Description

Specialties

Creative Claythings has been teaching pottery classes since 1982 (both handbuilding and throwing on the potters wheel). You can learn to make great stuff from a lump of clay.

History

Established in 1983.

Creative Claythings began in 1982 in a small storefront studio on Lincoln ave. In 1985 the building at 3412 North Southport Ave in Lakeview was purchased where we remained for 22 years. In December of 2003, the CTA used the governmental power of «eminent domain» for the expansion of the brown line. Creative Claythings then moved to a bigger brighter facility at 2255 West Grand Ave, (Grand and Oakly), where we remain to this day. Love the new neighborhood !
