I had total knee replacement 6−13−15. I was released on 6 – 17 and saw Jessica from Ayuda in my home on the 19^th. I don’t think I was prepared for the degree of discomfort that accompanied the operation and pt was a real challenge. Jessica is very knowledgeable. Her encouragement and firm guidance helped me get into a work out routine that I would never been able to accomplish on my own. I highly recommend her and Ayuda.

After an extended hospital stay had in home PT with Chinar Seth @ Ayuda. Chinar was the best. After only a few visits she got me back into shape with her expertise, motivation, encouragement & unbelievable care. I highly recommend Ayuda, and especially Chinar.

Total hip replacement Tuesday 4÷14÷15. Surgeon Dr. Scott Sporer out of Midwest Orthopedics. Surgery was at Rush in Chicago. Extremely successful due to the great hands of Dr. Sporer and the staff at Rush. Have not used the cane or prescription pain killers since 4÷20÷15. Two weeks later and I am now back to work, driving myself. Most importantly, my discharge orders included home physical therapy through Ayuda.
Ayuda sent the perfect therapist, Chinar. My home progress and success is directly related to Chinar’s expertise. She was able to read my level of functioning as well as my personal motivation. All of the exercises were spot on to address my needs and I am now well equipped with the perfect shoes (Chinar’s suggestion) and home exercise program.
Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Chinar. She is a charming, positive outgoing individual that possesses the knowledge and experience to ensure optimal outcomes. Should anyone need a physical therapist, I highly recommend seeking Chinar and her exceptional skills.

I had my total hip replacement on Oct. 13, 2014 and, with the patience and kindness of several Ayuda professionals, I was up on my feet and back to feeling myself within a few short weeks.
The first week home was very scary for me as I did not expect to be in the condition I was in. I was pretty scared and confused when I first met my physical therapist, Chinar, my occupational therapist, Latonya, and my nurse, Sami. All three of them came to my home several times a week to guide and educate me as I learned how to function with a new hip. They provided the positive motivation and reassurance I needed as I dealt with the limitations and precautions during recovery.
I was very uncomforatable about allowing strangers into my home while being in such a vulnerable state because my family was gone most of the day and I was alone a lot but their professionalism and authenticity soon won me over as I realized what a true blessing they were. Each of us has a calling and these three women truly were meant to rehabilitate not only the body but the soul and mind as well. I was an emotional and physical mess after my surgery and they each had their own unique way of helping me find my way back to the strong person I was before surgery. At As I said good-​bye and thank you to each of them last week, I was struck with just how far they had guided me in such a short time.
I will begin my outpatient Physical Therapy next week and I feel confident to handle any and all future physical and emotional demands during my continued recovery because of my home rehabilitation with Chinar, Latonya, and Sami. Thank you again! You guys ROCK!

I had total knee replacement surgery three weeks ago. I have been undergoing intense physical therapy ever since. My therapist. Chinar Seth, has challenged me within my comfort zone but with great guidance in each session. The repertoire of exercise expands with each visit. I can’t say enough about how she has helped me. Thanks Ayuda for sending me this great therapist.

Last June I had a right hip replacement and my Doctor Kris Alden (best surgeon in greater Chicago) from Hinsdale OrthopedicsI and Summit hooked me up with Peter Sims. We spent two weeks doing in home OT & PT and this man got me going on the right track. By the time we parted I was well on my way to recovery.
Fast forward to this January where I had a total left knee replacement, a different ballgame from the hip. Again I was fortunate enough to have Peter, the Zen Master of Physical Therapy. He set me up with a list of stretches and motion exercises to get the new knee operational. Made sure I knew the proper ways to move, getting in and out of bed, in and out of chairs etc. We worked on the motion of the knee, bending and straightening, which helped immensely when I went on to outpatient therapy. He definitely took me to my limits but never past. By the time the two weeks had past, I had exceeded the goals my doctor had hoped for. All because of Peter. Thanks brother, you’re the best…

Peter Sims was my physical therapist following having a total hip replacement. He was excellent. This is my second experience with hip replacement surgery, as I had my other hip replaced last year; however, I had a different PT therapist the first time. Based on my two experiences, I could not speak more highly of Peter. He paced the exercises perfectly to properly challenge me. In fact, I was walking without a crutch within a week of surgery. After each session, I felt encouraged to want to do more, as I could easily see the progress. Additionally, he was very knowledgeable and answered my questions and gave me great advice about what to do and what to avoid.
Upon going to outpatient PT, the therapist remarked how far along I already was. I attribute this to the work Peter did. Once again, I highly recommend Peter.

Él fue recomendado por una agencia de cuidado de salud en el hogar y mi mamá fue muy afortunada que le tocara un fisioterapeuta que hablara español. Peter animaba a mi mamá, sabía sus limitaciones al igual que sus expectativas, lo cual ayudaba bastante a que mi mamá excediera las expectativas del doctor. I worked with Peter B Sims after a complete right hip replacement surgery for my in-​home Physical Therapy.
First I must say how professional he was and how I will be forever grateful to him. From the first moments with Peter it felt like he took my case personally. I kept feeling like he was going above and beyond to make sure I not only would walk again but I would thrive and have a long and healthy life with my new right hip.
Peter was personable and calm but got right to it and he started pushing me to the proper limits of my capabilities. He questioned me constantly on pain levels, on how do you feel now and asked me over and over again «where are you on the pain scale».
He knows the body, bones and muscles he was 100% attentive to every muscle I was using and more importantly my Right Hip Joint and he did a personal assessment on me, my goals and my personality.
Peter’s movements and PT Therapy exercises were always challenging but he was careful not to push my hip too far to the point of injury.
He had a session of time built into my PT Time for him to do his professional Deep Tissue stretching of the muscles we were working. I always looked forward to this fantastic compliment to my PT Therapy Exercises.
So let me tell you and all of my Unilocal friends Peter B Sims is incredibly skilled and professional I recommend him to anyone in need of PT Therapy.

I worked with Peter after a knee replacement surgery for my in-​home Physical Therapy prior to being ready for outpatient PT. Peter is knowledgeable and personable, and was able to figure out just how much pushing I needed to get my exercises done. I met and then exceeded the two week expectation of achieving 90 degree flexion, and my doctor was very happy with that, as was I. He helped me build the confidence in my new knee that I needed, as well as reminding me of my progress which gave me the encouragement I needed as well when I got impatient.
Peter was a pleasure to work with, and I was sad to have to give him up when our series of PT sessions was completed.
