Tough place to review. Some of the service was incredible and some was terrible. Our table server was great. She went out of her way to be helpful and informative. Later at the bar, keeping in mind there were just a few people at the bar, the server acted like he was doing us a favor when we ordered beer. The they brew there was ok and the food is pretty tasty. The sound mixing in the show room was pretty bad. I’d say overall an average experience, but averaging extreme good and bad to get to that result.

My husband and I wanted to extend our thank you to the owner, manager, and workers of Cobra Lounge working 8÷15÷2015. On this day we had a wedding at a church and our reception was to be held down the street at Room 1520, which didn’t open until 5pm. We spoke to a manager a few weeks before our big day and he was willing to open Cobra Lounge early just so our guests had a place to hang out beforehand. How awesome was that?! Thank you, Cobra Lounge! :)

This is like an oasis in a sea of hipster kiddie bars. Great live music is always playing, and the on-prem brewery is great. The staff are always awesome.

This place is amazing. Went last night for dinner for the first time, the food is so good. I’m a vegetarian, extremely veggie and vegan friendly here. My boyfriend loved his meat dish as well. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. The beers are are something to definitely check out even if you’re not hungry. I had the orange white ale, it was incredible.

Welcome to my first ever Unilocal review. I stopped in to order takeout and have a beer, to the following results: 1) A woman came into the bar with an unwrapped toy to donate for Christmas and they obviously made her feel awkward and unwelcome in their reception; 2) The first two beers that I tried to order off of their separate«draft list» were unavailable; 3) My order of a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, tots and a side salad was missing the tots when I unpacked it at home. Enjoy the free money, CL. Also, the sandwich and salad were packaged together in the same tiny box, resulting in a gross pile of food. Imagine a paper picnic plate with dividers for each type of food, folded upon itself in a disgusting display of enthusiastic incompetence; 4) The«best Buffalo Chicken Sandwich» in the city was wildly disappointing. Further, the pickles that were meant for the sandwich had merged with the salad on the ride home. The owner/manager of this place needs to make like Q-Tip and get it together.

Loved this place! Although we were late for food, it looked delicious & smelled. Everyone was beautifully dressed in leather & there was live music. I’ll definitely be going back next time I’m in Chicago.

Horrible bartenders! Waited over 30 mins on a Sunday night for a beer. Bartenders had the worst attitude.

I came in before the Bulls game. There is construction in the street so find the entrance in the rear. I had a flight of four beers at 5 oz per for $ 10. The beers are standard crest brews, the ambiance was dark but interesting. The server was very friendly and efficient.

As a first timer, I must say, the service was great, the food was even better, and their in house brewed beer wasn’t a disappointment, it was great! Everyone is friendly, my buddy and I even got a free beer ! I highly recommend this place.

Cool place with good food and beer but the service is awful. Unfriendly and slow. Prepare to wait forever for service and unless they know you, don’t expect more than a couple words from the bartenders.

This place is great it has two bar areas of close to the Ashland stop and everyone who works there is really friendly! I never like IPAs and bitter beers but for some reason their own beer called Hopp Squad goes down smoothly and taste so good I had to get more! I will come here again for a drink! And they also have $ 3 tacos!

The food here is amazing! All Rise Brewing has a fantastic beer selection and one of the best citrus beers(three orange wit) I’ve ever had. It’s fresh tasting beer and even kept the freshness even after I took a growler of it home. You can’t go wrong with this place.

So, I’ve seen the construction of this All Rise Brewing from my green line commutes throughout the last year. I’d even come once before(approximately 2 months ago) to check it out. Beer = below mediocre. Food = mediocre. Anyways, onto my experience tonight. So, I took a friend here tonight. I rode my bike. I proceeded to lock my bike to a tree outside the bar because there were no bike racks. The bouncer told me that I wasn’t allowed to lock my bike to a tree. Weird, but fair enough. I moved my bike to a nearby fence. Upon closing out our tab, the bouncer approached my friend and I and said that my lock would be cut if u didn’t move my bike. Ridiculous. In an otherwise empty bar, you’d figure it’d be good business not to be cold towards paying customers. Cliff notes: if you want sub-par beer and to be treated poorly by «management», this is the place for you. P. S. The bartenders were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They’re who the 1 star rating is for.

Pretty cool ambience here, I came by after Pitchfork with my cousin and was starving. Our server was really nice and helpful and gave us enough time to look things over. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was pretty good. The serving size was big, and everything arrived quickly. Would stop by again if in the area.

Rating the location solely on their newly renovated, All Rise Brewing and pub area. Enjoyed the outdoor area, but could have had some music playing outside. The new beer bar and seating area is clean and representative of the industrial area that it’s situated in. Food was above average pub grub, including the very addicting corn and jalapeño fritters! Beers were mostly light, with one hoppy wheat ale being the winner. They did not have their more well-known and talked about IPA, so we will be returning to try that, and the burger!

I tried to eat here during Motoblot. — I waited 10 minutes just to get water. — I had to get up and ask for a menu — It was 20 minutes before the waitress even walked by and I had to ask her to stop after she looked at me and just kept waking. After I gave her my order I was informed it would be roughly 40 minutes before I got food. She stated she was sorry, but they were busy. No kidding?!? You’re part of Motoblot. Staff the restaurant accordingly. The water was average.

Cobra Lounge has it all. Great food, great beer, great service, and amazing shows. This is one of my favorite venues in the city. It’s a nice size room with an intimate setting. Everything I have eaten on the menu has been amazing– especially the burgers. I’ve enjoyed this spot for date nights with guy, a fun night out with friends, and for nights where I just wanna drink beer and listen to live music. Definitely a place to go over and over again.

So Cobra has expanded! Not their audience area, unfortunately, but their dining area and I actually had a chance to eat here. My turkey burger and sweet potato fries were pretty good, but they forgot one of the orders in our group and then dropped his bun on the way to bringing it to him, so we had to wait quite a while before he was served and that’s just awkward for everyone. I didn’t feel right eating in front of him while he just sat there. Service in general isn’t the best here. I asked what stouts or ales they had on tap and the bartender listed a couple of stouts and porters. I wasn’t a fan of the ones he mentioned so I asked about the ales. He snakily replied that he just told me about the stouts. Right, clearly I wasn’t impressed with their selection which is why I asked about what else they offered. They brew now too, but I didn’t try any of the house beers. The rest of the venue continues to be hot and packed and smelly, so I watched the band from the bar area this time around. And as it was one of my favorite bands, Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, how could I not have fun?!

First time at the cobra and was shocked at how great it was. Completely redid the place with their own brews. I did the orange wit and it was great! The food was all organic and grass fed beef. I could sub in sprouts or other healthy options but if you want they have wide range of fried sides. The sandwich I had was the jerk and it was great. Spicy turkey burger. Cleanliness was great throughout the place even the bathrooms Highly recommend this place! This new look and menu will not stay a secret for long
