After moving from the city to the burbs, I found myself missing my regular facial and «derma flash plus». I was so excited to take advantage of a day off. I decided to come down and saw Rebecca, who was hands down amazing! What a sweetheart! It had been almost a year and she went step by step and explained everything she was doing and what to expect next! I was so pleasantly surprised by the care and concern for me. It wasn’t a sales pitch, it was honest and she suggested in the end what might work for my skin. I ended up buying a Vitamin C serum. I’m so happy I made a trip to the city. My skin is still glowing and I’m anxious to see how the regular use of Vitamin C turns out! I already made my next apt in 4 weeks! Thanks Rebecca for being so great and all you moms who miss the city, make a trip and come see them! It’s a perfect day out and shop while you’re at it! :)! Thanks guys!

Can I say ‘WOW’? WOW! I said it. I actually stumbled upon Cellular Intelligence as I was researching into cool sculpting and what it actually was. This was the first and only company I called and Laura was the first person I spoke to. She had me at «hello!» She was very friendly, easy to talk to, very informational and I couldn’t wait to get in for a consultation as the whole ideal of cool sculpting was very new to me and intriguing. I made it to my consultation, asked millions of questions and I was sold and did my first experience with cool sculpting on the same day. The salon is very clean, everyone is very friendly, welcoming, very accommodating and flexible. I loved the cool sculpting that I actually came back for more several times and I’ve seen great results from it. Not only did I go to Cellular Intelligence for cool sculpting, I also go there for facials, laser hair removal and most importantly, the Ideal Protein program.
First, let’s start with the facials. It’s a facial that I’ve never had before and I’ll continue to go there for my facials. I’m usually not a facial type person but CI, Carrie and Norma proved me to think differently. I did a facial right before my wedding and my skin was so perfect on my wedding day.
For the laser hair removal? Why haven’t I done this before? I’ve been waxing almost every 2 weeks of my life and once Laura told me about this service, I was hesitant but tried it. Again, I should have believed her from the beginning but Norma and Rebecca have been great at this service and I’m so glad that I’ve been able to cut out some time and money from waxing.
Now, the Ideal Protein program? This program got me and it is well worth it. I was ready to put all my effort into getting the body I wanted to and more importantly in the most healthiest way possible, especially before my wedding. I had 4 months to get rid of this weight. After researching and learning about Ideal Protein from CI Spa, Laura and Martha, I was sold again. How could I not trust them after the other experiences I’ve had with the salon? I had my consultation, was 100% ready to start this program, although skeptical, but after the first week, it was working. I had lost 35lbs in 3 months and I’m at my goal weight and am feeling 100% more confident. Not only that but my health is 100% better; I’ve been able to cut out all of the prescriptions that I was on too. If it weren’t for Laura and Martha coaching me all the way through, almost every day, at least every week, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I still see them. Go see them for a consultation if you’re looking to get healthy and loss weight.
No matter what, I will not stop coming to the salon. They have so many other services to offer, I’m sure I’ll test them out at one point in time. I highly recommend Cellular Intelligence. Thank you, Ladies!

I had some spider veins on my legs and age spots on my hands I went in for a consultation for. I met with a very kind esthetician who had me meet the nurse practitioner. After she asked me a series of questions and showed me «before» and «after» pictures of the pixel treatment on the face I decided to book a pixel and IPL for the next day. I was given a prescription for antibiotics, an antiviral and numbing cream to apply an hour prior to my appointment– Boy was I nervous! I have to say the treatment itself was uncomfortable– and you can smell burned skin but I look AMAZING. The veins on my face and around my nose are gone. The small lines around my lips are almost completely gone and my overall skin tone looks great. I no longer have that red angry face at the end of my work day. It took a full week before I could put on makeup but I already want to do it again. The IPL on my hands was kinda cool– the age spots get dark and kinda fall off like coffee grounds. The nurse practitioner, Britney was very kind, professional and seemed to really care. She called me the next day to check on me and I will be seeing her for follow up pictures next week. I’ll post some pictures at the 4 week mark.

My experience with Cellular Intelligence is outstanding. I was nervous and conservative about having any «work» done but the competence, professionalism, and ambiance of the spa immediately put me at ease. The minute I walked in I knew I was in the right place to work on improving my skin and getting a more youthful appearance. (my wrinkles and undereye circles were severely affecting my confidence).
The best part of my entire experience is the APN Brittony Croasdell-​She was truly AMAZING! She immediately put me at ease and asked me what I wanted. I explained I need a ‘natural’ look but want to start the anti-​aging process. She immediately gave me multiple options, explained her rationale, and set reasonable expectations. She also told me what I do NOT need, which was refreshing in comparison to my experiences at other medspas and dermatology offices. Brittony has truly made my skin look better, brighter, and her skill with botox is superior to other places I have been. I am ecstatic and wanting more service from her!
Lastly, I am a RN and highly critical but her competence, beauty, and honesty stole my heart while boosting my confidence.

Had a wonderful experience here for a consult for ultherapy and CoolSculpting. Beautiful, clean, bright, and the ladies took a ton of time with me to educate me on procedures. Also loved my injectibles treatmentment as well. No bruising and great results.

Brittony the nurse practitioner is marvelous! She is warm, friendly and knowledgable. She explains every step so there are no surprises. Her work is professional and technique is quick and painless. I’ve gone to her twice once for filler and once for Botox and I couldn’t be happier. Cellular Intelligence is welcoming and easy to get to. They offer a ton of services.

I feel the need to write a warning since they are having another sale on botox/​fillers.
I didn’t write a review right away because I wanted to forget about this experience!!! I wanted fillers in the tear ducts, which was suggested to me. I ended up with 2 lumps next to my nose. And the following day I was so swollen I couldn’t see!!! When I called crying they pretty much laughed and said it was normal, and take Benadryl!?? FAR from normal, as I have been using fillers/​botox in the past. I jumped on a good deal, and will now prefer to pay double then to risk how I may look walking out of this place!!! HORRIBLE!!! And you should never be so swollen that both eyes are shut, and if so, any good doctor will tell you to come back in so they can see you. NOT here! Just take some Benadryl! (Yeah right)

Went today for the first time for a facial, Beth told me step by step what would be next! It was like no other facial I’ve ever received I’ll never go anywhere else again, great staff, great location, great price

The first time I went for Botox the doctor was amazing and I was thrilled that follow up visits has a competitive pricing structure – $ 12 a unit. I remember this because I noted it was the same as my other spot on North Ave, and though the nurse in Lincoln Park was wonderful, cellular intelligence was closer. Now that I knew the price was the same why wouldn’t I switch? Well I did and guess what? Second appt, I came out of the room and the receptionist charged my card. Suddenly the price was $ 15 a unit. It was a shock to be paying almost $ 100 more… And to be honest the doctor was obviously not clear return visits would be more expensive than my initial visit.
I did like her, and her work, but I’m not into the bait and switch game these places seem to play.

I went here for a DermaFlash facial which is one of my favorites. I loved it! I thought she was very nice and did a fantastic job! I will be returning.

I started going to CI about a year ago to take my skin to the next level. I started with the Dermaflash facials and have since tried the photo facial and med scripts… Carrie has taken care of my skin since the first appointment and does an alternation of facials to produce the best results. She is always so wonderful to see as well as very educated in her career. I highly recommend Cellular Intelligence for your skin and my husband is a client as well and he looks great!

I am writing an updated review to reflect the professionalism that Cellular Intelligence provided as a result of the original experience I wrote about. After writing the review, I was not expecting a response or anything to change regarding their policy and both occurred. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least and can confidently say that their facial service itself now matches their customer service that was a problem previously. For company’s to survive and thrive, they need to know how to adjust their business model to accommodate customers, but still hold true to their company values. In this instance, I think Cellular Intelligence now has that balance based off of how they handled their customer feedback.

The first time I visited CI Med Spa, I had a dermaplane facial… A-​mazing! I’m your typical non-​observant guy, so regular facials are nice but I’m sorry… pore size isn’t how I measure a facial… visual results that I can see are. Dermaplane, OMG. my skin felt like a baby’s bottom and looked incredible. I think I Unilocaled about it, if not… it is excellent. I went back two weeks ago, and had Ulthera because my skin didn’t feel as firm as it used to and I do try to eat right, hydrate properly, and exercize. Again, I’m a guy, non-observant…anyway, Ulthera ROCKS! I would type in all caps but know how annoying that is… this is the best treatment I’ve ever heard of. In a little over 1 hour the skin on my face changed to where I could see it… and I walked out the door and went back to work… and people in my office noticed the difference! …and it only gets better over time! Toned, tightened, lifted is what the ad says… it does what it says. I’m hooked, addicted. call it what you want, each week that passes I can feel the tightening around my eyes, under my chin and on my jaw line… I can’t believe the difference for something that was non-​invasive, and I will definitely go back after time for another treatment. It is too good!

Like many who have written a review of CI I, too, purchased a Groupon for my first visit. I think its the BEST Groupon I’ve purchased do date ! I just had my first DermaFlash facial. As described by others, the facial does not hurt, takes about 45 minutes and your skin looks wonderfully clear and even when finished. Beth explained the facial steps before starting so I understood completely what to expect. My experience with Beth (and Maria at the front desk) was pleasant and very professional. I plan on purchasing a series of these facial and feel my skin can only look better and better.

A good friend gave me a gift certificate for the DermaFlash facial. I didn’t know what to expect, but was very happy with the results. I went to the spa, on Walton – it is on the 4^th floor, I’d call it discreet. It was very modern and clean and the receptionist was nice – a good sign. Beth did my facial and she was great. They used a blade to remove my dead skin cells (not painful) and the whole facial took about 45 minutes – she explained what she was doing as she was doing it, which was nice. After the facial, my face GLOWED! Random people that I work with told me that my skin looked great. Since my first experience, I’ve been back to Cellular Intelligence 2 more times (I bought the six session package and go once a month for this treatment). My skin looks really good – esp for me (I’m always the girl with the breakout!). Highly recommend.

I got the groupon $ 55 for $ 125 derma flash facial. For the location, it’s really a good deal. However, the person who did my facial wasn’t very enthusiastic. The product she put on my face at the end coagulated with the previous layer of product and stuck to my hair. She just tried to use her hand to remove those instead of apologizing and choosing a different product. Also of course they would try to sell a product at the end. I wasn’t sure how the effect of the facial would turn out so I just ask for samples and she said she couldn’t except for one. But after talking about more products that i turned she forgot to make the sample for me. She used a surgical blade for scape off dead skin and she somehow left a 2 cm would on my face that took a week to heal.
It’s fine for the price I paid. i already have breakouts a few days after the treatment and not sure if i see the effect: i’ve had better that is. But if i have to pay the original price? meh

Love Beth. She’s been doing my facials for the last 6 months. I have to say the Derma Flash Facial is worth every penny. I bought it as a groupon and went ahead and purchased the package. There is a noticable difference to my skin. People are frequently telling me how wonderful my skin looks. Thanks Beth!!!

I also had the Groupon for the dermaflash facial, and thought it was… fine. I wasn’t blown away by all these other reviews here… am I missing something??? I have had only a few facials in various spas, and they all seemed superior to this one. SO maybe that’s just me! But here’s my experience:
I walked in to the white, bright, clean «office» and the receptionist seemed a bit half-​hearted to be there. That’s ok, I’ve had my share of bad days, so whatever. She gave me some paperwork to fill out and I went to sit down. When I was finished I took it back asking her if she needed it and she looked at me and said uh no, that’s for your aesthetician. Ok, I didn’t know, don’t make me feel like a dummy, cupcake! I then had a consultation with Beth, who was lovely, and the treatment — which was fine, didn’t leave me too red, put on makeup right away, felt very glowy. However the process includes them basically «shaving» your face — cleaning off all the peach fuzz and baby hairs. So for a couple days yes, my skin was super soft, like your legs would be after you shave them. Did I notice a huge difference otherwise? Not really.
Back at reception Beth suggested a product and also a package special they were offering; I declined as I said I wanted to see how it was in a couple days. She generously offered to extend the offer to me through the weekend so I could make up my mind — and she wasn’t pushy at all, which I appreciated.
She left, and I got my things, wanting to put on some makeup somewhere. The receptionist was on the phone, not really aware that I was there. She finally hung up and after I asked my question pointed at a room I could use that was empty. Fine. When I was done putting on my makeup, I needed the restroom — and the receptionist was messing around behind the desk, again oblivious to my presence. I finally got her attention and she pointed me in the direction of where I needed to go (ha ha).
Now, maybe it’s not such a big deal to some people, but I appreciate a welcoming and helpful person up front — whether it’s a spa, a doctor’s office, or what have you. It makes SUCH a difference. This is the first and last person you see when arriving at/​leaving an establishment — first impressions are so important! So if you’re going to hire some young thing to «work» up front, at least train them in a few good manners. I felt a little bit ignored and this left a bad taste in my mouth.
Obviously a lot of people had good experiences, but this place is not for me (despite the lovely Beth). Gonna spend my money elsewhere for sure.

This Spa would have had more stars had it not been for my second visit. I was introduced to this place through chi-​town based Groupon and loved… I repeat… LOVED my 30 minute dermaflash facial. My complexion was instantly brightened and I was glowing like a light bulb for the next week or so. Fast forward six weeks later… Groupon re-​introduced me to the Derma flash PLUS facial. I went in expecting 60 minutes of bliss and left with only 45 minutes of «eh»… I couldn’t understand what happened, could it have been b/​c a different person serviced me? Not sure, however, I was very disappointed after my second visit and not sure if I’ll return. I don’t want to discourage anyone here, but you should definitely check it out for yourself. Make sure you see the girl in the first room though. (don’t remember her name)

I recently got my second Derma Flash Facial from Carrie and as promised, my face looks flawless! Not only does Carrie make the experience so relaxing, you literally walk out on to the streets of Chicago looking like you came straight out of a magazine. My skin is still glowing a day later and is super smooth in texture. I recommend this treatment to anyone!
I have my third treatment tonight, so I will let you know how it goes. Also, I really recommend the Retinol pads and Vitamin C face cream
