Beauty Nails

This place is okay. If you are in a pinch, then try it. The guy who works here is really nice and sweet. But the no-​chip doesn’t last long. It only lasted for a week and it wasn’t even close to cuticle. He kind of started in the middle of my nail so it looked so weird and fake. He took his time and made it clean but it just wasn’t good enough. The place looked messy and old. They had a good selection of colors but I think it need a remodeling. Plus, I don’t know why there was only one person in the store. Even though he said they get busy, it waa weird that no one was there. Oh well.

I came back from a mani/​pedi service. My toe nail polish was smudged and when I removed the color I realized they ruined my toe nail. Never going back!!!

If you are looking for a nail salon you need to come here!!! The owner of this nail salon and his team are PHENOMENAL! I left with the biggest smile. These nail techs genuinely care about your nails and your satisfaction. As a business manager I constantly am seeing things that can or should be done differently, customer service, cleanliness, Etc. This salon deserves every 5 stars and a +1

My friends, sisters, mother and I all came here prior to my 5÷1÷15 wedding. Beauty Nails of course did not disappoint: they were adequately staffed and appreciated our additional festivities. It was so much more enjoyable than being in a «serene» spa environment where you feel hushed all the time. My gel manicure lasted well after our 2 week honeymoon as did my pedicure. Do yourself (and your nails!) a favor and go here.

I had been needing (I mean, reallllly needing) a pedi for a few weeks, and I finally had time to treat myself before my friends got into town. I just moved, and even though I’m not far from my go-​to spot, I thought I’d try something new that was closer to new home. I found Beauty Nails through the grace of Unilocal,and here I am.
I made an appointment before I showed up. Thank God I did, because almost every person that walked through the doors had to come back at a later time for their appointment.
They were so kind and courteous while working on my hands and feet — they couldn’t have been nicer. However, I was disappointed in my pedi. Like I said, I’d been dying to get one for quite some time, and I was really looking forward to getting it done. But at the end of mine here, I felt like I still need calluses scraped a little more… and I really could have used a bit more of a massage on my feet/​legs than just the standard lotion rub-​in.
This probably is a little gross, but i was also really hoping that they would do a good job cleaning around my toe nails. Unfortunately, I can’t say I feel like it was as thorough as I was hoping.
I’ll likely return, but perhaps communicating my preference will help raise the star level for my review here.

Not all affordable nail salons are created equal. This is one of the good ones. A rare gem where the quality is great, the workers friendly and the manicure divine. Highly recommend!

Great little place… walked right in and got great service. Cheapest pedicure I have seen in the city thus far!

Excellent pedicure! My feet were in terrible shape from sand volleyball and wearing flip flops this summer. The guy spent extra time sanding down my feet and then did an awesome flower design on my toes. Also rubbed my heels with Vaseline at the end to help protect my skin after all the pumice scrubbing.

I was able to get an appointment within an hour of my phone call on a Saturday afternoon. Thuy took me on-​time and gave me a fabulous pedicure. She was able to match my toenail polish color to a no-​chip color effortlessly and gave me the best gel manicure ever. She was so thorough and checked nail by nail to make sure it was perfect. The end results were the best-​looking hands and feet around.
With being so thorough, she did take her time, which I didn’t mind. My pedicure and no-​chip manicure took about an hour and 45 minutes total.

My daughter and I walked in without appointments and were seated right away for two lovely spa pedicures in massage chairs. Enjoyed visiting with the proprietor, Tom, who came to Chicago at age 21, when Saigon fell, and built his business from the ground up. He has lived and worked in this neighborhood for over 40 years, and is one of the nicest, happiest people you will ever meet!

$ 35 for a good Mani/​Pedi. However, the best part of Beauty Nails are the owners– Tom and Thuy. They are so kind, always engage in conversation, and really seem to care about all of their customers!

Super friendly owners. Have owned the salon for 11 years and just really enjoy making customers happy. Very fair prices and the quality of my manicure is on point. I would recommend this to others purely because of how well my nails were done and how nice the owner was.

My wife came and got a manicure and pedicure, she says the staff is friendly and they pay special attention to detail. Manicure lasted more longer and was $ 5 cheaper than most places she goes to. Would recommend

Love this place. I live right next door so it’s super convenient. I always get a quality mani/​pedi and they’re very friendly. I would suggest calling and making an appointment but sometimes you can get lucky if you just stop by. They will always do their best to fit you in if possible. The only less than awesome thing and really the only reason why I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that they don’t have a quick dry light so I have to plan some extra down time when go there. But all in all, an amazing neighborhood place, and even if you’re not from the neighborhood, it’s super close to the Belmont El stop. Check it out!

I love this place, never a wait never a bad job, he always treated me with the most respects, being a man its surprising difficult to find a decent none judgmental place to get my nails done and done professionally. Worth every penny spending at this saloon. Thank you so much you guys, and y’all have a life time customer.

I can’t think of a complaint for this place. Not only did they fit me in last minute (much appreciated, Tom), they did a fabulous job. Tom took a ton of care with my feet and hands and I’m completely happy with how they turned out! Reasonable prices, great hours and very friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been treating myself to pedicures recently but haven’t found a place i liked until Beauty Nails. They are so friendly and professional and give amazing pedicures! Great, long massages and perfect polish. I’m definitely coming back!

While I thank you for combing through the Unilocal reviews of your business as it initially gave the impression that you might actually care. However, the comment you made in response to my original review negates everything I thought when I saw you, the owner responded. Furthermore, the comment is along the lines of the impertinence I received within your establishment which made me write my comment.
Mr. Tom, please, don’t insult me again. I know exactly when I came by Beauty nails. I don’t know if you are close on Tuesday or not. However, I know I did not come to your place of business on a Tuesday. No need to Check my information, Check your customer service. I also know that I entered «Beauty Nails» and that my review is of the correct establishment. The issue here should not have been you checking cameras and simply talking to your staff. You should have been trying to approach me (the customer) in a way that would make me feel comfortable enough to walk back into your doors. I know the goal is to get the negative review off your Unilocal wall. I appreciate the invite to come back, but everything preceding that invite back was more reason not to. Having tact can usually save the day.

I decided to cheat on Nails dot com (gasp!) after their waxer double dipped on me– see my review. I went there to get my nails several times but after seeing that not everything is ‘clean’ there I decided to try something new.
Beauty Nails is indeed clean. In fact, I’m not sure if they even do waxing. It’s not listed on their price list, but there were 2 rooms of sorts that I couldn’t tell what they are used for. But they do good nails and really take their time. Everyone on the staff was incredibly polite and the massage chairs are FANTASTIC. In fact, I would almost say the pedicure/​massage chairs look almost brand new. But the décor and everything else is indeed no frills.
I got a mani/​pedi for $ 35 which I think it a good deal. The only downside is that the color choices are a bit limited, but if you aren’t picky then you should be fine.

I spent 2 ½ hours here.
Why?
Because they insisted on making my nails (hands & feet) perfect. Perfect, I tell you.
They (Tom and Thuy) did not rush me or their services. They were polite. They were genuinely friendly.
As another Unilocaler commented, if I was walking past this place I would do just that – walk right past. It doesn’t catch your eye or scream at you «COME GIT YOUR NAILS DID HERE.» …that’s what I’m here for.
Another thing to mention: Everyone who walked in that door was a regular, which tells you something about the place. (They treated me like I was a regular too, even though it was my first time! Whoo!)
Do them a favor and tip them well! They deserve it! :D
