Choice Taxi Association

They are awful. Last night I called and reserved a cab for the morning, which they said wasn’t a problem. When I called back to confirm they said they didn’t have any cabs available to pick me up. Then why did you take my reservation??? They then proceeded to call me three more times over the next half hour from different numbers to tell me that they don’t have any cabs available. Yeah I know because I called you– don’t try to pretend you’re helping me by giving me a heads up. If I didn’t call they wouldn’t have let me know and left me out to dry. They are scam artists

Driver was reading while he drove, then he wouldn’t let me crack the window and kicked us out when we said it was too hot. I took a picture of his papers (Choice Taxi # 1972) and he said I can call all I want, they won’t care. Choice Taxis are white with blue signage and awful drivers.

DO NOT TAKE CHOICE TAXI, ESPECIALLY CAB #4412! On 08÷09÷12 the taxi driver asked me «what is the word for the worst crime in the world?», thinking he didn’t know English well and was trying to learn I said «murder». He said «no, not murder, not kill». I didn’t get it. Then he said worst than «DISMEMBERMENT!» Ok, obviously he knows English if he said dismemberment and doesn’t really have an accent. This guy has some dark thoughts that make me think he is not mentally well (which I sympathize with and he needs to get help). I asked him to pull over and I got out. I tried to report to 311 to alleviate my conscience from someone potentially being harmed, they said they will mail me a form to fill out then look into it — this could take a while and something could happen by then. I called the cab company, they won’t let me talk to the manager or make a complaint. Very scary, I don’t want to stir up a mess but if this is a red flag the guy needs medical assistance mentally I hope he gets it asap to ensure nothing bad happens to him or someone else!

Choice Taxi Association is not one that I would ever recommend. I took a cab from the Ambassador Hotel at 4 p.m. to iIT. Caught up in a phone call I didn’t notice that the driver got on the Dan Ryan at 4 p.m. What should cost $ 12 – 14 ended up costing me $ 20.00. The driver obviously decided due to my pickup location that I was a tourist. Very crooked company. Don’t get in their cab. Spoke with their front office and they also offered no remedy or attempt to help me. A total sleaze operation!
