I just had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. My sales person, Jay evaluated my home and listened closely to the issues being experienced and although skeptical at first about the zoned heating system he recommended, Jay was spot on! After getting the furnace installed, my upstairs is 8 degrees warmer. Having a second thermostat upstairs resolved my problem.
Technicians, Steve and Robin were excellent. Both explained the process as they moved through the stages of installation. They were very courteous and respectful of my home; wearing the shoe coverings and ensuring my home was left tidy and clean; especially in the furnace room. After removing the old furnace the area was quite dirty. I was going to clean it before they installed the new furnace, but was told they’ll ensure everything is properly cleaned. And it was left spotless!
In addition to the new furnace and cooling system, the ducts were aero sealed. Amazing how much leakage was escaping. Now with the ducts sealed, I look forward to seeing more savings on my monthly bills. Well worth having this done!

Deljo came highly recommended by our neighbors; they lived up to their reputation. On one of the coldest days of this season, our 32-​year-​old furnace stopped working. The customer service representative with whom I spoke was professional. I asked about a senior discount and received $ 25 off the cost of the service call. The repairman (Taylor) came in the time frame that was scheduled and called to let me that he was on the way. What we hoped was a simple electrical problem cascaded into an expensive repair on over-​time. Normally, I am suspicious of those circumstances, but my spouse who knows a great deal about furnace motors and electronics was with the repairman throughout the examination. With a few documented defects identified, we decided that the parts replacement might just be the tip of the iceberg on this aged furnace. We opted to discuss a new furnace. We talked to the salesman (Luke) at 8:30 AM; he came to house at 9 AM and by mid-​morning, the crew was there. We purchased the furnace that we wanted, that we knew would heat our house properly. Naturally, the price of a new furnace and labor is shocking, but it was fair for the product. If the weather was better, I might have shopped around, but we felt the price was in line with what we might get from other Carrier dealers. The crew removed the old one, re-​piped gas line, fixed duct work, put in openings for future planned duct work, installed the filter at a place where I can reach it, put in a new drip line that was far better than what we had, walked us through operations, and cleaned-​up well. They were focused and worked through; it took at least 3 hours. We received another senior small discount on the furnace, and they handled the Com-​Ed rebated for us, so that was also deducted from the price. The next day, the company followed to make sure we were satisfied. The only thing that we noticed after the fact was that the pilot for the water heater went out when the gas was turned off. We re-​lit it.

Deljoh was very professional and responsive. From the customer service rep on the phone to our technician who responded. Javier, the technician, was courteous, prompt, and thoughtful as he repaired our issue. He called ahead of time while en route to not only give us a heads up that he was close, but also to talk through the issue so that he would be as efficient and effective as possible upon arrival. I realize that this benefits them too, since I’m paying for service rather than by hourly rate, but regardless I value my time and anything that helps them get in-​and-​out more quickly and the heat up and running sooner is a benefit. While he was here fixing the problem, he also did a good job explaining what things to look out for next and gave some simple tips to keep the furnace running smoothly. Very good experience all around.

My experience was nothing short of golden. I have to say it is rare to find customer service like this today. Every time I called in… from my first contact to when I needed service after the job was done, the girls at the office were phenomenal, very happy, professional. And the actual service in my home was exactly the same. The two men (Taylor and I believe Carlos?) were absolutely wonderful, gentlemen, kind and helpful. During such a stressful time at the end of the year when money is tight and this is the last thing you need, everyone made the experience so smooth and easy that it helped keep me calm. I so appreciate the classic professionalism that you all carry out. It is a breath of fresh air.

Called to schedule a service and the customer service on phone is horrible attitude. They gave me a ridiculously high price compared with other companies (60% more than another good company with more and better reviews on Unilocal) and refused to explain why their numbers are so high. She also refused to allow me use the coupon listed here in Unilocal.
I am not sure how their technicians’ skills are because I ended up not using their service, but I would not want to use their service just to avoid dealing with the customer service.

Deljo came through with the lowest price and most professional bid in a recent search for someone to replace our home furnace in Lakeview East.
On installation day they were on time, respectful, and did a great job with no drama, stress or extra costs beyond what we agreed to.
They even sent cookies the day after as a thank-​you for the business; Deljo is now our go-​to for HVAC service.
I would share any negatives here to working with them but I can’t really think of any!

Wow. a perfect example of how your not supposed to run a business.
Horrible customer service on the phones and horrible response time. I has an appointment and nobody showed up. I called back and they said that they would have a technician call me, he never did.
2 days later I call again to schedule another appointment and the lady on the phone argues with me about what happened the previous time. I tell her that it doesn’t matter but i would like to schedule another time for today. She still continues to argue with me about the previous experience, I say «Lets forget about the other time and get something on the books for today» … I refuse to keep arguing with her and then she blurts out «You can have someone on overtime for today or pay regular price tomorrow».
When you show up to work, leave the attitude at the door. If I’m on the phone with you and have my credit card in my hand, that should be an instant sale for you.
Deljo you are doomed to fail if you dont fix your practices

I highly recommend DelJo. I realized our heat wasn’t working (it was still pretty warm outside) on a Friday and they came out Saturday afternoon to do a consultation. It turns out that we either had to pay quite a bit to replace a part or to get a new furnace (ours was already pretty old). We chose to replace the furnace and to get a humidifier. The price quoted was very reasonable and we were up and running with heat only two weeks later (it could have been earlier, but we chose to schedule the appointment when we did for our convenience). There is an $ 89 fee for the initial consultation, but I think that is totally reasonable given that you get such prompt and reliable service and don’t have to wait around during work hours.

Our 30+ yr separate furnace and hot water heaters were replaced with a combined high efficiency gas boiler system and hot water storage tank that does the job for both. We couldn’t be more pleased. The entire company impressed us from the estimate process to installation, to cleaning up. Their pricing was great. These folks do superior work! Highly recommended!

So our air central air unit broke during a horrible hot spell in August. We needed someone immediately and found them through Unilocal and they had a discount offer available. We took a chance. They showed up on schedule and fixed it immediately. Fair price, great service and no problems!

Had Deljo come out to fix a problem with the air condition – air was hot. They came out in a timely fashion and fixed the problem. I told them there was a loud noise coming from the unit – it’s on the roof and the bedroom is on the third floor. The repairman was more interested in signing me up for an annual contract then listening to the noise. For them to come back out I would have to pay the high cost for them to bring a ladder. This to me was bad business.

Deljo is awesome! I emailed the night before & the next afternoon Alberto came out & did a great job. Everything was explained thoroughly up front as well as the price which was very reasonable. The AC had a blocked drain & was fixed promptly. The service call & repair was less than just the service charge alone from the other company I used to use! Highly recommend Deljo!

Ralph from Deljo serviced my furnace and humidifier today. He was awesome! We recently purchased a new home, so I had several questions about my HVAC system. Ralph is a very nice guy and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to answer every question. We signed up for the Gold Service, which saved us money on parts and future maintenance visits. I would highly recommend Deljo and Ralph based on my experience today.

Deljo handled installation of a new furnace, AC and restructuring of duct work for my business. The entire process could not have gone better. The sales rep, Andrew Parra was extremely responsive. The work was fairly complicated and I really felt that he took the appropriate amount of time and energy to scope the job properly. The technicians, were clean, on time, very friendly, and certainly knew what they were doing. Communication throughout the project was clear and timely. They finished the work when they said they would finish at the price they committed. Any little things that came up during the work were quickly communicated and resolved. My overall satisfaction with them is very high. They will be my first call for any future HVAC needs.

The summary of my experience is;
— The quotes they provided we extremely high for the work being quoted as proven by taking the time to check.
— They charged me weeks later for a 2^nd visit which wasn’t going to be billed and was never signed off on. This was after being $ 400 – 500 into them already. It is pretty clear that when enough time had passed they were sure I wasn’t going to have them do a full furnace replacement they tried to extort me into they decided there was no reason to be honest and fair and decided to take another little bite out of my wallet.
— They attempted to extort me into rushing into an overpriced and not 100% necessary furnace replacement by taking advantage of the fact heat was out and it was one of those record chicago cold snaps with subzero temps.
Those are just the facts. Beyond this on the more subjective side I felt I was treated rudely, subjected to raised voices, and not listened to at all about what I wanted despite them wanting me to spend thousands with them.
I strongly recommend you do not call them in an emergency situation because you will have a high chance of being taken advantage of.

Timely and amazing. They were recommend to me by a realtor friend.
For the past two years my HVAC was making a chocking noise. I contacted four seasons that cleaned my system but could not diagnose the problem. I was fearfully of a potentially costly expense.
The technician from Deljo took the time and was able to determine a blockage in one of hoses that was pushing the water due to condensation into my fan.
$ 125 later, I was provided an assessment of my unit 93% efficient (woot!), cleaned and serviced with a recommended service plan that may eventually save me thousands! Excellent service!

Deljo is pretty good.
They were extremely on the spot and responsive to us during the polar vortex. Even during that frantic period, they got back to us immediately.
They also recommended to us an expensive A/​C system, that would not have worked out so great for us because our house has no return grilles in the top floor. I did a full walk through of the house with their salesman, nice guy, including the upstairs. I didn’t know jack about returns and vents and how they work to keep the air moving through your house to keep you cool, etc., and the salesman didn’t mention it, either. He may just not of noticed.
Because of some surprise medical bills, we ended up luckily going with a cheaper system, anyway. One of the system installers explained to me why my upstairs was still so warm and humid, even after the vents had been opened all the way and the doors had been left closed for a couple of hours. It was because we didn’t have returns and vents creating higher pressure and a better flow of air. Of course, I understand heat rises, so there will ALWAYS be a difference between an upstairs and downstairs, regardless of the AC system, but knowing that I would still have to use a window unit, even after the installation was finished and the system was running, because I had no return grilles, would’ve definitely factored into my initial decision, at least price-​wise. Thank god we went with the cheaper option. Good enough for us.
But on the plus side, they got all the work done in one day and the system they put in works just great. And we really feel that their Gold Star program pays for itself.
