We specialize in deep tissue Structural Therapy for injuries and postural defects due to repetitive motions, injuries and environmental issues. We also use traditional Chinese medicine and herbs extensively for the treatment of illnesses, as well as Cranial-​Sacral Therapy for balance and rejuvenation and release of traumas held in the body.

All work is holistic– non traditional medicine.

History

Established in 1985.

My wife Althea and I began this business together after we got married. She and I were already practicing the healing arts. She was trained in Chinese Medicine and a form of bodywork similar to Rolfing we called Structural Therapy. She was more familiar with herbs at that time also than me. She taught me Structural therapy in about 6 months and then I was fortunate to meet a cranial osteopath from the London School of Osteopathy. From him I began my cranial-​sacral therapy training in 1986. In 1990 I began Chinese medicine school and graduated in 1994. I have continued my trainings in all of these fields over the years and have enjoyed teaching my art to the many students we have had in our school over these past 20 years. I am a certified Gestalt Psychotherapist and enjoy working in the mind/​body interface; fixing injuries and conditions of the physical and emotional. Some of my abilities come naturally as the healing tradition in my family has been passed on through the generations

For the past 25 years Althea has maintained the business she and her husband began. Together have treated thousands of people for a variety of conditions with holistic medicine. From poor posture and every day pains to internal medical conditions treated with herbs and Chinese Medicine. Although John has passed away, many clients still return to Althea for treatment.
