Consulate General of Romania

Really like being back in communist Romania. Despicable service. Unbelievably rude. Completely inefficient. A joke. Come here only if you must. Go to Los Angeles instead! They are human there.

To say they are incompetent would be a gross understatement.
The website is rudimentary as best.
You call one of the many numbers listed on the site and if you do not speak Romanian, they either hang up on you (classy!) OR they tell you to have the Romanian speaking person of your household call them back. Fun stuff, I tell ya!
When the Romanian speaking person does what they suggest, they tell you to send them an email to set up an appointment.
Oh and don’t forget, they don’t respond to said email, no no no… You must send an email again and again as though this is business as usual in Romania or something?
I WISH I was kidding or that this review was a joke, but it’s not and I’m not happy about the route to which you have to make an appointment to get something done here.
And of course then you only have a 50 – 50 chance of them actually doing it correctly.
Avoid this place like a the plague if you can.
