History
Established in 1991.
Providing training since 1991, the Computer Resource Center is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the near South Side of Chicago. We offer full-day computer classes in the most popular software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) as well as Adobe Creative Studio (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver). We also provide one-on-one instruction and specialized group classes upon request.
George Rumsey began offering computer training in 1983, when he worked at the University of Chicago. Forming his own company in 1991, he has provided training to many leading organizations throughout Illinois, including the University of Chicago, Northwestern Unviersity, Lyola University-Chicago, and numerous city, county, state, and federal agencies.

George R.
Business Owner
George has provided computer training and consulting throughout the Chicago area. He brings a background in print communication to the computer field: in past years, he worked as an editor at the University of Chicago, and as a desktop publishing/communications consultant to the U.S. Agency for International Development, the United Nations, and other international organizations.
Since starting the CRC in 1991, George has provided on-going, short-term classes geared toward making PC users highly proficient as quickly as possible, through hands-on instruction. His long-term clients include Northwestern University School of Law, the University of Chicago Library Systems, and Loyola University-Chicago, as well as many local small nonprofit groups, such as Options for Youth and Kaleidoscope for Kids.
