Dan Chookaszian is committed to building lasting relationships with his clients as he provides them outstanding service and solutions for their lending needs.

He has a great team around him consisting of three key closing coordinators to make the loan process especially smooth for all of his clients.

Dan has been featured in various media publications such as Scotsman Guide, The Chicago SunTimes, Huffington Post, and the Wilmette Life as an expert in VA financing.

With a Master of Divinity from Moody Theological Seminary, Dan has over a 12 year history of working with veterans.

We recently used Dan and Perl to refinance the mortgage on our house.
We have worked with other brokers in the past who we did not always feel had our best interests at heart. Dan was the complete opposite. He was helpful from the start, talking us through all of our potential options and answering all of the questions that we had. When it came to choosing the terms of the loan he helped us to understand the pros and cons of our choices and worked to a solution that we are very happy with. On top of the good service, his office worked very quickly. The entire process from our first meeting to close was completed in about 3 weeks.
After going through the whole process, I couldn’t possibly recommend him more highly for anyone taking out a mortgage or looking to refinance.

Let me just start by saying that Dan was awesome! I could not have imagined a better mortgage broker or more smooth process. His team was extremely knowledgeable about the process of buying a home and any questions we had along the way. Dan even stopped by at our closing to make sure everything was running smoothly! I have never had that kind of customer service before in a mortgage broker.
Besides the mortgage process, Dan also sent me referrals for insurance, tax appeal, and other services I’d be needing with a new house.
I cannot recommend Dan and his team enough and the next time I am buying a house or refinancing my mortgage, he will definitely be the first person I call!

Having worked with different mortgage brokers and read mortgage books, I’ve found there are three types of mortgage brokers: (1) those who make an extra buck off you if you don’t know the right questions to ask, (2) those who act like they’re so much smarter than you, and (3) those who are honest and professional. Dan is one of the rare mortgage brokers in that third category. He is easy to talk to, responds quickly, genuinely cares about helping you and doesn’t try to charge you unnecessary fees. In fact, even other brokers at Perl aren’t like Dan, which goes to show that it’s the broker, not the firm, that ultimately makes the difference.

I could say so many wonderful things about Daniel and I will use this forum to do so. As a first time home buyer, my process was arduous and frustrating at times, to say the least. My wonderful realtor suggested Daniel so I could find an honest and reputable person who could help me finance my home and help me achieve a dream over a year in the making. When I met Daniel, he was warm, wonderful and laughed at my silly jokes. In that office, filling out enough paperwork equal to a small forest meadow, I knew things would be okay and that Daniel had my best interests at heart. He saw my fears and was able to allay them with an honest outlook and a kind word. Between Daniel and my realtor, though I found the home buying process at times difficult, it seemed once I got those two together on my team, I went from being jaded to joyful within a matter of a few months. And, as I sit here and type this from my home (thanks Daniel), I wish I could shout from Everest to the Everglades about the wisdom and character and humor displayed to me every single time I walked into his office or picked up a phone to speak to him. He’s a great guy and if you need someone to guide you through financing your first home or your third, Daniel is the person to do it. He’s a great guy and a great friend.

My wife and I wanted to take advantage of the low mortgage interest rate and refinance our first FHA home. Our Great Church Friend recommended Daniel to us, and AMEN, thank you lord for giving us Daniel. We are rookies when come to refinance especially since we only bought our home for about 3 years, Daniel was very professional and everything was laid out and explained to us for clear understanding (well, at least as much as an average guy like me can understand) Daniel makes the process easy going and the fact that he actively called us to provide updates during the entire refinance process reassure us that we are in good hands.
It gets better, originally, we were closing at the end of the month, but Danny called us and tell us we can of course close today, but by waiting just one more weekends, we can get more credit in to our Escrow accounts! OK, there is risk involve, a small one but well calculated one, and Daniel explained why we should take the risk, and am I glad we did since we successfully closing the following Monday with more money back in our pocket =) Who will even do that, thinking in terms of the borrowers benefits, Daniel DOES!
I am not a guy that like to write review, but my wife and I truly believe Daniel is as good of a mortgage broker as you can get, and that he deserved a good review and that we should spread his passion to help others.
If you are looking in refinancing or buying new houses, give Daniel a try, you won’t regret it, I have been recommending him and Perl to every friend of mine.
