I got a haircut last week. I told the older spanish guy that I just wanted a tiny bit off. He said, okay– short. I said no, just a little. He said yes, few inches. I told him, NO only a little. I showed him a few times. He kept calling me lady and smiling and said okay, okay.
He cut off probably 3 inches! My hair was barely touching my shoulders, hence I wanted just a little off. When I came home, hair dried I noticed one side is longer then the other. I ignored it and thought it was an illusion because I have wavy hair. Every day I was looking in the mirror thinking this isn’t right. I just took scissors and chopped about ½ inch-​¾ inch off of one side and it looks better. It now looks even. Also, I think back is longer but I can’t cut it because I don’t have the skills to do that.
I am not going back here for another haircut!
It takes awhile to grow out hair… and this man just chopped off inches when I was asking for cm’s. It was $ 8, but so not worth a jacked up haircut!

I have been getting my hair cut here pretty regularly for about 6 months now and have had a different stylist each time. Not once have I gotten a bad hair cut, and they are always very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a decent cheap hair cut.

They do a great job straight forward no BS in and out the prices are too low however I guess that’s why they are busy all the time if you are in the area stop by you will be happy

Awesome family owned shop with great service and prices. My whole family gets haircuts here every three weeks and I have gotten my eyebrows expertly threaded. The staff is very friendly and walk-​ins are welcome.

Amazing eyebrow/​face threading for DIRT cheap! I usually walk past it on my way home from work and can just poke my head in to see if there is someone available to thread. They get you in and out on on your way and do a fantastic job!

Looks like this place specializes in men’s buzz cuts. Fast service, no appointment necessary. Prices used to be only $ 6, but now they’ve raised it to $ 8 per haircut.

I love Gia. She is so professional. I don’t let anyone to touch my hair and eyebrows except her. I think her chair is number 9. She is just GREAT

I moved to this neighborhood three years ago and immediately started looking for a good, inexpensive place to get my hair cut. I’m not terribly obsessed with my hair (hence the looking for cheap places), but I do like it to look nice. I tried various discount chains, salons that were less than the typical $ 80 and hair schools. I couldn’t find anywhere that was a decent balance of cheap, but quality. That is, until I found Baci! Once I went there for my first $ 6 haircut, I was sold! Not only are they inexpensive, but they actually have quality people there that listen to what you’re looking for. I’ve even gone there for big changes like medium length to pixie cut, etc. and been really happy with the results. Plus, I love that I can pay for the haircut with a $ 10 bill and then use the $ 4 change for a tip. I mean, come on, where else are you going to be able to do that? If you’re in the market for good, inexpensive cuts, I’d recommend it.
One note: when I first started coming there, I was confused by how things were setup and where I should go/​what I should do since there’s not someone sitting at the front desk usually. I’ve learned that when you walk in the door, one of the stylists will usually say «Hi,» just tell that person what you’re there for and they’ll point you towards the right chair.

You get pay for a $ 6 haircut, you get a $ 6 haircut. And that’s what I got. There was a seriously bizarre vibe to this place, I certainly didn’t feel welcome, and it kind of felt like the people cutting hair were indentured servants. Regardless, I’m not entirely sure my girl spoke any English, which is fine because I speak Spanish, but it made the consult very awkward in that she didn’t know that I speak Spanish and I tried but she didn’t want to. Anyway, I tried to explain what I wanted, and through a series of gestures, I thought we were on the same page… until she picked up my hair and cut it a good inch shorter than we agreed. There were maybe going to be some highlights but I got the hell out of there before she could do any more damage. The «manager» in charge didn’t even bother to ask how I felt about my service, like he knew he was providing less than acceptable services, but just there collecting money. I got home, and found a ton of hair she missed, so I’m thinking about sending it in to them, because I had to give myself a haircut all over again after work. I actually have to go get another haircut to have this one fixed. I can’t believe they passed any sort of inspection.

Been going for a while, easy fade $ 6, quick, no hassle. Have you looking like a Puerto Rican teenager in ten minutes, line up your eyebrows son.

I’ve been going here for over 2 years. Staff is friendly and the facilities are very clean and neat. The service is very consistent and definitely a great value for the price.
They have many stations and stylists/​technicians but they do get busy — a testament to the quality of service they provide.

I love this place for what it is. The first time I ever had my eyebrows waxed was here after my stylist talked me into it. It’s $ 6 plus tip. I always go to the older lady who I believe is the owner. Her daughter did my eyebrows before and did a great job as well. I go here occasionally for in-​between, last minute trims and eyebrow waxing. Although I did go in here many years ago when I decided to cut 6 inches off my hair, one of the best short cuts I ever had. They specialize in short cuts, my little brother is always happy with his cuts when he drops by the city. So short cuts, trims, and eyebrows all $ 6 plus tip.

I’ve been coming to Baci for about 2.5 years now, on recommendation from friend. As a poor college student, I needed a place within walking/​short bus ride to get my simple hair cuts. For $ 6 + tip I was out the door with little wait time, if any. Sure, this place isn’t for the types looking for a $ 25 hair cut with the chic salon names, fancy chairs, and inflated egos. Even since I’ve started my official «yuppie”-esque job downtown, I still come out to get my hair did at Baci.
Tip: If you’re annoyed by the rising street parking rates, park on the west side of Ashland by the school, it’s usually easy to get a spot and there’s no pay boxes on that side or just take the blue line or Ashland bus!

I am a threading BOSS/​MAHA-​GURU. I have been threaded almost all my life by the people who started making threading popular– Indian people. So, i’m used to paying dirt cheap, but being able to find good threaders (plus i’m from NJ, so i know where to find my fellow brown people)
In Chicago, & with Devon st being half hr away from me, i’ve been trying to find new places to get threaded. So, since my usual threader is on vacation (if it were up to me. she wouldnt be allowed to leave lol), i decided to try out Bacci since they have decent Unilocal reviews and are down the block from me. But i’m so sad, i am out of 20 $ and ontop of that this place sucks. She pulls the thread from such a distance, and i can feel my hair being ripped out– and not the good «from the root» kind. its more «i cut it and there’s still the root left» kind of thread. She must have learnt it from a youtube video or something. i can thread myself better than her. Oh, and she only threaded about 60% of the hair, she plucked the rest of them! PLUCKING IS BAD for the upper lip and the chin area! It leaves spots, which is why i come get threaded in the first place ! So, normally i dont mind if there are like 2 – 5 stubborn ones that just love my face too much and dont wanna let go, but plucking about 40% of my face is ridiculous– if a strand can come out with a plucker, a thread should be able to grab onto it. Its just the way it is.
Anyway, take my advice, pay a little extra and just ONCE try out Parlor 836 with Jessica u can tell her Pooja sent u. They treat u like royalty, are very very professional and do a great job! (i usually get my whole face and neck threaded for 20 $ because i go a bit, but i think eyebrow threading there is 10 $). try it out just so you know what real threading is supposed to be like. It is only 4 – 5 streets down and over from bacci on damen. Plus, its a cute family run place, they always have tea while i wait :)
Oh, BTW, since the lady @ Bacci didn’t pull from the root, my hair started growing back the very next day. Yea, needless to say, will not be returning.

I’ve had panic attacks over haircuts more expensive than these ($ 6). No panic attacks yet, though I’ve only had five cuts here. I come here about every other week since I aspire to be like the boys on Jersey Shore. I’ll post my favorite tanning salon and Cadillac service center next.
The first few visits may be a little confusing, but after a while if you’re a guy you’ll realize you want your hair cut by the guy at the front door. You may plot how you will plan to wait for him to become available or you’ll stalk other Unilocal reviews for his name. Though, when you request him by name and he doesn’t recognize you that may be a little awkward. Thankfully I got a gentleman who knew what he was doing yesterday and he guido’d me up faster than you can sound your grenade horn. Hair cut and beard shave for $ 12? All I do is WIN WIN WIN no matter what!

I go here every few weeks to get my fade. It’s not too hard of a haircut so I hate paying more than $ 10 for it… only $ 6 at Bacci. I go to the young guy right at the entrance, believe his name is Mark.
Since I have big eyebrows I have to get those done too but stopped doing them here. My skin always gets really red when I finish there and it takes long for them to do. I prefer going to Wax On Wax Off on Taylor.
For haircuts though they get the job done for a good price. They are closed on Tuesdays by the way.
