Stopped in for a quick tea gift idea. I spend a wonderful afternoon exploring teas varieties. Great tea combinations for all your tea lovers! Can not wait to try all the teas I purchased and return to explore many more varieties. Samples are great. Staff has a passion for tea and providing excellent customer service. Never felt rushed or pressured.

They have different flavours of matcha green tea powder !! Green tea in its many forms has been my recent focus in life lol

David’s Tea is a haven for tea lovers everywhere. The style of the place is slick, modern and organized. The service is even more surprising. As soon as you walk into the venue, you are greeted by free samples of tea (which vary everyday.) At first, one might be overwhelmed by the amount of options this place has to offer, but not to fear! The wonderful clerks will help you every step of the way. Every time I enter, I feel like a wine connoiseur, only instead of wine there is tea, wonderful, blissful tea. The clerks encourage you to smell the tea before making your decision, and I’d be surprised if you catch them with a frown on their face, as their constant wide smile are perfect symbols of their excellent customer service.

This place is the jam! All of the staff were super helpful and went above and beyond to help us choose our teas. Pam, Barbara and Steve were super knowledgable and friendly. Not to mention, the tea is SO good.
I would recommend this spot to every tea lover. Tons of options and not too overpriced. The quality is incomparable. We loved it!

This was the first time for my daughter and i, visiting this wonderful tea store. STEVE, the associate who helped us pick out our teas was AMAZING, and he obviously loved his job and was very knowledgeable, as i had no idea where to begin. I had free coupons for the tea, and i tried tipping him, and his response was that they cannot accept tips, but a Unilocal review would be even better. Myself, being a server, respected that, and as i am a woman of my word, here is your review. I will definitely be returning to this store, the Naperville one bc i live in the burbs (i was out this way for taco fest). My mother is also a tea lover, and i will most definitely be getting her something for Christmas from here! I was astonished at all the different varieties offered, not knowing such a thing existed. You can order your tea in a multitude of varieties including, decaf, caffeine, hot, cold, even as a latte style. There are also wonderful gift packages and different tea sample gift sets. Also, the store was very clean and smelled AMAZING! Thanks again STEVE for the wonderful experience! !! We WILL be back

I love shopping at David’s Tea. If you like flavored teas they have so many unique flavors, many of which rotate seasonally. The staff also rock. They are so personable and hands on. On my most indecisive days they’re willing to bring out container after container for me to sniff. I also love how enthusiastic they are about the product. The space is also always well organized, clean and pleasant to shop.

Amazing. Their tea is delicious, they always have the cutest merchandise (adorable seasonal tea mugs with built-​in strainers, tea candles, etc) and the people working there are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
No sooner had I stepped through the door than I was offered a sample of their new seasonal iced tea. The staff is more than willing to pull down a dozen different tea canisters for you to get a whiff of the aromas, and package up as much or little as your heart may desire.
Make sure that you try one of their tea lattes, too — I’m particularly partial to the peanut butter cup tea they have right now in a soy latte — it sounds odd, but it’s amazing!

We’ve been exposed to David’s Tea for months and months and this was our first time going into a store. True to it’s name, David’s Tea is all about tea!
David’s Tea is pretty much just tea. Loose leaf tea at that. Although they have some funky flavors (cotton candy tea anyone?) most of it is fun twists on familiar green, white, black and herbal blends. They serve it hot, iced, or bubbly.
I think they have a few snacks, but that is definitely 100% naaaaat their focus. It’s not like Starbucks where they’re like, «Do you want a muffin to go with your chai latte?»
What they are about is tea accessories and products. M could not resist buying some fancy shmancy iced tea pitcher and two small pouches of loose leaf teas. We each got some tea in a cup also. She got iced and I got hot: both tasty.
The employees were out-​going and hyper and their exuberance about tea bordered on annoying. It took us a WHILE to get used to their energy. They took down armfuls of tea bins and encouraged us to take whiffs from the sniffer compartments. They were true encyclopedias of tea knowledge. They asked us questions about our preferences, had us smell teas, and then narrowed down a selection for a perfect tea for each of us.
The seating inside of David’s Tea are two square coffee tables and lounge-​like chairs. You might sit and read a book or converse with a friend but it isn’t a place to go and work. I wanted to write thank-​you cards and had to go to one of their outside tables on the sidewalk.

These guys have a great selection of teas! I walked out with a chocolatey mix that is mind blowingly delicious! I also highly recommend you try their iced carbonated tea for a nice and refreshing treat, especially on a hot summer day! Ask the workers for flavor suggestions, they really have so many options that it gets a bit hard for me to make a decision on my own!

This is my favorite David’s Tea location in the city. I actually live closer to a different location, but am always disappointed in that one and usually end up at the southport store. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They help when I need assistance and leave me be if I just want to look around. I love all the teas I’ve tried so far!

I love iced teas. Hot teas to me are for comfort or for when you are sick. Not knocking folks that love their hot teas, but I love the flavor of a great iced tea. And I’m not burning my mouth, let’s not forget that.
David’s is a great place to explore the world of tea. They offer so much for every taste – green tea, black tea, white tea, rooibos. it’s a fun place to browse.
My most recent visit, the great guy behind the counter was super helpful. Helping me to narrow down my flavor for the day – strawberry colada. I had it made into a «tea pop» meaning they steep the tea and instead of adding cold water to make the iced tea, they use carbonated water for some fizzy fun. Delicious and refreshing!
They really do a great job helping you find your flavors by asking about your favorite scents and what your tastes are. I also ended up walking away with some grilled pineapple tea blend for my at-​home iced tea.
Super fun and sleek shop. I love the bright colors – works great for the summer and also brightens up my mood in winter.

I love getting gifts for people at this store. they have a lot of great items and the workers are always friendly and helpful!

If you’re a sucker for melon like me, try their Honey I dew! Amazingness. Staff is very friendly too

CUZ IT’S ALL ABOUT THE TEA…‘BOUT THE TEA…‘BOUT THE TEA…
I love the variety of teas offered at this particular David’s Tea store. If you are (or are not) a tea connoisseur and love to drink tea on a regular basis, like yours truly, you may want to try several of their teas. I enjoy and appreciate white teas and they are not always easy to find. I appreciate white teas for their unmatched subtlety, complexity, natural sweetness, and delicacy. The white teas are the least processed (steamed and dried) of all tea types, so they are pure pleasure for your palate! When we walked in the young lady at the counter smiled, greeted us, chatted with us (like we were old friends) and offered us a free sample of tea, which was incredibly delectable. Amazing!
On the other hand, if you like a straight green tea you will enjoy the clean, delicious, crisp taste of the variety of green teas they offer. When paired with other fruits or spices the flavor excites your taste buds and provides an enjoyable ethereal treat! However, if you prefer Chai teas they offer several varieties. Chai spice is generally a combination of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and vanilla, among other spices. Each one delicious in its own way. I really like the Maharaja Chai (simply add hot milk or soy) with a little bit of honey. Simply nirvana. Their Holiday Tea was prodigious! The variety of teas here are endless. In fact, their herbal teas are made from super fresh quality ingredients that you can actually eat them! From the sweet to the spicy, this joint has something for everyone.
The customer service is always ebullient, friendly and effusive. Customer service alone is worthy of 5-​stars. Also, the store is beautiful and inviting with clean lines and large glass windows. Due to the fact that parking can be pediculous in this «Pay to Park» neighborhood, my final rating is 4-​stars.
SOME TIPS:
Go here when they first open or just before 11 am (you’ll beat the hipster and millennial crowds — they tend to sleep late on weekends — maybe they need to sleep off their katzenjammer — hangover). You should be able to find a parking spot in front of their store (or very close to the store). The store is located on the west side of the street and around the corner from Addison.
Go right after Christmas (December 26 – 28) to get some really good «sale» prices on specialty teas, travel thermos, beautiful tea mugs. We did, and we were very fain and super stoked. We scored some really fantastic deals. I’m still drinking some of their tea that we purchased after Christmas. I love the Holiday Tea that they had «on sale» so I purchased lots of this particular tea, because it was so incredibly intoxicating to my palate. It was calling my name (fist pumping up in the air — Lauren, Lauren, Lauren, Lauren)!
The tea mugs are sturdy as are their travel thermos in a variety of beautiful colors. We really enjoyed browsing and never felt pressured to leave. We were not asked 10 times if we could be helped. The staff is very professional and friendly and the store manager was/​is awesome. After we finished our shopping spree here we went to Lululemon’s and other stores nearby. This is the largest Davids Tea store in Chicago (as compared to the Wicker Park store). It is nicely organized and super clean. If you enjoy a variety of excellent quality teas and love to drink it year round — this is a «must» for any tea connoisseur!

This place just blows me away! Every time I walk in here I end up leaving satisfied! Whatever taste I have, the employees can pin point it to what exactly would be best for me!

Never really been a tea person, but the folks behind the counter here are super friendly and seem very passionate about their tea.
There’s a wall of hundreds of types, and all can be served hot, iced, latted, or sodaed.
I recognized Mate from time spent in Colombia, but the staff didn’t seem to know much about it add compared to the green and black teas. But sipping mate out of a mate-​straw is quite an obscure experience, so I can fault them!

I love DAVIDsTEA. There are only 6 seats inside so don’t plan to camp out in the winter.
The staff has been without fail endearing and informative every time I am here, which tells me this company must encourage happy workers. And that makes me want to spend money here!
They have every kind of tea. Expect to spend $ 3-​$ 5 a cup. They do not accept tips.

I can’t believe I haven’t Unilocaled about this place yet. DavidsTea is everything. The staff members go above and beyond to make sure every customer has a pleasurable experience. DavidsTea is also responsible for my healthiest addiction ever: matcha.

I’m kind of hooked on David’s Tea. Kind of a bummer they’re so far away from my home base, however, I made it to Chicago a few times in the fall and managed to stock up and buy some Christmas gifts there so that rules.
The teas are wonderful and vary from traditional to kind of surprising (birthday cake). Some tea purists might find some of it off putting since they pack in some crazy ingredients (the aforementioned birthday cake has freeze-​dried ice cream bits and sprinkles) but it’s always interesting to try. I’ve purchased a few seasonal collections and (great variety for your money) and haven’t been disappointed by anything I’ve tried unless it has an ingredient I already didn’t like (I’m looking at you, licorice). The packaging is wonderful and their packs make great gifts.
I also love their tea accessories. I’m obsessed with their mugs – cute and functional since many of them have the built in strainer. They also have travel mugs, teapots, diffusers, and more. Drives me nuts because I want it all! (Seriously, have you seen the Valentine’s Day collection right now? That birdie mug is all I can think about).
Luckily they do have online shopping if I need a fix and I can’t make it to Chicago but coming into the shop is a real treat. It’s so bright and minimal, and the staff is really friendly. They also have a few teas to sample for free which is a bonus. Or you can get a tea brewed to go. Love this place. LOVE IT! Come to Michigan, please!
