bombs and threats… and there were passengers in the car!!! WOW… Full on rage… Maybe do background checks before hiring complete lunatics? This guy needs help. Not a good look for Dispatch Taxi. Do not use this company.

I had horrible experience with Dispatch, I called them around 10 pm and made a reservation to pick us up from my place at 4 am in the morning to O’hare airport, but they newer showed up, I was like called them 1000 times, no body answers, and I called different taxi company and have us to take to the airport, when we were on our way to airport the lady called me and asked DO U STILL NEED A CAB, what a stupid, I was pissed off, just told her go to the hell, don’t you know what time was it, it was 4:30 am, so disappointed, never Dispatch again never ever, if there was a choice to give them 0 stars I would give them double 00 — s

This is the worst experience of my life!!! I made an appointment 24 hours before my flight and two hours before confirmed it as well. No cab showed and then I called and was told ten minutes. Twenty minutes later I called again and was told that there was no reservation for me. When I asked to see a supervisor they hung up on me. I finally got royal ccc to pick me up however then dispatch had multiple can companies call me asking if I needed a cab half hour after I left. Use royal ccc or über– this company should be ashamed of itself

One cab company is like an other cab company in Chicago, in that they are all relatively mediocre.
With that said, I witnessed a Dis patch Taxi cab hit a parked car on my street last night. The driver, after picking up pieces of one of the vehicles off the road, inspecting the damage, and so on, attempted to drive away. However, his car had been badly damaged enough that he couldn’t drive it very far, between the horrible squealing noise and lack of response from his wheels. After half an hour or so, he moved his vehicle about halfway down the street, but didn’t (initially) leave a note or contact the police.
However, because that car was so slow, I could easily observe the cab number.
So I called Dispatch Taxi to let them know a driver of theirs left the scene of an accident. The first time, I was told there was no dispatcher available and they hung up on me. I called back and the second time, they transferred me to a fax machine line. As you can see, they took this very seriously.
Since that didn’t work, I first tried 311 (nobody answered) and then I called 911 to 1. complain to the city that a taxi effectively left the scene of an accident and 2. report the accident so the unfortunate owner of the parked car with a now caved in driver side door would know what happened.
About 15 minutes later, I saw the cab driver come by and leave a note (good for you eventually, sir). The cops were out about ten minutes later to write up the scene, though the driver had left again.
So, sorry driver if I got you into hot water, but you probably should have called the police on your own.
Also, this cab company apparently gives no cares about its drivers hitting parked cars and leaving the scene since they couldn’t be bothered to take any information from me. I guess be a passenger at your own risk.

The drivers for this company are horrible. They drive recklessly and have terrible customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

A taxi from this company hit my car, and did not stop. Anyone who does that probably isn’t a great business.

This is one terrible taxi company!!! Do not use them!!!
My partner was on Lakeshore Drive at 5 am on his way to work… the road was pretty empty at that time. A Dispatch driver comes flying up behind him flashing his lights, then decides to go around him and hit his back end at highway speeds … causing some pretty decent damage. PURE RECKLESSNESS!
Called 911 and they sent some useless Chicago cops who didn’t want to be there… Cab driver couldn’t find insurance information so went to the precinct to fill out a police report where the cab driver finally found his insurance info… for some fly-​by-​night insurance company who’s whole goal is to figure out how to not pay claims… so we’re pretty much screwed… either have to pay cash to fix our car or take the hit on our insurance rates because Dispatch’s insurance company won’t pay…
I hope these losers go broke!

I was just hit on 11÷7÷2014 just after 7am on Wacker and Michigan in the cross walk by cab 4483. The customer service line is of no assistance. One hung up on me when I called to report it and yelled at me. This is a disgraceful company. I now have to leave this up to the cops and the attorneys…

Terrible I called this cab company and set an appointment up with them. They told me they would pick me up immediately and text me within the next minute that the taxi is on its way. An hour and half later they finally texted me. I had been long gone by then through another taxi service. Very unreliable. Will never use again!

NEVER! I will never use their services. A driver tried to cut me off, he didn’t stop at the stop sign and continued to move towards my vehicle, so close, he almost hit me. And he was stuffing something into his mouth and smirking like he didn’t care.
Then he made his way around me and stared at me like he was going to do something and then stuffed his mouth again smirking.
Do these drivers have any idea they represent a company and can protect their job by being friendly as opposed to driving like fools?
This was a minivan with the words SHUTTLE NOT FOR HIRE on the back

Car # 6475 traveling Northbound on Sawyer Ave approaching Montrose Ave. Rear-​ended me and drove off. Driver was approx. 55, gray-​black hair, short spiky. Pock-​marked face with wrinkles and acne. Made a right turn heading East onto Montrose Ave. in broad daylight, today, 21 August 2014. First, I am filing a police accident report for a hit and run. Next I will file lawsuit against the company.

Reckless dangerous drivers.
Consider this a NO star. Would never even consider this company to anyone. Hire people that know how to drive because cutting people off to get to your destination causes accidents and lost lives. Especially on the highway! Driver thought it was funny too, but that’s okay. Let him laugh while he can. Driver #1791 on Aug. 21^st occurred at 14:15 (2:15PM)

Worst taxi cab drivers in the world. Never listen to guests. Constantly are rude. Drive incredibly slow. Never have credit card machines that are working or have change! Can drive 4922 made me HATE this company! Thanks for employing terrible driver Dispatch

I love these guys. I’ve always had clean cabs and they seem to come right away when I call them. They’re not based in my neighborhood, but they’re always on the streets. I’ve never reviewed a cab company before, but the last driver seemed to know every shortcut downtown. It felt like I was part of his own, private Batman movie. He got me where I was going on time though…

Eveyone I’ve dealt with at Dispatch has been prompt, courteous, and kind. Definitely recommend them going forward.

I figured I’d give them a try since they were in the neighborhood. We had a plan to catch so I figured we’d cab it to ohare. After waiting for about 30mins I called back and they said the driver was 2 mins away. 20 mins later I got in my car and drove myself. Got to the airport and boarded my plane. They never called!!! If you need to get someplace DO NOT USED THIS COMPANY!

So I don’t normally write reviews for cabs but my experiences warrant a scathing review for this particular cab company. I called them an hour early in the morning so I would make it to work on time. So I wait and and wait… it was an hour late and then I called them. They said 5 minutes. So I wait another 10 minutes and I look outside and see a big handicap van not labeled at all. I wait for a call from the cab, they never called, though. I go outside to talk to the van driver and as soon as I go to get in the MF’er drove away. I called Dispatch and they said that was my cab and they’d send another. I told them forget it. The time before I called them on a Fri night @ 1030 pm. Waited an hour. Never called, never showed. Never again.

Horrible service. The two times I tried to get a cab were both terrible.
The first time, I called and waited 30 minutes. When I called back to see where the cab was, they said told me that they should have been there by now, and didn’t they call me yet? I said they hadn’t; once I checked, sure enough they were waiting outside.
The second time, same story; I called and waiting 30 minutes again. After calling back this time, they said they would call the dispatch office to try to get a cab in the area, and that they would let them know that I was «still waiting». What else would I be doing in the time between I ordered a cab until now? Ugh.
Never using them again.

The dispatch portion of this taxi company is THE WORST! I called at about 9:30 am today for a cab, They did not give me an ETA on the cab but said it would be ASAP. The depot is literally 3 blocks from my home so I just knew there would be no problem getting a cab quickly. WRONG! Almost 30 minutes later I had not heard from them, I call back and am transferred to the radio dispatch who then takes my order all over again. She tells me that their process is that you call the main dispatch they send the order out to the taxis and if they don’t get any response they send it to her to radio the order out to the cabs but had not sent it to her yet? What kind of terrible system is that, you just leave people waiting indefinitely for you to figure it out? How much longer would it have been before they would have called me? She calls me back and tells me a cab will be to me in 5 – 8 minutes. finally a cab comes at about 10:05am.
Thankfully I made it to my appointment on time, and this is no reflection of the cab driver himself, he was prompt and friendly and the cab was fresh and clean, this review is solely based on the dispatch service. I will NEVER EVER use this service again, they are lackadaisical when it comes to promptly caring for their customer’s needs and do not deserve my business!

Overall, a good experience. We called the day before for a 6 AM pickup in Albany Park, and got a call at 5:55 AM that the cab was outside waiting to take us to O’Hare. The cab was clean, the driver helped with our bags and was very nice.
The only disappointment I had was trying to use a credit card. The machine was out of paper and the driver didn’t know how to make it work even after swiping my card a couple of times, so I wound up paying with cash. Then a charge came through on my card, but I was able to call them and they got it straightened out right away.
