Belmont Tower Apartments

This building is 75% subsidized by Section 8 housing. I don’t think I need to say much more, but I wanted to put it out there for people looking into it. They don’t advertise this, but if you call the rental office and ask, they will verify this fact.
I checked this place out and it seemed too good to be true. I saw a large, very nicely updated 2 bedroom apartment with an awesome view for only $ 1600, which is really cheap for a high rise in east Lakeview. Once I did more research online, I found some mention of the subsidized housing and called their rental office to verify. The girl I spoke to confirmed the fact.
Other than the apartment I saw which was really nice, I will say the front lobby is scary. Dark, empty, nothing on the walls, depressing. And the laundry room isn’t so great either. There aren’t any storage lockers for tenants.
