I contacted City Ranch Real Estate when I first moved to Chicago. I had heard about the crazy Chicago rental market and was extremely nervous, but then I met Daryl. Daryl was extremely patient and not pushy. He knew the neighborhoods well and gave me good advice. I would highly, highly recommend this company.

David has been impressively patient and responsive… I probably would’ve fired me by now.
He’s been working with me for around 2 years now while I waffle worse than Brett Favre over buying vs. renting.
I’ve backed out twice at the last minute and he’s never pressured me just to get a deal done. He also manages to respond within minutes any time I contact him about some listing I’m interested in. To be fair, I do this mostly during normal business hours.

Had the pleasure to work with Daryl Nelson. Very nice and accommodating to a person’s schedule. He wasn’t shady like a lot of the other people trying to rent apartments can be.

After struggling to find a 3-​bedroom apartment about a year ago (and using a couple less-​than-​professional rental agents), we stumbled upon a listing from David. Our first showing with David lasted about five minutes, because he quickly realized that the unit we were in wasn’t what we were looking for. David paid such close attention to what our needs/​wants in a place were (not easy when you have three guys with different opinions) and found us an incredible apartment.
I went back to David to help find my next place: a 1-​bed with my girlfriend. We actually ended up finding a unit listed by owner, but our experience with David prior to that was so positive that I’ll still recommend him to all of my friends.
David has such a deep knowledge of the Chicago real estate market and the properties he shows, he’s incredibly professional, and he takes the time/​effort to get to know his clientele to make sure they’re happy. I’ll definitely be going back to David next time I need an apartment, and he’ll be the first person I email if he’s still an agent when I’m eventually in the market buy.

David was a huge help in finding my new place. It wasn’t an easy task being in CA while trying to find a rental in Chicago. I especially loved having access to the mls so I could continue looking even while 2K miles away. David was on time, made all of the appointments and chauffered me around the city as quickly as possible in a very short amount of time. I ended up renting a place sight unseen after receiving video David took of the place. Thanks, David!

David Nadler truly delivers on his promises and puts you, the customer, first. Very responsive and motivated to ensure a smooth transaction. He fits appointments in for you ASAP in a fast moving rental market. He great customer service skills!

David was to the point and efficient. I wish more folks were like him frankly. We told him what we wanted in an apartment and we picked and chose what we wanted to see. Previously, we had provided very specific criteria to someone about where we wanted to live and we still got taken to beautiful apartment in Cabrini Green. Don’t tell me it’s on the edge of Old Town while we are in a housing crisis!
If you are looking for someone that is not going to waste your time and work hard to get you a fair rate, then call David. I know I will if I need a new apartment again (please God no! I’m hoping the 3^rd place in 2 years in the charm).

Relocating across the country is a high stress situation, but trying to do it in two weeks is near impossible. Being a single female unfamiliar with Chicago, David Nadler (owner of City Ranch Real Estate) was the link that made it possible. After being burned by using another Realtor, paying for application fees and ending up not getting the condo we were ready to give up on using anyone. Having moved around the country several times, I can count on one finger the number of real estate agents or relocation agents that have been helpful. That one person is David Nadler. David pays incredible attention to detail, and knows the market in a way that many «seasoned» real estate professionals don’t. We recommend David and City Ranch highly, especially if you need peace of mind in what can sometimes be the harrowing process of finding a place to live in a big city. David asks the right questions and delivers a very professional and very personalized service. He was able to show us the right apartment in the ideal neighborhood in the first two hours we spent with him. We believe our awesome experience can be chalked up to David’s knowledge and understanding of the market and his ability to align that knowledge with what we were looking for. For all of this help, you could not ask for a more honest, credible and thorough person to work with.

David Nadler and City Ranch Real Estate were very helpful to us in finding our new place in Chicago. He was very patient with us, explained the Chicago market, and showed us some truly excellent places. When our initial deal fell through, David went the extra mile to show us other locations with similar qualities. It all resulted in a new home we’re enjoying just blocks from the Lincoln Park Zoo. Mr. Nadler has been very helpful to us throughout the rental process. He is very responsive, caring, respectful and on the task. He always goes far above and beyond what any other rental agent/​landlord has ever done for us. When and if any issues with a rental unit develop, he not only communicates with you throughout the process, but also prefers to hire the «right» people to make the repair in a timely fashion. The only thing that can possibly get in his way (or can slow him down) is perhaps a building’s condominium board /​rules /​decisions. I highly recommend that you consider using his services.

I ran across David while on a fierce search for an apartment. By the time I’d gotten to David, I’d already worked with three agents and seen close to or over 20 apartments. (I had very specific desires for my new home.) So in a state of overall exhaustion and a bit of overwhelm with the whole process, David just took over with the same (or even more) fierceness I had. You would think he was looking for his own place.
The first place he showed me was the best place I’d seen in my search AND within my budget.
David is the best combination of Chi-​Town meets the Big Apple. Having spent several years in New York, David has that honest mid-​west work ethic as well as an elegant version of New Yorker no-​nonsense «get-​on-​it» and «get-​it-​done.»
He really stands in your shoes and is motivated by a win-​win situation as opposed to the lazy money/​commission hungry agents out there.
I will refer David’s company to anyone who has any real estate needs.
