I recently sent flowers to a friend of mine who just moved to Chicago and was starting her first day of work in a new position in her company. I ordered the flowers online on Sunday and asked for them to be delivered before noon the following day. I am happy to say that they were delivered exactly as I had requested. There was one small mix-​up but Rosa and her staff resolved the issue to my satisfaction and I would say that they really are customer service oriented and do try to fix things if the customer has an issue. I would recommend working Designs by Rosa and would order from them again.

I am in Chicago on business and fell quite ill late last night. My husband ordered a feel better bouquet of flowers from this shop which is a short distance away from my hotel. The flowers are gorgeous and the delivery man was super nice too! Such a great pick me up!

Came in for a gift for my boss for Boss’s Day with a team budget and expectation and Rosa and team delivered to perfection. By far the best product within the area, trust me I checked.
Customer service is awesome and great selection, Designs By Rosa is legit and will it will be the new standard experience for me when thinking about any other floral location.

This place was great. I came here for a last minute bouquet for some friends that let us stay at their place while we are visiting. Both of the girls that were working there were very helpful and put together a wonderful display. They honored the check in discounts from Unilocal.I will definitely be coming back when I’m in town. I wish I knew about this place when I lived off of Roosevelt and Michigan.

Very nice owner– went in with no idea what I wanted for my girlfriend— described what she liked as far as colors are concerned— and she put together a nice little spread that ended up lasting over two weeks! I usually use a «big box» online service but will definitely be back to Rosa’s shop again. :-)

I ordered flowers for my GF for valentines day. They let me pick out a color scheme, pick my budget, and delivered a beautiful boquette of flowers.
I hand delivered them to my girlfriend after work and she couldn’t stop blushing as we made our way north out of the loop. She loved them and that’s all that really matters.
I’ll definitely be using this place again.

As a former repeat customer, I can no longer recommend Rosa or her shop.
I have ordered from Rosa a number of times and each time was a good experience until this Valentine’s Day. To say the ball was dropped would be an understatement and the owner and her associates made it quite clear they do not give a damn about doing a good job, just getting more orders.
I ordered an arrangement on January 31 for pick-​up on Valentine’s Day.
When I arrived Valentine’s Day morning, I was told that they forgot to put the arrangement together and that, «These things happen.» I was not offered an apology and neither the manager nor Rosa even spoke with me, instead deferring to a cashier/​associate, whom they placed the blame on.
I was told that to make-​up for this, they would deliver it ‘complimentary’ sometime between 10am — 3pm on Saturday. That isn’t a reasonable offer, but without many other options, I said fine and went along.
The arrangement was delivered and left in the mail room (every other florist delivers to the door in my building) and most importantly, it was not what I ordered, to put it delicately. I called about this and I was told that Rosa herself put this together, which I can only take to be a slap in the face or an intentionally subpar arrangement for what I paid. I could find a better arrangement at Jewell or Whole Foods for $ 25, let alone for the price I paid (multiples of that). The flowers were wilted and not the ones or the amount I ordered.
I will not be using Rosa again. They balked when I asked for a refund (offering to return the flowers/​vase), which says enough bout their quality of service in my eyes. I m yet to receive a real apology.

This year was my first year buying from here and they definitely did a great job at 1) delivering on time 2) accommodating and 3) trying to keep me happy when they first got the order messed up. The first flowers sent were 80% there in that of the flowers that came with the design, a few had some brown edges. I called and spoke to Frank (manager) and he was very apologetic and offered to replace and even upgrade the next flowers which were shipped within two hours of the phone call. Now, don’t get me wrong, I would appreciate folks getting it right the first time but sometimes it is about how you get back up after a fall or in this case, how you help to bring a customer to that «happy place» after a misstep that makes all the difference. Thank you to Frank and I appreciate the effort you guys made to keep me and more importantly my wife happy this Valentine’s Day weekend. Would recommend these guys for sure.

The shop owner is a truly wonderful person. Thank you for making my bad night better with such a simple gesture of handing off some roses at the end of the night. I passed them on, so you indirectly improved the nights of many others as well. Thanks again :-)

I wanted to buy a bouquet at the last minute. I checked out Unilocal reviews for a couple of florists and decided to go with Designs by Rosa. Its a tiny shop, conveniently located in the loop. I purchased a Unilocal deal $ 10 for $ 20. Now the catch is minimum purchase: $ 30. The owner was nice, but she kept on asking me how many flowers of each kind to put in. Now someone would appreciate that, but being in a hurry, I kept telling her to be the best judge and keep it under $ 30. Overall, it was a fine experience.
Quick, efficient, good variety of flowers, value for money.

Had my order ready on Valentine’s Day, arguably their busiest day of the year. The price was right and the tulip arrangement was pleasant and attractive. They didn’t even ask for my Unilocal deal and honored the discount with a smile.

The Sabbath was nigh on a hot and balmy Friday eve. Alas, we needed flowers for our lovely hostess en route to dinner. We needed a place downtown that was close and convenient to work, but also a place that would provide quality in a short amount of time. Despite the closing hour, my girlfriend and I were able to get a beautiful arrangement of lilies, orchids, and other beautiful garden fare (and so late in the day as well).
A caveat: Hours later, after presenting the flowers to much joyous appreciation, we had come to discover that we left our cell phone at Designs by Rosa. Did we panic? A little, but the wonderful people at Design by Rosa took care of it. After leaving a message, we received a phone call the next morning stating that our cell phone was accidentally left at the store, and that they would gladly hold on to it until we picked it up. Therefore, we wish to honor the good people at Designs by Rosa with a sterling Unilocal!review.
Cell phone mishaps aside, the flowers were beautiful. If you are ever in a bind, in the Loop, and in need of some greens (yellows, oranges, and even pinks), stop by Design by Rosa.

Let me tell you a story… The first time I received flowers from my boyfriend was for my birthday. He went by there and had a discussion with her, emphasizing that my favorie color was red. The arrangement shoud designed couldn’t have been more perfect! Roses, gerbera daisies, and even red/​orange tinted sunflowers in a tall cylindrical vase. Beautiful on my desk at work and on my dinner table at home.
THEN, a year later, my birthday rolled around again. Since Rosa had done such a fantastic job the first year, my boyfriend of course decided to go to her again. He left extremely disappointed. He went through the same dialogue with her, telling her that she did a great job the year before, my favorite color is red, etc. etc. So, what did he get in return? An arrangement of all white flowers (lillies, daisies, hyacinth) that were very fragrant, with not enough filler and in a square vase that was too big for the flowers in it so they just flopped around. When he went to pick it up, he was shocked and asked if she remembered that he said that my favorite color was red. She apparently remembered and offered to put a red ribbon on the square vase, which she did. It did not work out so well.
He’s never been back in the five years we’ve been together. Never. again.

I walk past the shop all the time and stopped in after my family pet passed away. I wanted to get a nice floral arrangement for my mom because she was heartbroken.
I don’t recall the name of the woman who helped me but she was VERY nice, professional and helpful. I explained to her what I was looking for and the reason for the purchase and she helped me pick out a vase after explaining the different flower choices.
She pointed out several flowers she could place in the arrangement and I informed her that I wanted something orange included since that is my mom’s favorite color.
The arrangement that my mother received was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I think it was the nicest floral arrangement I’ve EVER seen. She went above and beyond with the color orange too. I loved the arrangement and my mom was brought to tears.
I don’t purchase flowers often but when I do I know where I’m going from now on!

I’ve always received great service whenever I’ve shopped here. Today was no different. rosa is always pleasant, creative and reliable. She always offers me tips/​info on extra things. I really appreciate that. I have to say though that 5.00 for a mylar balloon (the small standard size) is a bit much to me but I’d gladly pay for it here than at Walgreens or CVS. I wish her continued success!

I have frequented this flower shop for several years since it’s so close to my work. I used to be able to get some pretty arrangements from Rosa for the budget I wanted. However, lately I never see her and only see a variety of other people working in there. The last 4 arrangements I’ve had from her location haven’t had any floral food in them, have been poorly designed and executed, the flowers haven’t looked fresh when I get up to look at them and they die within two days.
I gave them one last chance two weeks ago to do an arrangement and again, dead flowers in less than two days! It’s embarrassing to give that to someone! You’d expect that from grocery store flowers or something but not from a florist.
