Specialties

Unstoppable cardiorespiratory endurance. Freakish functional core strength. Dynamic balance. Explosive fast-twitch tissue, and grip strength. These are the program’s design targets. Ironically, most of the interest in this program has been generated by a side effect of it’s design: you can not hang on to body fat when you rip through over 1,000 calories before breakfast. In other words: The survivors who work out with me every morning have no choice but to become ripped. The program is a metabolic wrecking ball. We’re simply not giving the body any choice in the matter. That said, it’s quite difficult. Not for everybody, but if you’re done screwing around and you’re ready to go nuclear on a flabby physique, then meet me rough & ready at the rally point at 6AM. First workout is mandatorally free, you have to know what you’re getting in to before I take any of your money. Good luck. We have a great group this year, come and join us any time :)

History

Established in 2008.

Two 45lb kettlebells bike-locked together, and hidden in the snow on the beach. Winter of ’07−08. I would visit them to experiment with program design. I fell in love with kettlebells. The dynamic routines, specifically the plyometric throw possibilities to cultivate explosiveness and functional strength. As an amateur fighter, and a personal trainer, I was totally sold on the outdoor kettlebell workout.

It started as my workout. It is still my workout first and foremost. The chance to execute an elite personal trainer’s workout along WITH him is rare. I have opened the door and let others join me on the conditions that they remain positive, and do not whine. Our first year our dropout rate was 75%. But the survivors became athletes. What was interesting was the fact that my little survivor clan started to look like me. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised, they were doing my workout after all, and that’s how I got this way :)
