A definite top roaster in Chicago. Unique roasts and blend that are sure to impress friends and family. I’ve bought their ground 1 lb coffee bags and everyone has loved them. I always enjoy coming here to study as well. There is extra space in the back for more study space. It is also nicely located near some really interesting and tasty restaurants. A perfect location.

I love this place so much! It’s a great environment to get work done. Welcoming, quiet, plenty of outlets, and free wifi. Everyone is always very friendly when I go there. It does get a little busy so if you want a table to work at on weekends, come before 10:30am!

Very nice atmosphere! I really enjoy all of the delicious pastries they have. The staff is very helpful, they have a location in the same mall as the Icon( ) I really enjoy that location because of its convenience and service! Both locations have very good tea and coffee, but I feel the pastries out shine their beverages! Overall very nice place

Great vibes, coffee, and food! This coffee shop is a great place to get some studying or work done, since there are little rooms here and there for more privacy and quiet as well as outlets all over the place! There is also outside seating on nicer days which is fantastic! I ordered the hot Vanilla Latte, cold Agave Latte, and the veggie sandwich. Both of the drinks were delicious and perfectly sweetened. The Vanilla Latte hit the spot during my afternoon slump with the creamy foam and smooth mixture between coffee and milk. The Agave Latte was also smooth and delicious! There are many different food options here which is perfect if you plan on staying there for a while. The veggie sandwich was fresh, toasted, and filling!

Good coffee, and great environment. Went to this coffee house Saturday morning and the staff provided great service. Chai latte was delicious! They only had three people in staff and it seems they were able to suffice the customer demand.

Admittedly, I’m not a big fan of coffee shops. I don’t drink coffee and don’t care much for tea either. I find establishments like Starbucks corporate and impersonal. Therefore I tend to avoid coffee shops most of the time. The other day a friend had a craving for an expresso so we stopped in. It wasn’t too crowded so were able to find a seat quickly. My friend ordered the expresso he wanted and I opted for a hot chocolate. It was made with milk, which I’d recently eliminated from my diet, so I didn’t drink much of it. It was too sweet as well if I’m being honest. But whatever, i wasn’t complaining. My buddy was enjoying his expresso so I was happy. The vibe of the coffee shop was laid back and inviting. The patrons were a great mix of cultures and ethnicities. That was interesting to see considering Bridgeport’s racist history. There used to be a time that people of color couldn’t even walk through the area without being attacked or harassed. That day brown people of all shades made up half the clientele. That says a lot about how far the area has come. What a beautiful site to see. Anyway, I’d gladly return to the coffee shop just to read, have a soda or try a food item on the menu. The staff were all friendly and seemed to actually enjoy their jobs.

it’s been ages since I’ve been to bridegport coffee and I stopped by for a sandwich and coffee, and this place seems to have really gone downhill. the sandwich I ordered had literally less than ½ the amount of meat as a subway sandwich which is incredibly pathetic. the coffee was at least decent. spending $ 10 on a sandwich and small coffee I would expect the quality to be better, yet I find myself still hungry and annoyed I didn’t go elsewhere. Never again, there are so many other places in this area to have a good lunch why waste your time here.

There’s free street parking. I can always find seats. Although the further you go into the place, the quieter it gets. The hot chocolate is one of the best hot chocolates I have had.

If you genuinely love the taste of coffee, Bridgeport Coffee is where it’s at! I love the versatile feel of this café, as I’ve studied here and met with clients as well. I recently moved out of Illinois and would do anything for their all-day breakfast sandwiches! Appreciate them for me, please! Their pasties are always fresh daily and I love that they carry alternatives to milk as well.

Great coffeehouse in Bridgeport. Super coffee, really good sandwiches, and a nice vibe going on here. We sat in the far back underneath the world map. My friend says it feels like an old schoolhouse and I agree. It is a corner home converted into a coffee shop, and I love the creaky wooden floors and different rooms that are separate enough to have totally different vibes — even different music. We listened to opera while we sat in the back room. This is a great spot to grab lunch and stay for a while. They serve sandwiches, flatbreads, bagels, a soup of the day, and have a bakery case.

I absolutely love this place. It has a good casual atmosphere that is perfect for meeting up with a friend or to work on school work or work from home. The patrons are very diverse from hipsters to older folks to the business man. Their products are nice and fresh. I prefer coming to this place over overrated Starbucks any day. The costumer service is great and the employees are very friendly and professional. I support small coffee shops such as this and if you get a chance to go you totally should pop your head in for a pastry and some hot cider.

Quintessential Chicago coffee shop. Bridgeport roasts their own coffee, and do a darn good job of it. The baristas know their stuff, and the breakfast sandwich options are solid(and customizable). Bridgeport’s space is cozy and very much what you’d expect out of an independent coffee shop. They’ve also expanded over time to include other rooms/space in the same building. Totally worth a visit!

Quaint and comfy décor, spacious, good music, good coffee, delicious sandwiches and wraps. Great establishment for the neighborhood, many coffee shops could take notes on how to run a coffee shop. The prices are also low compared to other coffee shops.

It was a cool fall day in Chicago and they had a huge fan blowing inside — a floor one that was blasting at the guests. That was strange. The chai latte was good though it came warm, not hot, and I had to have them microwave it.

I want to like it here, I really do. I normally frequent Jackalope as its a bit closer to me and I’m able to bring my dog in to order. But after a year in Bridgeport I wanted to give them a shot. My boyfriend and I each ordered an iced Black eye. I got mine with some flavored syrup. I was given a larger size than I ordered, so I already knew the amount of syrup I asked for wouldn’t be enough to make this beverage taste good. But that wasn’t even the issue. The fact that it tasted Sooo burnt was. Like undrinkably burnt. I also frequent Starbucks so I’m used to a dark, bold taste. And this was just in a whole different category. I plan on giving them another chance, in hopes this was just a fluke.

Nice small café to go to in Bridgeport, I go to Jackalope more just cuz i live closer to there, and they have some more food options, but as far as coffee goes, both are high quality and i frequent each of them quite often

Drinking coffee and waiting for laundry in the best damned coffee house in the neighborhood(Bridgeport). Let me clarify. My laundry is not at the coffee house. That would be strange. My laundry is at a laundromat a block away. The coffee house is merely an excellent place to get coffee to ease the process of laundry since most of that process entails sitting and waiting. It is much like installing software, which is another process that benefits from coffee. Many processes benefit from coffee. Except EKGs. Do not drink coffee while having an EKG. It makes the cardiologist nervous. But I digress. If you have a process that benefits from coffee, I recommend this café. And if that process requires wifi, excellent pastries, or breakfast sandwiches, more the better. If that process requires quiet, there’s these secret sprawling hidden dining rooms off the main room. However, this is probably not a good place for cardiology exams.

This is such an adorable coffee shop with really good coffee & bakery! I couldn’t eat too much because there were no gluten-free options but did have 1 bite of the brownie and it was amazing! What was more fun and unique is to just sit down for a conversation or to read a book in their quaint Coffeeshop!

The coffee is great but the Internet connectivity is just awful. This was my go to place whenever I needed to get work done and I didn’t want to drive far. I haven’t been back here in a while and decided to comeback today just for old times and to catch up on some work. I keep making the same mistake of ordering a drink before checking that the Internet works. Now I’m out here with my coffee and unable to get any work done. I’ve informed the staff before about resetting the router and they either have no clue how to do it or don’t feel any sense of urgency with taking care of it. In the past I’ve given this place 5 stars due to the great coffee, ample seating, and proximity to home. But I have to give it to 2 stars because this place does not provide me with the experience I am looking for anymore. Update: the Internet is now working but I’ve just wasted an hour on my phone browsing the web and typing this Unilocal review. Advice: if you’re here just to get a cup of coffee then this is one of the best places to go. If you’re here to get work done, I’d suggest checking the Internet connection before ordering and wasting your time and money.

I’ve been coming to this place for a few years now. What can I say I don’t like to give out of 5 star rating unless it’s absolutely, positively deserve and this place definitely deserves it. Great coffee, great food, outstanding service, a ton of space to drink your coffee or tea, eat your breakfast or your lunch. Free wifi and always immaculately clean. iIt still has a very old school feel to it while still maintaining a hip modern atmosphere It’s located in a very old corner store front. Outstanding job Bridgeport Coffee Company I will be coming back sooner than later.

The 2 mile run to get here was most definitely worth it. Bridgeport Coffee has an antique and almost home-y like feel. They’re not going for the pretentious hipster vibe rather a cozy hipster one. They’re not aloof or intimidating. They simply serve up fine cups of hot coffee – freshly ground and roasted in-house. I am such a sucker for independent coffee shops that source & roast their own coffee. A great cup starts from the source and it doesn’t get better than the fresh stuff. Their Hardscrabble Blend is what they use for all of their espresso drinks. While I don’t have the most refined coffee palette to characterize flavors profiles and point out nuances of this-and-that, I know what good coffee tastes like and bad coffee tastes like. I brought home a few bags of beans which ran about $ 13/bag. They have superb seating. Ample indoor and outdoor tables. They also have a back room if you prefer more privacy. My favorite aspect about this place aside the coffee is their elevated indoor seating area and tons of natural light. They have a ‘2nd floor’ of sorts for their window seats. It. Is. Amazing. Major kudos to whoever decided this was a good idea – because it is. In additional to coffee & nice seating, they have a selection of usual foods to snack on: baked goods, sandwiches, bagels, etc. For breakfast, I went with a toasted multi-grain bagel with hummus. Not sure where they get their bagels from but it was good! Not a lame Sara Lee bagel from the grocery store that’s for sure. :D 5 stars for Bridgeport coffee.

This is a small coffee shop located on the corner of Morgan and 31st. The design and characteristics of this building are really unique, on the outside and the inside. I really like their antique-looking ceiling. I had tea at their place and it’s normal regular tea. There’s not much you can do to spice up tea. I think I enjoyed the atmosphere and that’s what attracts me to this place. It’s quiet, intimate, and one of a kind.

Bridgeport Coffee Company is a cozy coffee shop with a nice variety of food and drinks. I came with a friend on a dreary Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty busy. I ordered an agave soy latte and my friend had the coffee of the day. Overall my visit here was pleasant but I do have to deduct some points because they forgot my drink and I had to go up to the barista to ask after I was passed up by everyone. My latte was pretty good; it was a bit too sweet for my taste but had a nice layer of thick foam on top which I’m a sucker for. I also liked that I could still taste the coffee in the latte unlike some of Starbuck’s lattes which are overpowered with their 6 pumps of syrups(ok I’m exaggerating but you know what I mean). Bridgeport Coffee Co has a laid back atmosphere and friendly baristas. Check it out for a good cup of joe and then hit up Chinatown for some yummy food!

I like visiting local coffee shops and found myself in Bridgeport. Like my normal routine in trying a new establishment I’ve never been before, I ordered the chai latte. I was a little hungry, so I grabbed an apple turnover because it was the first thing I saw by the register. I’m fond of the chai latte. The kick of «chai» had a good, strong punch and didn’t taste diluted. However, the apple turnover was just ordinary. I know that the pastries weren’t made in the house. In addition, the selections were minimal. I understand that since it was approaching to late afternoon, and they were the leftovers. The front of coffee shop was quickly filled up by students, working professionals, and people who liked to chill and had a relaxing time chatting. Regulars were then moving to the back for more seating. There were outlets available, not plenty. I was able to find one to charge my phone by the window. Some Unilocalers mentioned the dysfunctional wifi access. The signal was present the entire time that I was using my I-pad. In other words, I didn’t experience any technical difficulties. The prices were pretty reasonable. The most expensive coffee is under $ 4 for a large size(16 oz.). They have sandwiches available, for $ 6 in average. Southside hipsters apparently enjoy hanging out in here. Take notes, Logan Square and Wicker Park: you folks charge WAY too much for stuff in general… please scale down on the costs.
