I’ve been coming to Azul for about 3 years now. I would not go anywhere else in Chicago. The customer service is friendly, offering tea or water right as you come in, and the massages are always relaxing and great. I have not had a bad experience there before, and I plan to keep going as long as I am around there.

If you are looking for a basic massage for decent price great place. Looking for a spa experience, not really the place.
I’m docking 1 star bc it was a super disappointment for a group of 4 girls. They put us in the men’s locker room & gave us men’s clothing & shoes. Services were not timed properly between the 4 of us. Some got extra time, others were shorted. There was no place for us to relax before/​after services besides a tiny closet/​meditation room that other guests were coming & going from. Just not enough room.
We had to go to the front desk to get water after services in our robes. We did get a comp upon complaining.
I’m docking another star for cleanliness. Ceiling tiles were moldy, bathrooms not clean, etc. I asked for a pillow to prop my back up (I’m pregnant) during a facial, they used the decorative pillows from the front lobby & didn’t put them under sheets.

Inconsistent. Went with 3 girlfriends, each got facial and massage. 3 were pre-​natal, mine wasn’t. They were expecting a paraffin option, I thought I was getting a hot stone massage. I don’t mind that I didn’t get hot stone, but two of them received only 45 minutes instead of the hour. My service was a 4, but the overall experience wasn’t.

Overall experience, not bad but kind of lame. A bit of a value stop. Inconsistent services with our group of four.

Amazing place! Azul always exceed my expectations. The place is beautiful, the spa is clean and the staff is very professional. It was very easy to booked an appointment through Unilocal.You might have a hard time looking for free parking, I suggest you to just pay the meter.

I had my anniversary with the best couples massage at Azul Holistic Spa. The Spa boutique is very well located in the west Loop Chicago. My wife love the spa décor and the great customer service. We will be back for Valentines Day.

I think I have been to Azul more than I have been anywhere else in Chicago. Including the Jewel across the street. But for real.
I’ve been coming here for over a year now and have had the luxury to get massages from a lot of the masseuses.
The owners, Silvia and Marta, are exceptional. Super personable and nice, and happen to have the most amazing technique. They have transferred this technique and personality to their staff. Gigi, Deppie, Carolyn and Justin have all given me massages and they are all excellent. It’s not about you just coming in and leaving. They take the time to figure out your issues — and my back is a war zone — and work on it.
I’ve seen Deppie and Carolyn the most and recommend them and Azul as much as I can. The owners (sisters) spend time at their Miami location so it’s hard to get them.
Love this place. I need a membership or something, I’ve never frequented one place like this in my life! Amazing.
Can’t wait for my next one! I always look forward to it!

The spa screwed me out of two massages which I had purchased. I purchased a small package from them a few years ago. Due to a complex health issue, I was waiting on using the last two credits for a full hour massage. When I came back in I was told that due to a computer system migration, they no longer had any record of my credits and that they were forfeit, without even extending me an offer to at least buy new credits at a reduced rate. I’m giving them two stars instead of one in recognition that I am partly to blame for having waited so long and not contacted them to verify that they were keeping my account active, but nevertheless the way they so blithely said that they were not honoring credits on old accounts was not very endearing. If you purchase a package, either use it promptly or be sure you keep a record of the transaction.

Omg. Caroline just rocked my world. I travel to Chicago to visit family often, but this was my first time at Azul. I’m really impressed! Her touch was very intuitive. As she was working on my erector spinae (sides of spine) a pain deep under my scapula cropped up, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, but I didn’t want to interrupt her amazing flow, and like a psychic she totally started working on that area, even though she didn’t on the other side. Did I say I was impressed! her pace was totally on point, super slow and juicy (can I say that!?). I was the last client of the night and she hooked me up with an extra 15 mins (shhh…don’t tell) tip this fabulous therapist well so she can afford to get a massage herself!

I rarely write reviews but our experience at Azul was so wonderful we just wanted to give them a shout out. I am from out of town & researched a non-​commercial spa in Chicago as a treat for my daughter. Azul is genuinely wellness & healing oriented and the entire staff will make you feel cared for, from the tea, meditation room, the serene environment, caring customer service… and one of the BEST massages I have had in my life. The therapists were kind, pleasant, and will take care of you. It’s also a wonderful location in West Loop close to nice restaurants, & Marriano’s grocery where we went for juice afterwards. Thank You Azul!

I take my massage time very seriously. I’ve had a membership with massage envy for a year. Then a friend gifted me a massage at this place. and OH MY GOD. This place is not just about giving massages, but actually making you feel RELAXED and pampered. Massage envy is all about get you in and get you out. But from the minute I walked in, I was greeted, offered something to drink, shown where to change and then I sat in this cool little mediation room. This is place, décor wise, music wise is all about the zen! My massage room actually had lit candles and my therapist was so attentive. They let me lay there for like 10 minutes after my massage just to take it in. Hopefully that wasn’t annoying for them :)
I came back for a prenatal massage in my 39^th week hoping to push my body into labor. She focused so wonderfully on my feet and all the important points. I did not think it was possible to find comfort in the 9 month of my pregnancy – but for 90 minutes I sure did.
God bless the owners of this place for putting love and passion into their work! Thank you!

I went to Azul Spa after I purchased a Gilt City voucher for a 50 min coconut oil massage. Debbie was my massage threrapist and she was excellent! One of the best massages I have ever had! I highly recommend this place.
Only downside is that the locker room type area, while very pretty and very clean, is a little small. It was crowded and tough to maneuver on a busy Saturday. Also, normal non-​discounted prices are a tiny bit on the high side, but not horiffying.

This review is a bit overdue… but the owner called me promptly and asked for me to explain my experience to her. She was very friendly and showed great customer service.
She even offered me another facial that would be done BY HER. That was extremely nice.
I haven’t had a chance to go back or take her up on the offer, but I appreciate the gesture and how much she cares her business.

My first time going to Azul. I found them by googling ‘best facials in the West Loop’ since I live in the area. They were the nicest of people! It is small, but it almost made it more personable. I had Martha for my facial, who happened to be the spa’s owner. She was fantastic! She was so sweet, and told me what she was doing. She made sure I was comfortable, and made sure I knew if I wasn’t, to tell her. She gave the most amazing shoulder and scalp massage as well! It was definitely what I needed. I will definitely be back for a facial, and to check out their other services.

I never went to have a massage before. My first time ever and I landed in the RIGHT place.
Since I walked in the welcoming ambiance makes you relax. Is like stress is not welcome through the door. One can really feel peace and warmth. I was greeted by the receptionist, Katherine who immediatly share a smile and a nice cup of tea. I have to admit I was a little nervous at first, but once the masseuse Carolyn put hands on me I entered heaven. I received an amazing deep tissue massage that really made me feel like a new person. This place completely change my rest of the week. I can’t wait to go back for another step-​into-​heaven massage. This just becomes «addictive wellness»

The waiting room is decorated pretty nicely. They offer you tea or lemon water while you wait.
I also like that there’s a Unilocal voucher, too. Online booking froze while I was signing up for an appointment, but I called and the receptionist was nice about it and still accepted the voucher.
Went here for my very first sugaring. Martha was quick and very nice. She talked me through it and told me that she would be very gentle. She was considerate even asking me how hot the sugar was each time. Would recommend this place.

My first experience was a sugaring brazilian wax. Painless, considerate, actually pleasant. I loved the atmosphere here and def coming back for a massage.
They have a great system for booking appointments online. This makes all the difference!
Wish the price was a little more reasonable, but will update once I get the massage!

This was my first professional massage experience, so I’m writing from the perspective of someone who has no basis of comparison. But it was a good massage. I left feeling loose and refreshed, which I guess is what was supposed to happen.
I purchased a couples massage for me and my girlfriend. It was a little pricey, but I chose a package that included couples facials (ha ha yeah just get it out of your system). I bought the gift certificate online and was able to print it out. Very convenient and transparent, I didn’t have to wait a week for it to arrive in the mail.
My first bit of advice is be prepared to look for parking if you don’t want to pay a lot. We found a metered spot a block away.
So we go inside (again no basis of comparison), and I had to go into this dim locker room to undress and put on a robe, which felt awkward because not only was I almost naked, but I was wearing someone else’s robe. We were led into a dark room that had candles and incense burning and new age music.
The massage therapists were tiny, but they were strong, and I swear she reached through my ribcage and pulled out a lung. I’m lying here face down and all oiled up. All I needed was a mullet and a saxophone, and we would have been good. And now I realize why I never get massages. I’m extremely ticklish and half the time I tried not to giggle. Yeah, I’m classy like that.
Overall it was a good experience. The facility is clean and the staff is nice. Was it worth the money? Probably.
