Best for Less Harry’s Handyman Service

We have used Harry for several jobs on our property, both big and small. He always shows up when he says he’ll show up, does the job better than I could, and finishes early. Reasonable considering he will come out for jobs that many contractors won’t bother with. Very professional.

Harry came out and was excellent! We had some drywall work done. His minimum is very reasonable. One time and on budget. Would recommend harry to anyone! Cheers!

Harry did about two days worth of work at my building and I am very happy with the results. I found him to be very professional, very reasonably priced, and his work exceeded my expectations, in terms of quality. He really went above and beyond, and I’m thrilled with the work.
I’ll be using him for all my future projects and I have already started referring him to clients of mine, so far with all positive feedback!

Zero real issues. Harry came out, he fixed our leaky toilet. He left, for some reason it was then leaking from a different spot and he came back 5 minutes later and resolved it. Cheap, quick and quality work. I’ll be calling him again for future projects.

Pricey compared to an hourly charge handyman. If you only have a few things that take an hour he is perfect you would save money. He gets the job done well. Bill may be different than estimate even for small projects. If you are not on a budget, want convenience and you want it done well hes the guy for you.

Called Harry. Chatted briefly as he said he’d call me back to discuss further. He never did. I called him again and said the same thing, that he’d call me back. What a waste of time … Would give zero if I could.

My husband and I live in New York, but rent out our condo in Chicago, so I wasn’t sure where to go when our tenants needed something replaced in a bit of an emergency. After calling a few different handyman company’s who gave very confusing estimates, I luckily found Harry. He offered a flat rate, was flexible with his schedule, and even went out to buy what we needed since we weren’t there to do it. I am keeping his number on speed dial!

Harry is my go-​to guy for repairs around the house. I have used him for everything from ceiling fan installation to plumbing projects. Always on time, always reasonable and never makes you feel like a dummy for asking questions. I highly recommend him!

Let me break this down: we called MANY contractors, handymen, «jacks of many trades,» and the like to do some fairly extensive work on our basement (unfinished) and a few odds and ends around our house and in the basement laundry. Apparently the economy is doing better than we all think, because no one seemed to want to call us back, reply, answer their phones, show up for appointments they made or actually come and DO THE DAMN WORK. Literally 6 – 7 «highly recommended» guys bailed, failed or snailed. Lame.
Except Harry. We love Harry. THE handyman!
Harry came in and bid on the basement job (not a pretty one!), not only coming in under the other guys (who were harder to deal with and less reliable), but also with some good recommendations on what might work best, how long it would take and walked through the plan.
1. He shows up on time or early.
2. He is honest.
3. He likes to be paid on time. Pay him. He accepts Chase Quickpay, easy!
4. He’s a really nice guy.
5. He likes coffee, and we bought him lunch when he was at our place. We liked him!
The good guy wins here… Harry is a stand up guy who does quality work. His business card states that he does:

We’re super happy with the work, the basement looks great (and is now storing all of our belongings until future notice) and he whipped our basement laundry into a non-​fire hazard zone complete with venting and conduits while also cleaning it up.

I just bought a new house and there was a lot of annoying little things that needed to be done — loose countertops needed attaching, an outlet to be added, a garage door opener to be installed, plus a few other even more mindless jobs. Harry was friendly, helpful, professional and — above all — did excellent work for a reasonable price. He charges by the job, not the hour, so if you’ve got a number of things for him to do, it adds up to a better overall price in the end.
And here’s the best recommendation I can offer — I have some new things that need to be done around the house… and I’m gonna be calling Harry.

Harry spent many hours at my condo today, hanging shelves, installing dimmers, replacing an intercom panel, anchoring wobbly tall shelves to walls (so my niece can’t pull them down onto herself), fixing some bad cabinetry installation, and various other stuff I can’t (or wouldn’t) do.
Not only is he highly skilled, very professional, and thorough, but he’s also just a downright nice guy. He took a little extra time to teach me a few things as he worked, which I consider a bonus.
My husband and I are thrilled with the work he did and we would recommend him to anyone who needs a handyman. Harry rocks!
