The ONLY reason this place gets three stars is because it’s a block from my house. It’ll do in a pinch, but it’s a bit pricier (at least on booze… it’s a little cheaper on some beer, actually) than the other liquor store two blocks from my house. Their selection, as with most liqua stoze in da ghetto, is sub-​lame.
Minus points for closing early-​ish and for the sometimes surly family that owns the place… the one son tried to rip me off once, and another time I came in to buy a bag of chips and he couldn’t (or wouldn’t) change a FIVE dollar bill. Huh? I’ll generally walk to the other shitty liquor store in my vicinity, just to NOT give this place business, usually, though they’re at least as pricey.
