Interviewed about 15 floor contractors before deciding on this one, based on other reviews. This company offered a 2 year warranty, which was a main selling point. The floors are in, and the craftsmanship is pretty good. Here are the reasons I would not recommend or use again: 1. Came to check the work and found the HVAC running in the completely empty property(had been going for over 4 hours w/no one inside). Four other contractors had been there prior and had not touched utilities, since the temperature inside was comfortable. When asked whether they had turned it on, they affirmed yes. I stated they may want to ask the owner’s permission in the future, since this was not their house and the property was vacant. The answer I received: «Don’t be so cheap.» 2. This is the only contractor who will require you to pay for your flooring materials up front. Be prepared to do so. Once you do, there’s no backing out. 3. Assured me the job would be done on time, even if «they had to work through the night.» Job not finished on time. Movers came and half of upstairs was not completed. They did NOT work through the night. 4. Does not stand by warranty. Called a few months later to let owner know that something needed to be fixed. Response was that I had to pay for his gas and materials if I wanted it to be fixed. 5. Will agree to original terms but not keep word. All details were provided very clearly and contract was signed. Afterwards, owner kept insisting certain things were not necessary and backed off from completing as asked/signed. When pushed, response was, «if you’re not happy, I’ll come back and fix it.»(see #4 above) If you don’t care about warranty or customer service, then you should be ok w/this choice. Otherwise, I’d definitely stay away.
