I don’t really know why this place gets such bad reviews. I was in a room within 10 minutes of my appointment time and a nurse was in shortly after that. I had a new patient appointment and the dr spent plenty of time with me. I was able to bring up all my issues and get the appropriate referrals with ease.
I also had to get blood work done and the nurse was able the draw my blood without any trouble, which is not something that happens for me often.
The front office staff was very friendly and helpful. They got me set up for my next appointment quickly. After everything I was in and out in a little over an hour. I have ever been to several other doctors in the same area and have not had such great service, often waiting much longer to get into a room.
If you’re looking for a fancy brand new place with state of the art everything, this place isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for good doctors and friendly office staff, I’d highly recommend.

I am beyond frustrated with the lack of service I’ve received at Antillas. The wait time to even get into a room has consistently been over and hour. My last experience there was so bad I had to switch facilities. I called for an appointment in late January to get help for debilitating cramps. The only available appointment was in mid February, so I accepted it. I had to cancel the day of the appointment due to a work emergency. I rescheduled the appointment for 2 weeks later. When I came in that day, the receptionist told me she had no record of the rescheduled appointment. I rescheduled again. This time I called before I went in. Again, they had no record of the second rescheduled appointment. I finally got in a couple weeks later, and got a referral for radiology. I was told I could come into Antillas and get my results within 3 days of the ultrasound. I came in several days later. I waited 2 hours before being called into the room. Half an hour later I was still waiting. After I complained, the nurse told me the fax machine was broken and they couldn’t get my results. I was told the dr would call me within the next couple days once the machine was broken. It’s been almost 2 weeks and no results. I’ve called every day and have left voicemails. No one has called me back. I will never set foot in here. My current dr hasn’t received my records from them and I’m not sure if Antillas will ever get them together. As of now I’m still wondering if I have tumors or not. And it has been since January. I’m beyond upset.

After my initial terrible experience, I was never called back with my lab results. When I called to get my results they told me that I never had the tests done that samples were taken for. I also received bill after bill for the lab results that they claimed I never had. Cool. Keeps getting worse. Dealing with their billing is awful terrible. Just don’t come here.

I’m confused by the negative reviews, I’ve had an excellent experience at this clinic! Dr. George is a great doctor and the staff is always attentive to my needs. Plus, they make me laugh, which is always a plus!

In a community that needs good care, this is just sad. My office experience here has been awful; the doctors have been nice and very helpful, but the staff and the office itself is just depressing. SINAI should be ashamed.

Worst place ever! Then people who work in the office are rude as all check. One hour on the waiting room. One hour in the exam room. The floors are dirty. The lobby was a sauna. This place is a dump! Only come here if you want Ebola! All I needed was a prescription refill yeah. Still didn’t get it. Receptionist like to make appointments for doctors that aren’t available and then try to adjust your schedule because you’re the one causing the inconvenience. I am surprised they still didn’t charge me the copay.

ONE STAR! My first appointment went okay (the only reason for 1 star!). Then I had follow-​ups for the OBGYN doctor. Twice, I waited two hours for this doctor who only dispensed about 10 minutes worth of medical advice. The receptionist always looked annoyed when I asked her if the doctor was actually in. Otherwise, why am I waiting so long? Another time, they never called me to cancel an appointment. I drove in the pouring rain to get to my appointment only to have the receptionist tell me the doctor was cancelling all their appointments. They never tried to reach me on my cell! This were truly bad experiences and I will not be going back to this facility.

This is literally the worst doctors office I have ever been to. They all act like they have no idea what their job is. Be prepared to wait a hour for your appointment to begin and 2 weeks for a call back. Dr. George only gives prescriptions for 3 – 6 months at a time before she wants you to come in again and go through the exhausting process again. Don’t go here!!! I’ve been going here for just a few months, and I can definitely relate to these poor reviews. I have waited for over an hour in the dingy waiting room, even when my appt was right at opening time. I came in for a physical just to meet Dr. George and set up my PCP, and was asked to come back due to high cholesterol. I came back, paid my co pay, and was told I just need to diet and exercise. Thanks for wasting my money and time.
Dr. Mosoco is a decent gyno and my visits with her are pleasant, but she is never there. When I call, I get different answers about when she is actually present in the office and am asked to make an appointment when I have just a simple question or am requesting to refill an Rx. When my birth control ran out I waited for over a week to get her approval to refill it, and even then it was the wrong pill.
DO NOT GO HERE. I am going to begin the process of finding a different office.

The facilities are horribly scummy.
Wait times are incredibly long.
I was misdiagnosed for a simple cold.
Blood work was given when not needed and now I have a large bill.
Payments and Insurance were not taken correctly so now I have to fix it.
Never got a call back from either the office or doctor to get prescriptions.
Dont. Go. Here. Ever.
Unless you like visiting hell on earth.
But if you do, then you’ll like this place.

My insurance sent me to Antillas Family Medical Center after a bike accident landed me in the ER with a broken arm on the 4^th of July. I’m new to the city and my job, and hadn’t yet gotten established with a primary care doctor, and Antillas could get me in the same day as long as I was there by 11. There’s a clinic in the same medical group in my neighborhood, but I needed to get in ASAP. Fine.
I got there at 1045, filled out some paperwork, and waited. It’s worth mentioning that I had been in the ER til 2am the previous night. I hadn’t had any food, water, caffeine, or pain medication as I had to rush straight to the medical center in order to make the «appointment». This was a mistake on my part.
I waited about 90 minutes before being shown back to a room, and another 30 minutes before I saw a doctor. The nurse took my vitals and medical history, though as with Betty L., she made several mistakes, even after I repeated myself and corrected her. After about 15 minutes of waiting in the room, I wandered out in search of a drinking fountain — maybe 10 minutes (and a lot of searching) later, they were able to bring me a cup of water. That’s right: no drinking fountain, and no cups.
Eventually the doctor came in, went over the same history, didn’t correct the mistakes, didn’t seem to believe me when I said I’ve never been pregnant (how many pregnancies? none. how many miscarriages? none. abortions? I’VE NEVER BEEN PREGNANT.), gave me misinformation about my birth control, and kept calling me Mami and Mama. She didn’t seem to know why I was there, and then took forever to contact the ER to get my records. She pressured me to come back to their clinic to see the orthopedist, even though I repeatedly told her that it was very inconvenient and that I’d prefer to see him at the clinic in my neighborhood where he is normally located.
At one point I started crying because I was exhausted and hungry and in pain and just wanted to get OUT OF THERE. That got the doctor’s attention. She asked if they’d kept me waiting long (2.5 hours in total for a referral) and apologized and rubbed my back a little.
I called my insurance and the medical group this morning and told both of them that I do not ever want to go back to this doctor or this clinic. Every aspect of my experience there came off as unprofessional and incompetent.

never went they price to go was way to much 100 a vist. is not for the uninsured.

It hard to see the doctor for appointment

Do not, under any circumstances, go here. If your primary care doctor is in their medical group, seriously consider changing.
I was sent here to have a diagnostic ultrasound a while back and soon after switched primary care doctors. My new doctor ordered a follow up and requested the transfer of the original films to her facility. That was four months ago. I have called, she has called, her assistants have called, and were all assured that they were be sent out. Finally, yesterday I was told that their roaming (?!) US tech keeps those in a storage facility and he’s the only one with access AND it takes «a long time» for him to return phonecalls.
As my newest appointment (I’ve had to reschedule 3 times so far because of this issue) is in a few days, it looks like I’ll have to reschedule again. Even if this weren’t of MEDICAL IMPORTANCE, it would still be infuriating.

All I can say is SCARY! I agree with the last post– I went in for an appoinment and it looks like what an illegal, free abortion clinic must look like. In the room, the walls were peeling, the floors were chipping, and there were yellow stains around the sink on the wall– above and below. The «nurse» who did my intake asked me my father’s history– had no idea what hypertension was. Didn’t know what hypothyroidism was. I had to point to my thyroid, and then actually write it down for her when she handed me a gum wrapper and asked me to write it down. The doctor had no idea what he was doing; didn’t answer my questions, prescribed me a med and couldn’t explain what it was for. I asked the pharmacist at Walgreen’s– he knew what he was talking about. I had to call back a week later for test results (they said they would call and didn’t) and he re-​prescribed the exact same med! He apparently forgot I had already taken it.
The worst– when I actually used the bathroom in this place, the sink water came out BROWN. I let BlueCross BlueShield know and they told me to file a complaint, which I did. I’m surprised I didn’t catch a disease going there. I think I have PTSD now.
And, yeah, they have no credit card machine.

Sit down and wait… Next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…next…MORALES, JOSEPH… «Follow me»… the nurse and I walk to the back. she leads me to a small room and tells me…“The doctor will be right with you”…45 minutes later… the doctor arives…“what seems to be the problem?”…blah, blah, blah… «Oh thats all. Take some DayQuill»…

yeah… the place is not the most comforting to look at but if you simply need a doctor in the neighborhood to write you a prescription when you’re under the weather, it’s perfect. the front office staff is more than tolerable. it’s best when dr. manalac is in the clinic. she’s quite nice which definitely helps you forget about the rest of the staff’s indifference. i’ve been there twice without an appointment and got through without too much of a wait/​hassle. if you’re looking for a family doctor/​primary care doctor, i’d make my way towards northwest memorial physician group by north and damen.

I don’t know what happened when the first reviewer called, but I have never had poor service (nor have I ever seen a male receptionist). My wife and children have been going here for over 18 years with no real problems. They may not provide 5 star Beverly Hills style butt kissing service but Dr. Symik is wonderful.

I had the worst experience with this place– I called to try and make an appointment and the «receptionist» interrupted me to tell me that he didn’t want to have the conversation anymore because I’d woken him up and he was tired. ??? Huh? Then he hung up on me. So now I’m a little scared of it and just got another doctor.
