History

Established in 2010.

Founded in 2010, Bucket O’Blood separated itself from other record and bookstores immediately by focusing on sections that were oftentimes overlooked or poorly stocked at other stores. During the summer of 2015, Bucket O’Blood expanded into a larger storefront in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood to keep up with growing inventory and customer needs.

I have a long love of genre fiction, reading science fiction, fantasy, and horror books since I was a kid. In high school, I spent most of my time and money buying and listening to punk rock and heavy metal records. I’m stoked to be in a position where I can now share my love of these things with my customers. Come by and chat!
