City Tree Delivery

I have used both the delivery and pick up services for two years. The service is impeccable. The delivery guys are great! I had one of the same guys deliver both years. He and his partner put the tree up and cleaned everything up in less than 30 minutes. The guys that did the pick up did the same thing. The quality of the trees are awesome too! I normally don’t take delivery until mid December and my trees have looked great and lasted through the new year. I couldn’t be happier with the service and the quality. I will be purchasing again for Christmas 2016!!!

We’ve never had a better experience buying a tree, and it was our first time buying one over the phone. Excellent service, extremely friendly, and an amazing tree. We’ll be buying from City Tree well into the future.

Excellent service. Painless, affordable way to have a gorgeous tree magically appear in your living room. We got a six-​foot tree that stayed beautiful and fresh for the whole month. Now that it’s New Year’s Day, I’m not ready to let it go! They did a great job of keeping us updated on the delivery time and two smiling, friendly dudes brought the tree over exactly when we were expecting them. I had paid in advance for setup, but my husband decided he wanted to do it. Luckily, the owner was extremely responsive via email and refunded the fee right away. Will definitely be using this service again… Wonder if we can order now for next Dec

Great selection and great service! We were looking for an eight foot tree, and John brought three out to choose from. The trees were gorgeous, full and smelled amazing. After we chose one, John wrapped her back up, tied her to the top of the car, and off we went!
We also bought a wreath and took some branches home for décor (free). Yay. Christmas time!

Chose tree at lot, next day delivered and set up and watered by two polite hipsters, one sweeping up afterwards. Two weeks later, a different sweet, efficient pair returned to remove tree, again sweeping up. They provided 2 hour window each time and called or texted when near. A perfect service start to finish. Highly recommended.

This year was our first time using City Tree Delivery — actually, our first time getting a real Christmas tree. It was nice not having to haul the fake one out of storage. It was super simple — 2 guys came to my apartment with the tree and set it up with a stand (they also watered it and reminded me to keep the tree watered). And that was it! They’re also coming back to pick it up after the new year — it definitely makes my life a whole lot easier, and lets us focus on decorations and getting our dog to stop eating the ornaments.
Totally recommended!

This is our second year using City Tree Delivery and we couldn’t be happier. Their trees are nice and full and the staff is very accommodating when it comes to special requests. Their wreaths are wonderful also and their trees and wreaths actually smell like they are supposed to, unlike other trees we have had in the past. They came and set it up and were out of here in about 10 minutes. From the first phone call to the delivery of the tree, they were fast and professional. I can’t say enough about this wonderful company!

Its so refreshing to have such wonderful customer service and a beautiful Xmas tree delivered and set up in the stand. So all I had to do is, put my lights and ornaments on and enjoy!!! They made it super simple and even cleaned up after themselves putting up the tree. The other great thing was, my tree was perfect! Everyone that saw it asked where I got such a beautiful tree!

After days of searching for a company that could not only delivery, but decorate a tree onsite, Chris (Owner of City Tree) worked with me, helped with ever detail, and solved my problem. He was able to surprise my girlfriend by setting up a tree in here office during non-​business hours. She was totally shocked! What a great service these guys offer. HIGHLY recommended !!!

The best! Beautiful, fresh trees and great service. We opted to select our tree on the lot in Bucktown and scheduled delivery for the next day. Bonus: you can arrange to have City Tree remove and recycle your tree after Christmas!

I will never go to another Christmas tree lot, at least as long as I live in Chicago. Frankly, I just didn’t have time or energy to go shopping for a tree, and I didn’t want to mess with putting it on top of the car, schlepping it into the building, etc. — never mind having a schlep it out again dripping needles every step of the way. I paid for a 7 foot tree, and got one at least 8 feet tall, delivered and set up by two cute boys. What could be better? And when I was ready, they came and took it away, sweeping up the needles as they went. Yes, I have to run the vacuum cleaner for 5 minutes to get the last of the needles off the rug, but over all it worked great. I was hesitant about ordering a tree sight unseen, but could not have been more pleased; great shape, height everything. Nope it’s not cheap, but if you can afford it, it’s worthwhile!

Just got my Christmas tree from City Tree Delivery. Great experience from start to finish. Chris was very helpful and communicative. Kept me informed re: delivery time etc. When the guys delivered my tree, it was beautiful!!! I ordered a 8 – 9 ft. tree online and got a beautiful, full, 9 ft. tree. The guys who delivered were great – put the tree in my stand, watered it and swept my floor!!! I was a little nervous about letting them chose a tree for me. The guys told me next time if I wanted, I could pick out the tree at their lot at Big Star. Not necessary as I can’t imagine a better tree than the one it got. They also told me they would remove the tree after the holidays. What a great company!!!

Very cool and helpful. I dealt with Mike. Great select of good sized trees, even late in the season. I thought the prices were rock-​bottom, even with delivery — I was actually shocked.

What’s better than a Christmas tree? A potted Christmas tree! Not just tiny rosemary trees, but alive Christmas trees in pots that are four feet tall! Its perfect for my apartment. Great customer service and delivery.

What a great idea! People who deliver Christmas trees… love it. Two guys came over and delivered a tree with some lights and it’s a beautiful tree! The tree smells so great. The guy was telling me that they get their trees in Michigan and then keep them in a warehouse here. My roommate had originally ordered colored lights but decided he really wanted the white ones and the guys were great they went out to their car and got the white ones! Very accommodating and professional. They cleaned up the entire time they were doing it.
This is one of those awesome business ideas I really wish that I would have thought of first.

I bought a tree last year from City Tree and my girlfriend loved it. We are a busy couple and kept putting off getting a tree because we couldn’t pick it out together. A friend referred me to city tree and I took a chance on it. A guy came to my condo the next day, delivered the tree, set it up and left an easy clean up bag underneath my tree skirt.

Yes, I know it’s now the new year and many are focused on getting the holiday tree DOWN but – word – you should bookmark this company for 2010’s holiday season.
This is the first holiday in a long time that I felt motivated to put up a holiday tree. Usually, by the time it takes me to agonize over plastic trees that may leak toxins in a landfill someday versus buying a real one from a big box retailer that isn’t a good community partner, the holiday is generally long over before I’ve made a decision. (Plus, as you might imagine, this overwrought thought process usually strips the fun right out of it.)
This year, I’d read about City Tree Delivery on Apartment Therapy and decided to peruse their web site. ~gulp~ These were not Home Depot prices… but…maybe they shouldn’t be. After the sticker shock wore off, I considered the benefits of not only buying a tree from a place «dedicated to sustainability» but also having someone else to do the schlepping for me.
But would they deliver to the South Side? The delivery desert? Their web site indicated that I was out of their normal boundaries. I sent an e-​mail expecting to have to wait a while for a response. I received an e-​mail immediately from their VP, Jeffrey. Yes, they would delivery to my hood! And they could do it immediately! Sold!
Chris, the CEO and Founder, made the delivery himself. While bringing the tree in and setting it up in the stand, he happened to take a pretty big slice out of his hand. Yikes! While we bandaged him up, there was an opportunity to chat about his company philosophy and history. A pretty impressive story (which you can read more about on their web site, which explains it better than I might be able to here).
They will even offer to pick up your tree post-​holiday and turn it into mulch for you. How’s that for eco-​friendly and ultra easy tree disposal? (Yes, there’s a price tag involved, though.)
