Food at chicago sub and grill is good. Making an order over the phone and just picking it up, makes it so much easier. I don’t have to come into the store, order and wait for it to get ready. Doesn’t even take long if you have to wait anyway. Nice little neighborhood food place. I had the double cheeseburger. Tastes great. Absolutely reasonable prices keep me coming back.

I like this place for my lunch … Try the gyro’s cheese burger. Owner is usually there around lunch time and tries to give us more than we paid for. Nice place Nice people but could improve on some customer skills: D

Worst hot dog I’ve ever eaten. Worst hot dog I’ve ever seen. They deep-fried it to cook it. It literally looked like a Slim Jim was placed on a bun. Tasted just horrible. My first bite was all the grease they just fried it in. I feel sorta bad for this place, but their food is really bad. Also — that horrendous yellow awning. WHY does it have to be bright yellow like that? And those flashing lights in the window are just plain tacky.

Initially, i was afraid of a hot dog and wings place that close to my apartment, but I needn’t have worried one bit — nobody needs a hot dog that badly. Purple hot dogs? Probably left over from your $ 2.99 student special 9 hours ago? With ketchup and not a grain of celery salt to be found? Really? This is a hot dog, not an orange blossom soufflé, guys, no extra schooling required. Schlep or take the 50 down to Budacki’s, you’ll be far happier.

I know they just opened, but holy cow! This was not a good experience ATALL! The fryer was broken, so no fries… things happen, so no big deal… Hamburger just came off the grill, yet somehow was barely warm — lowest grade burger you can imagine, and I think they put cole slaw on it instead of lettuce, but it could have been mayo, which I did not order on top of some shredded lettuce… bun was practically hard, etc. Chicken sandwich was described as being less meaty than the tomato, again, hard bun and not very good. Give it a try to keep them going and maybe they’ll get better. We certainly need something in this neighborhood, as this is the only option right now, but beware.
