History

Established in 2010.

Digital Hydra was founded by Chicago filmmakers Patrick Wimp and Hamzah Jamjoom after completing the master’s degree studies at DePaul University’s Digital Cinema program. We employ a wide network of filmmakers and creatives to help bring exceptional visual storytelling to all of our work.

Over the past several years, our company has helped local, national and international clients to create gripping and creative cinematic content for a variety of purposes. We specialize in storytelling, creative development and commercial grade cinematography and post-​production that allows our work to stand out amongst a sea of competitors.

We have screened films and received awards in multiple international film festivals including Cannes, Chicago International Film Festival, Carmel and many more. Our commercial work has aired on national networks such as CBS, WGN and Comcast Sportsnet and has been lauded with ProMaxBDA and Emmy awards for excellence in production.

Business Owner

I am a Chicago native and co-​owner and creative director of Digital Hydra, LLC. I have been a working filmmaker for almost ten years and am proud to have been a part of a number of award winning film, commercial and music video productions.

As a business owner I put a great deal of emphasis on developing lasting business relationships and creating captivating cinematic content.

As an individual I love travel, Chicago sports and spending time with my friends and family.
