Established in 2000.

Although founder/​principal Amanda Sudimack started her photography career & business in 1998, Artisan Events™ was really born in 2000.

With Amanda’s business leadership and creative vision, she developed the company from a one-​woman photography studio to a full-​service creative studio supporting over 30 staff members. Her thriving business currently offers photography, design, video, multi-​media production, album production and retail services to their devoted wedding and commercial clientele.

As we’ve expanded our services and staff over the past 10 years of business, we continue to live and grow on one simple goal…

create beautiful work that inspires, attention to detail that impresses, and customer service that wows.

Business Owner

Amanda Sudimack started her first business at the age of 22. Artisan Events, Inc.™ was born shortly thereafter. With a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Amanda’s leadership and creative vision, she developed the company from a one-​woman photography studio to a full-​service creative studio.

Sudimack has been an active industry expert in the media for over 10 years. Her work has been published in Photo District News, Real Simple Weddings, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Inside Weddings, Bride’s, Modern Bride, Chicago Magazine, Home, ABC7, Dai​ly​Candy​.com and The​Knot​.com. Sudimack received the coveted PDN Top Knots Award twice and Best of Weddings by The​Knot​.com 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Photo District News recently named her one of the nations «Top 20 Wedding Photographers». The book, «Wedding Photography Unveiled: Insight & Inspiration from 20 Top Photographers», is now available on www​.ama​zon​.com.

Artisan Events was fantastic. Tina and AJ were a pleasure to work with on our wedding day and we could not be more thrilled with how the pictures turned out (and the quick turnaround time to receive them and relive the moments!). The photography was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The black and white photos along with the candid shots came out exactly how we had dreamed it would. We will cherish having these photos for the rest of our lives. You guys are the best!

Artisan made the process so simple and stress free. And on the day of the wedding Tina and Tim were so great at handling all the family (and there was a lot of family) and I felt comfortable that my wedding was going to be captured perfectly. And I was right! We just got our photos back and they are gorgeous and there wasn’t a moment missed. I would HIGHLY recommend artisan

Artisan Events is an amazing photography studio full of talented artists! I spent long days scouring the web for the best photographer, and my work paid off! We worked with AJ and Tim, and they were phenomenal. We couldn’t have asked for a better shooting team. They have great energy and just are so great at what they do. The investment was 100% worth it and can’t wait to receive our album. Did I mention, we got all our photos back in 2 weeks? That’s unheard of and amazing!

We have been working with Tina and Amanda and it has been such a treat! Tina shot the day. We met with Tina a few months before the wedding and when we told her what we were looking for she instantly understood what we were going for — a little bit artistic, but with a heavy focus on trying to capture the emotions of the day. They coordinated the details with my wedding coordinator and so I didn’t hear from them until Tina showed up at my house on my wedding day — completely stress free! Tina was so un-​intrusive, I didn’t even know she was already at my house and taking photos! The photos at the church were unbelievable. Then we when to the country club to take bridal party pictures outside. Other vendors were trying to talk to me and get in the mix, Tina jumped in and made sure that they left me alone to enjoy the moment with my husband. Since the wedding day, I’ve been working with Amanda and Tina to put the photo book together. They are so prompt and efficient, it’s amazing! I cannot wait to see the finished product!

My husband and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Artisan Events, and Tina in particular. When we began the wedding planning process, we knew that photography was an area that we really wanted to invest in – I mean, it’s the most important day (and one of the most expensive!) of one’s life, so wouldn’t you want everything captured on camera?!
Tina was very professional and so easy to get along with – which is SO important with someone who is with you the entire day of your wedding. She made us feel comfortable and didn’t have us do any goofy photos. We were even more comfortable on our wedding day because Tina did an engagement photo session with us, which went spectacularly – They were great photos to use for our save the dates! Everything felt so natural in the moment on our wedding day and it really translated once we got the final photos. Tina and the staff at Artisan Events have been such a joy to work with once we got our photos back and began discussing our photo album.
We’ve just finished the editing process for our photo album and can’t wait to see the finished result! We’ve also ordered albums for our parents, which made for great thank you gifts for their love and support through the planning process. We’re also looking forward to getting the digital archive of our photos, so we can print our photos and hang some around our house.
Thank you Tina and Artisan Events for helping us capture the love and joy that we felt on our wedding day – We will be able to look back and remember that special day forever now!

My husband and I worked with Tina from Artisan Events for our wedding this past October and I cannot say enough good things about her and the studio in general. On the logistical end of things, everything about the studio is professional and efficient. On the photography end of things, Tina’s photos of our wedding were stunning and managed to capture the emotion of the day, while also looking like artwork. Their albums are true masterpieces, which is what made us choose them in the first place.
Tina also has the absolute perfect personality for a wedding photographer. She’s friendly and pleasant to be around, while striking the perfect balance between offering her professional wisdom and asking for your input. All of the obligatory altar photos following our ceremony were timely and efficient, to the point that even our wedding party raved about Tina and her colleague (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember but who was a joy to work with as well).
We are so happy with the photos from our wedding and our entire experience with Artisan Events.

When my wife, Alison, and I went through the process of choosing a wedding photographer, we had a clear vision of how we wanted our special day captured. We wanted someone who could find the natural beauty in the setting, had an eye for picking out the best shot, and would truly let us be who we are (no lame poses). We also knew that at the end of the day, our pictures are what we’ll have to remember the event. All that said, when we found Artisan Events and met with Tina, we had a good feeling we found the photographer who could fulfill our wishes. When the day came, our «good feeling» was 100% affirmed.
In the midst of the madness of the day, Tina brought a level of comfort to Alison and I, letting us enjoy the moment and truly be ourselves. She and Danielle (our second shooter) conducted themselves with such professionalism, being accessible at all times while never disrupting the evening. And when we saw the shots for the first time, I can only say I was blown away. In each shot, I could feel the emotions all over again. She and Danielle (our second shooter) were able to capture us in such a way that we actually relived our wedding day sitting at our laptop. We chose Artisan for their style — artistic photojournalism — because we wanted the shots to showcase the surroundings and the moment as much as they showcased us. What we got far exceeded our expectations. Tina has given us the ability to remember our wedding day in the most vivid and stunning light. We could not be any happier.

I employed Artisan about three years ago to do some still photography for my web site. She and her partner Tod Szewczyk we simply amazing. They handled an office staff of 19, guiding each member through the litany of head shots, group shots and more. On top of the exquisite work, they were simply a pleasure to work with. The shoot took almost 5 hours in incredible heat and we received nothing but patient direction and professional work. Since the shoot, I have worked with Tina and Lindsey to manage the production work and coordinate with advertisers and web-​site developers. Again, nothing but exceptional, professional work and successful outcomes.
Artisan and Amanda have been singled out by national publications… but more importantly, by each and almost every client that has worked with them. Check them out. They rock.

We met with Allison from Artisan. Her work is amazing… We ended up picking Pen Carlson Photography, but Artisan was in the top 2… I would recommend looking at her work for your wedding photography.
The only con: she seems more expensive than other photographers. but to be fair, she does have a lot of experience! She is definitely a pro. You know that if you hire her, you will get great shots.

This place is a class act. If you are looking for photo journalism styled wedding photography or baby portraits definitely check out Artisan Events. Amanda, the owner, has set the bar very high. The album styles range from actual bound books to more traditional albums to mini, purse-​sized brag books. She has a lot of great photographers working for her which offers some variation in style and price levels. A friend of mine hired Amanda to shoot her wedding, she had 2 additional assistants capturing the event making sure not to miss a thing. If your not looking for a photographer she has a boutique that sells beautiful albums, stationary, frames and framing. Pricing is on the high end but you get what you pay for and in this case you get extraordinary photography and album design.
