Trustworthy, fair, timely, friendly. What more could you want in a mechanic? I will not take my car anywhere else. Pilo and his crew are fantastic. They are smart and they get the job done in an extremely timely fashion. They have even just looked at my car after an accident and given me advice on how to handle the damage with the other person involved. I’d go so far as to say that I enjoy coming here. Pilo’s wife manages the front desk and knows me by name. My whole family uses this shop and we couldn’t be happier to have them in the neighborhood. Take your car here– they do not disappoint.

This place is exceptional! Had my first problem a few months ago on a SUNDAY! I couldn’t find anyone open on Sunday by me. stumbled upon this place and I will never go elsewhere. Not to mention his prices are very reasonable and doesn’t over charge for labor or parts! Fixed my problem and then informed me of what he saw that will later need changing. But never once pressured me to do it then. And being a female, it’s easy to take advantage of someone who doesn’t know much about cars or repairs. Not him. months later, I came back for my brakes and he told me if some were good he would leave them (front and back brakes and rotors), (some places would just say they all need changing) but he did not. He even showed me what mine looked like and what they are supposed to look like! He is very honest, and I trust him! Not to mention going out of my way to write a review, and downloading stuff just to write a review! He is worth the drive no matter where you are. I couldn’t say anything more positive about this guy. I am just happy I found such a trustworthy mechanic! Thank you!

Pilo and his crew are the best! I have been coming here for over a year now, great service, fair prices, nicest people: Eddie is a gem! Phoned on a Sunday morning for an oil and filter change with a tire rotation: they took me the moment I arrived and completed all in about 20 minutes: now that’s service for a Sunday morning.

Great people and service. I brought in a beater, shame on me, but I need for my wife and soon to be first born. Rudy, one of the engineers, told that this car is in terrible condition, which I know to be true, but he told me he’d work with me on the price and won’t charge me anything but what is absolutely required. He pointed out all the issues which I understand to a moot point. So, I know what he is saying truthful, but he was more concerned with helping me stay within a budget which is priceless. I found them because of these reviews and I am making this review because they deserve it.

I absolutely love this place! They are always friendly and willing to work with you! Honest and great prices, family owned… doesn’t get much better than this!

My daughter and I happened upon this place by recommendation of the tow truck driver. They take great care of us. We have a toyota and a honda. They’ve been extremely fair and have even offered to drive me to the el down the road. I highly recommend this place. They’re very good at explaining things. We’re happy with them and are repeat customers.

I’m moved to Chicago in August. Finding an honest and reliable mechanic is one of the most important things to me. I love my GMC Envoy and want to keep it going as long as I can.
I was recently feeling some warping on my driver’s rear tire. I took it to this place because it was close, but also because it’s a local family-​owned business.
Pilo (pronounce pee-​lo) is the owner and he took my vehicle without an appointment. He showed me what was wrong with my tire, then told me options to fix it. I went with a used tire with plenty of tread still left on. I had the tires rotated and aligned while I was there.
While waiting, his wife gave me the remote to the TV. The shop was clean and comfortable. No frills. No coffee or magazines, but that’s fine with me.
Pilo charged me $ 70 total. Credit cards accepted.
So I think I finally found my local, honest mechanic.
By the way, he advertises oil changes for $ 20, so I’ll be there when I need that next.

This is THE place to go, even if you live 7 miles away! Honesty and integrity in the car repair business, that’s as rare as it gets! He wants to help people, repair their cars and do it reasonably without gauging the customer. If the part can be repaired, he does it, if it has to be replaced he will show you why. This is the kind of small business you want to support. Somone recommended this place to me and I found that I had to tell others as well.
He knows the economy is tough and really just wants to repairs cars and help. I strongly recommend this place.

If you live near Bryn Mawr and Kedzie, then this is the place to take your car for repairs. Pilo, the owner, is an excellent mechanic and honest as well. We used to take our cars to him when he worked for a shop on Western, but now he has opened his own shop. Unlike places that just want your money, Pilo cares about his work and his customers and it shows in the way he runs his business.
He doesn’t just tell us to fix everything, but tells us how much life is left in our brake pads and tires, for instance. This helps us budget for maintenance unlike most shops where they just look for every possible way to charge your more money. They are also very polite and respectful, and my wife feels comfortable taking her car there by herself. The prices are better than every other place in the area we’ve checked.
We often show up without an appointment, and still get very fast service. A good, honest mechanic is hard to find — this is the place!
