Best submarine sandwiches in Chicago. Freshest bread, quality meats, great tasting oil and vinegar on the Italians. Get a large Italian or American sub, it’s the mainstay, best way to go.

Wanted to order lunch for the office and found this place online. We fed 6 people for $ 50. I had the large Italian sub, and it was huge. Easily 2 meals. Staff who had chicken breast sub, Italian beef, and paninis were all happy. Tastes great and good size/value, especially when compared to chain sub shops

I have been going here for years. The food is good and the prices are right. The staff is sometimes not the friendliest but they are always professional. The family has visited Bob-O-Rinos at least 100 times over the years and our order has always been correct and our food great.

Good food and a good price. It is a nice little place that has quality simple food. Nothing too flashy or in your face but the perfect environment for a simple meal.

The cold cuts taste like cheap solylent green and my mouth is sore from working on that the rubbery bread. The bread is the most important thing! At least the place is clean. Next time, I’m heading over to Alpine Food Shop for a proper sub.

I absolutely loved this place until my last two visits. The subs are amazing but what’s with the females they have working here? I feel like I’m in the middle of orange is the new black. I went in a few weeks ago and the girl working at the fry warmer was chewing gum like a cow… right over the food. It was disgusting. Last week I ran in and ordered a turkey and ham sub. While waiting for my order I noticed there was a half eaten hot dog in the fry warmer… really? Right in there with all the frys. Then when I got home I wasnt given the turkey and ham I ordered but a ham and cheese drenched in some kind of dressing. These were the best subs in the area… very disappointing

I love this place, so happy it’s just a couple blocks from my house. Definitely my go-to place when I just want a sandwich… a GOOD sandwich. Service — the people behind the counter are always friendly and polite. Greet you when you get to the counter, answer questions, etc. Food always comes out quickly. Never had them screw up an order. Food — Great. I would pick this place over any of the chain sandwich shops any day. Ingredients are fresh, bread is good. An order of fries is big and they always come out piping hot! My favorite is the Italian. Lot’s meat, fresh veggies and I love the italian dressing they use. I’m going to keep coming back, I’m sure I’ll eat there at least once this weekend

Rosa J. may not be a typical«all-American» girl, but she certainly likes all-American food. Bob-O-Rinos is located on Central Ave.(accessible via CTA #85 bus) in Portage Park, near the Community First Medical Center. It has an ample parking, old-schooled comfy booths and cafeteria chairs, and simple yet delicious sandwiches and panini. For $ 20.86, Rosa J., Daddy J., and Mama J. were able to get two(2) small American subs, one(1) corned beef & Swiss panini, two(2) small Green River fountain pops, and one(1) order of coffee. You better believe that living in a blue-collar lifestyle rocks because that’s what we call«great lunch!» Did I mention that they serve RC cola? Daddy J. told me that drinking the RC cola was a luxury in the past back in Taiwan in the 60s and 70s. However, now it’s definitely nostalgic. It’s funny to see how everything has changed over time… There’s a restroom behind the kitchen through the employee entrance. I would say BOR is clean, low-key, and relaxing place to be for a quick meal. Lately I’ve been back and forth to the Portage Park area frequently to look at some properties I’ve been interested in, so I will keep Bob-O-Rinos in mind when«Mr. Hunger» rings my doorbell.

We just bought our dinner from here. We had never tried this place, but was on our way home from our friends house. The service was exceptional and the place was very clean. The sub and pain we ordered were great. Bigger than we expected and great price. We were given suggestions on their most popular panini. It was a great one too! The Italian sub my love ordered was big and tasty. He saved one half for his lunch tomorrow. Great crisp whole pickle cut in 4ths. Awesome sub shop. We are considering catering for an event which they do have. You can’t let your taste buds miss this. We got great customer service! !

I use to go here when I was in elementary school(almost 10 years ago) i have always ordered the same thing cheese fries… but let me say still to this day, the cheese fries… you get a small countaner that consists of like 10 fries and a little bit if cheese for $ 4.00 almost. I always enjoyed them but the price for the fries is a one star

I’ve been going to this place for 5 years and tonight was my last straw. When the sandwiches are made correctly, they are quite good. However, tonight, for the FIFTHDAMNTIME, the sandwich that I asked for with«no pickles» came loaded with pickles. It even says on the receipt«NOPICKLES» right under my sandwich order. My wife says she asked the woman who made the sandwich twice if there were pickles on the turkey and ham and she said«no». WTF? The killer part is that it’s been different employees doing this. One guy did it three times to me and now two different employees have done it once. The other times I brought the sandwich back to get it made correctly. Today I’ve driven over 70 miles for work and I don’t want to get back in the car. I just wanted to eat my damn sandwich. It’s not worth it. I’m done with Bob-o-rino’s. I never want to eat another crumb from this place. So very disappointing.

I go there from time to time. I’ve only had their turkey/provolone panini, LOVEIT! My friends have had their beef sandwiches, no complaints. The staff is cool, the place is clean. Not pricey either. Great lunchtime spot.

I’ve lived in the neighborhood practically all of my life and I just started going to Bob-O-Rinos about two months ago. Not sure why… just never thought of it. I’m glad it finally crossed my mind(mostly because I saw it on TV) because I’m tired of the Subway and Potbelly sandwiches already. I like old school original subs. I like the subs here. The fries are good too. My son likes the paninis. I only wish they were open a little later. Regardless, this is definitely a great option when you’re in the mood for a really good sandwich.

They open at 10am! So perfect when you’ve got morning errands and can stop for a sammie to go for later! I loved the sandwiches I tried here. Lunch was so good, I came back another time for a dinner sandwich! I tried the Italian Sub(small) which was probably a 9 inch sub and was so filling! Cotto salami, capicola, pepperoni, ham, provolone cheese and Italian dressing. The ingredients were fresh and it’s made to order. I would have liked more Italian dressing, but that’s just me. Dinner sammie was a Roast Beef on a Roll. Also a good portion size filled with lean Roast Beef, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It was tasty and all ingredients fresh as well. Next time I’d ask them to go easy on the mayo as I felt there was just too much of it, but otherwise a solid sam. Service was nice. The digs are totally dated cafeteria style but clean. Other than subs and deli sams the menu lists paninis, other hot sams and sides like fries/chips/cole slaw. I’d probably order an extra pickle the next time I stop in too. Yum.
