Making things is a rewarding and effective activity that engages both creative and analytical thinking and which fundamentally appeals to most kids. In making are two important and often underdeveloped values, the pride of one’s craft and the empowerment of creative agency. It is clear our children have the power to do amazing things when their imagination is connected to the right resources. At Bit Space, creators benefit from the combination of free exploration and guided learning in a cool space with great resources.

History

Established in 2014.

Founded by a professional designer/software engineer and professor of architecture, the Bit Space curriculum grows from knowledge and experience of cutting edge practice and the demands of higher education. The founding partners are also elementary school parents, enabling the Bit Space curriculum with sensitivity towards the demands of our children and the need for fun engaging activities. Our mission is to develop a network of professionals and advanced students in the field of design, engineering and technology which recognize their position as role models for the boys and girls who will shape our world in the future. Our programs strive to engage our youth with an enriching mix of guidance, resources, and freedom
