Went here because it was two blocks to where I’m staying at. Food is terrible. Bought 3 tacos. Very salty. Horchata had a perfume scent that I found unattractive plus it was too sugary to the point it tasted like sugared water.

Del Campo is a childhood restaurant my family and I ate at quite often years ago. As the years have gone by, the quality in service and its food have declined badly so my family stopped coming. For a good reason. A few days ago my brothers and I decided to order from here for the heck of it: two pizza puffs and three cheeseburgers. The burger’s meat portion is rather thinner than I remember from years before and we were given a small portion of fries too, however for 2.99, you pay for what you get. The meat wasn’t all that bad but I could barely taste it at all. There was more lettuce than there was meat. The fries weren’t bad at all, in fact it’s taste sort of improved from the last time I had them but as I said before, there weren’t that many so it felt like only a handful. They’ve gotten very stingy with their portions from what I see. Plus they were cold. The pizza puff was atrocious! It had no meat, no flavor and the price for it wasn’t fair for the poor taste in quality. The prices here are ridiculous and its indoor dining restaurant is completely outdated. You’d think with how much they charge for their poor quality food, they’d afford to redesign the place… Or at least get better food. I’ve ate here for years and the place is rapidly falling off the radar with its poor in customer service too. From the other reviews, I’m not surprised the folks there have been rude. The place is even known for their pizza in a way in their neighborhood and even they can no longer make it the way it used to be: actually kinda good. Instead now it’s made like it was frozen out of the box instead of actually being handmade. The reason for the two stars is because I still somewhat hope for improvement, but with the way they continue to run things, I might as well stop now…

No stars! I live in Lombard and made a trip to Del Campo Pizzeria and Ramon’s Tacos because I used to live in the neighborhood many years ago. I order 2 pizzas, 1 medium pepperoni and 1 large sausage and green pepper. The pizzas where very bland and the toppings were extremely sparse. I called back the next morning to speak to the manager Araceli who wasn’t in until 4. Araceli was especially rude and has no obvious qualities of customer service. She immediately went to explain why the pizza was the quality it was. Which in no way begins to explain her feeble attempt at helping me become a satisfied customer. She talked over me and even after I told her I didn’t like the fact she was trying to talk over me and interrupting me from explaining my dissatisfaction, she proceeded to tell me she didn’t like being interrupted either. This was a laughable conversation. When I asked to speak to the owners she told me I more than welcome to speak to the owners who are her parents but they were in Mexico until Wednesday! She also told me she didn’t want to speak to me about the issue because I wasn’t the person who place and picked up the order(I sent my wife in). I told her my name is on the receipt as I am the one who paid for the pizzas. No matter, she was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. I was dissatisfied with the quality of the meal I purchased… close to $ 30 and even more so with the customer service. She even hung up the phone on me. Terrible food, terrible service and attitude. Not worth your hard earned money, time and effort. STAYAWAYFROMDELCAMPOPIZZERIA!!! They will never get my business again.

I used to order from here as a kid and it was great! But it’s not the same anymore. They’ve lost their touch. Little Caesar’s is better because you at least know what to expect! I was disappointed in my purchase. Oh, and if you order delivery, they make you walk to their car. Really? Never again.

Good Pizza Joint This place is an old school MOM&POP establishment that serves grade A pizza in a no frills matter of fact fashion. Yeah the place looks a little dated and was pretty empty(take note most people get take out from this place) but then again me and the family went on an afternoon on a Sunday so maybe that explains it all. This pizza tastes almost identical to Home Run in Pizza from the smell to the sausage and sauce but with a few key differences in the texture and overall taste. What makes it stand out is the way the crust tastes! it was good enough that we made the crust into a defacto bread stick that you can dip in marinara sauce which is what we did. The Service? A-OK One attentive girl who made sure we were taken care of and was able to multi task between us and orders at the counter and taking(many) phone calls. It was obvious that she usually deals with phone or counter orders but none the less she was as I said attentive. The Value? Let me say right of the bat that unlike Home Run Pizza which has gotten really overpriced lately this joints prices are fair and considering we ordered a jumbo pie with sausage and mushrooms+fries+sodas+Italian Beef(which was eh) to a grad total of about 34 bucks! Yeah our wallets and stomachs…:)Happy Dudes! My recommendations? Now I cannot give recommendations about the other items here but let’s just say they got some classic Italian items along with a full taqueria style menu but considering that their already exists like five or six taquerias in the neighborhood why not focus on the classics that have maintained this place for more than sixty years? Final Thoughts? Overall this place took me by surprise considering my family and I had not returned for more than ten years and yeah I loved it they loved it what’s not to like? The Neighborhood? GROWSOMEBALLS!

Terrible. The food here is just bad. They have pizza as well as tacos. I think its a little over priced for the food that they have. Even the cheese fries are gross. The cheese and the ingredients on the pizza never stick. Its always slimy. The crust is very soft and undercooked. I’ve never had a good experience here.
