Attended service last night. The cantor’s wife was very gracious and answered our questions and gave us a little tour. The security staff was also friendly and helpful. Usually, when visiting other synagogues, people are not friendly and don’t welcome strangers– I’m not sure why this is!

This is the synagogue that was attached to my grade school. It was beautiful, perfect sized and it was very well kept. I gave it 2 stars because of this:
I was thinking about having my Bat-​Mitzvah, and since I went to Anshe Emet, I was going to have my bat-​mitzvah at their synagogue. Well my dad is Jewish and my mom is not. That’s a big no-​no for us Jews. By Jewish law, for the child to be a REAL Jew, the mother has to be Jewish. So in the end, they ‘declined’ me from becoming a woman there. Bastards!
