Update: On December 9th(a month later) a store manager called me to try to offer a special incentive to me, for my unfortunate experience at their store. I thought that was nice of them. They still haven’t done anything, but I did receive a follow up call. and an apology. I guess that’s better than nothing huh. I didn’t post that review to stick it to the man… There are people out there like myself who work very hard to make ends meet for a living. I HAVE no other choice but to put my trust in a vendor to supply an honest service. I want to know the cell phone carrier I’m using is a reliable cell phone company that will meet my needs. Stealing from me doesn’t help build trust. It just pisses me off and I never want to use them again. I hope the management team is very sincere about making this bad customer experience right. In the meantime I’m looking for another carrier. I hear T-Mobile may have a similar plan now. I’m going to look into them today. So only time will tell… This entire experience has left an AWFUL taste in my mouth.

Hooray, a Boost Mobile nearby! It is free to switch from Sprint, and their plans are far more affordable on my laughable budget. Nearby free parking.(Five stars). I poke my head around the store as a customer service rep is having a long discussion in Spanish with a large family. This could take a while. I start flipping through a Boost brochure. «Telefonos Celulares Prepagados.» Shit, this one is in Spanish. Wait… they are all in Spanish.(Four stars). The family has completed their transaction-less transaction, and the customer service rep glaces to see if I am still busy attempting to deconstruct the Spanish language and takes a new customer ahead of me.(Three stars). Finally, I get the coveted attention of the rep, and explain how Sprint customer service had told me about the free switch. I asked him to walk me through their Android phones. He pulled out a Galaxy and said, «$ 300.» “But it’s $ 249 online, can you match that?” I asked. «No.» He then pulled out another phone, junky looking with low quality feel. «$ 50.» «What platform does it run on?» He told me the name of the phone.(Two stars). «No, what platform for Droid?» I asked, again. He looked at me, obviously confused. «Ice Cream Sandwich? Jelly Bean? Gingerbread? What’s the processor on this thing?» I asked, with the air of nerdy intellect(of which I have none). «…Oh,» he said after a brain-wheel-turning long pause. «uh, jelly bean?»(One star). Most cell phone reps can talk circles around me. You would think I wouldn’t be so irritated to be on the other side of it for once.

i really want to share it with everyone!!! and you make your choice if you want to deal with that type of service or not. i got a cover for my phone for 4 $ on ebay it came with screen protector, i stopped by at the boost on Lawrence and Western and asked Asian guy who works there to help me out with screen protector… Response i got was unexpected… he judged my phone cover saying that it’s very cheap and bad quality, said that i wear expensive eyeglasses and charged me 5 $ to stick screen protector… In my opinion it’s unacceptable. i had terrible experience. i was shocked by the behavior of that men…
