Specialties
When you take the time and expense to get a massage or therapeutic bodywork, it should be a great experience, with effective therapy for pain or stress, great service, and convenient. You want to be really glad you went. Sounds obvious, but a less-than expert therapist, an inconvenient location, or scheduling difficulties can all cancel out the benefit of the vital self-care time you need and deserve.
The simplest way to describe my approach is that I try to make every session the right combination of clinical bodywork and relaxation massage. Both are important because your body only heals when it is relaxed, but specific problems require focus and precision. I incorporate a lot of different techniques and customize them based on your feedback. Posture and movement counseling are foundations of my practice and most of my clients appreciate this help, but some days you just want to lie down on the table and be taken care of – not lectured about your posture!
History
Established in 2001.
I became a full-time massage therapist in 2001, and opened my own office in 2003. Since then I’ve completed over 10,000 sessions with hundreds of clients from all walks of life.
Meet the Business Owner
Brian C.
Business Owner
Lifelong Chicagoan and resident of Rogers Park, husband, and father of four. Former competitive distance runner, now I just run after my kids. After 15 years in the corporate world I knew I needed a change, and ended up going back to my roots. As a kid I suffered a serious neck injury and received a lot of massage as therapy, which helped me develop into a distance runner and triathlete. Along the way I discovered a talent for pre-race & post-race sports massage, and designing sports nutrition regimens. All of that came back to me when I was searching for a new career. While I specialize in sports and performance massage, I can also deliver a superb spa-type relaxation session as well. I attended the Chicago College of Healing Arts and am thankful for the in-depth training I received.
