Circle Studio is your one-​stop-​shop for all of your stained glass window need, offering everything from stained glass design and installation to residential and commercial window replacement. Established in 1975, we are proud to say we are one of the largest stained glass window studios in the Chicago metro area.

In addition we are the only company offering thermal panes on both old and new stained glass windows for modern energy efficiency. We work with beveled glass, lamps, and door inserts. Our specialty is designing and repairing stained glass windows for residential properties as well as churches.

History

Established in 1975.

Circle Studio, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois was established in 1975 and is one of the largest stained glass studios in the Chicagoland area.

Since its establishment, Circle Studio has been providing Chicago with distinguishing originality and techniques in glass creation.

Our artists are from Chicago and have studied in Chicago; this gives us an inside understanding of Chicago architecture and the ability to provide you with the highest quality stained glass products which look great.

My wife and I dropped off a very old ceiling lamp which was hung in the kitchen of a relatives for over 75 years. The house was being completely gutted so we decided to save this piece. It was old and we weren’t sure it could be restored. We found this place on Elston so we decided to give it a try. We dropped it off and the employee, pleasant and well spoken, told us he would contact us. We revived a call within a few days and we’re pleased to learn the work was coming along nicely. We decided on what type of lamp we wanted and the gentleman was understanding and assisted us along the way. After a short period of time we went and picked it up. It looked absolutely amazing to say the least. The lamp looked brand new and did not resemble a 75 year old item. No rust, dirt or mismatching pieces. Everything looks perfect! I’ve included some pictures in my review. I’m very satisfied with the work done. Our lamp looks great! Awsome job!!!

My husband and I went in to have our stained glass repaired. When we walked in the store, both employees were on their phones. Neither one acknowledged us and didn’t even make eye contact with us. We could tell that the one employee was on a personal call and eating her lunch. We looked around the store for several minutes and still no one attempted to make contact with us. In fact both employee turned their backs on us and walked to the back of the store and continued to talk on their cells. At that point we left. I guess they don’t want new business.

I definitely don’t agree with the 2009 one star rating. this place deserves 5 stars! We met with Joseph at the studio when we walked in and discussed the project, then on-​site — he is truly a designer and helped us create some exquisite custom Prairie-​style stained and other glass pieces. We had some stained glass accent windows installed at a reasonable price, to custom leaded glass prairie-​style french doors into the master bath, stained to match the closet wood doors, and two very inexpensive custom-​sized beveled glass toppers for some nice wood nightstands.

We had a broken stained glass pane in our church and Joseph replaced the pane with the EXACT type of glass in less than an hour! He was knowledgable, friendly, and a pleasure to do business with. He is now our primary go-​to guy for stained glass design and repair.

Started out great… they designed a nice leaded glass piece to replace an exterior door panel. It was installed… but came loose in a week. Called to have it repaired. When they came out to fix it it was full of condensation. They proceeded to wipe off the interior panels with a paper towel that once installed showed prominently on the glass as soon as the sun shone on it. The condensation came back in two days. Called a total of four more times and they never returned or corrected the problem. It has continued to deteriorate and will need replacing in the next few years… the original lasted for over 100 years and most likely would still be in tact had it not been broken.
