Dr. Debacker has been my doctor since I moved to Chicago from the burbs in 1987. I’ve always had access to great doctors and excellent medical care, but he’s the best. In fact, he’s so good that I kept him as my primary care physician even though he stopped taking any /all medical insurance many years ago. That’s right, he’s not in any plan. You pay for the visit when you leave his office. His office will still process your insurance card for you so that payments might count toward deductibles and my insurance company sends me a paltry some if I go over the«out of plan» deductible. He is able to make referrals to «in plan» speciliasts, though, so the expensive stuff would be covered under my own plan. I must not be alone in thinking very highly of him because his practice is still thriving despite not taking insurance.
