Andrew Pasminski, DC

Dr Pasminski was an amazing healer. I am so upset to find that he has passed. I had an accident that severely affected my vision. After number of eye doctors and nuro specialists, I was referred to him. He knew exactly what was wrong and had me fixed up in only three visits, after over 6 months of working with other doctors. He was an amazing man. He will be greatly missed.

I am very sad to report that Dr Pasminski passed away earlier this year. He was a wonderful person and a true healer.

Dr. Andy is a miracle worker. He has helped me over the years in so many ways — from his spinal manipulations, to his AMAZING acupuncture treatments, to his looking at a patient as a WHOLE and taking into account all aspects of life — not just treating symptoms. I live in Michigan now and I STILL make the 2 hour drive to see him when I have something go out of whack. If you are going in for surgery, GO VISIT ANDY FIRST! I had such an awful time recovering from anesthesia the first time I had surgery — couldn’t eat, my body wasn’t reconnecting with my mind — it took hours to get out of recovery. The 2^nd surgery I had years later, I saw Andy the day before. He gave me a manipulation and did acupuncture specific to the areas I was having cut for a biopsy. I woke right up after surgery and asked for a turkey sandwich! I love Dr. Andy and cannot recommend him highly enough. Plus, he’s a wonderful, kind, caring man.

Dr. Pasminski is the best chiropractor I have ever been to. He is also trained as a Napropath and Acupunturist. When I came to him I had a problem with the cracking (the noise) procedures of chiropractic adjustments. They scared me and I my experience with other chiropractors is that would tense up and then get injured because of it. He understood my fear and made all adjustments in a gentle manner. He spends time to fix the problems and he cares. he’s the best!!!

Dr. Pasminski is the best in the City! I have a history of back problems and my sacrum shifting out of place, which makes it impossible to walk. Dr. Pasminski is always able to help my back with muscle adjustment. He is full of knowledge and able to help you with almost anything, whether it is your neck, hip, back and even something like dizziness or a common cold. He has a remedy for everything, which has always worked for me and my husband. He is fabulous and intuitive.

The problem with the other reviews is that they UNDERSTATE just how wonderul this man is. He began his career cutting meat at a local Jewel, and never lost his work ethic. If you want to know what the work ethic of Chicago was at its apotheosis, you need go no further than Andy.

This man is a true healer. He has knowledge well beyond what is «expected» of a Chiropractor, and really looks at each individual’s health as a whole. Bring a book, as he is often behind schedule — but after one visit, you will never want to visit another health professional again. I go about once a month for general wellness, and with my modest income consider that money very well spent.

I am so glad more people are reviewing Dr. Pasminski. He’s amazing. So everything in my earlier review is still true, just wanted to add a little. He does not take credit cards any more, so bring cash or check to pay. Also he gets a little backed up in the start time of appointments probably because he is a very generous and attentive doctor rather than a clock watcher, so bring a book and be patient. He is so worth the wait.

I am self-​employed so I really consider medical costs closely and, despite having health insurance, time away from work affects my income substantially. I have gone to Dr. Andy off and on for years now and could not agree more with all of the reviews already on this page that rave about him. He is a godsend and a healer in the truest sense; in a way that I only wish other doctors would emulate. It’s like somewhere in all of their practice, too many doctors have forgotten about the importance of true empathy, compassion, and visible caring towards their patients and left him as is this incredible beacon.
I have always been slightly terrified by the idea of visiting a «chiropractor» but am immediately calmed and put at ease by Dr. Andy’s demeanor, gentleness, and absolute kindness whenever I visit him. His combination of chiropractic work, acupuncture, and total humanity are incredibly powerful whenever something really hurts and needs to be fixed rather than medicated.
Please don’t think that I see chiropractors or even Dr. Andy as a be-​all and end-​all solution. I simply believe in selecting the best solution for any given ailment and a very talented chiropractor is just the thing when I have joint, back, or muscular problems.
On Monday I threw my back out. My sacrum shifted and my entire spine felt like it would snap with the slightest movement. It was the single most terrifying injury that I have endured in my 36 years, and I’ve had numerous dislocations of joints, severely pinched nerves, and occasional (minor) back injuries. This was much worse and Dr. Andy spent an incredible amount of time working on my spine (i.e. many, many hours) the first day getting it to a point where I could at least go home and sleep safely. Had I gone to a hospital, I would have very likely been pumped full of Vicodin or possibly put on Oxycontin for the next week plus and been told to catch up on my rest for weeks. I may have had a night or two in the hospital given the instability of my spine, probably required physical therapy later on due to the prolonged period of rest, and would have easily racked up a very expensive medical bill for a recovery that would have taken longer than I was able to give.
In contrast, by taking the first available appointment with Dr. Andy during, I needed quite a bit of time on his table this week BUT… was able to work again today (Friday) and am 75% better than I was when everything happened several days ago. His treatment was also very affordable, even compared to going the alternate route which would be covered by insurance… after a $ 1,000 deductible. [Note to self: I’ve been meaning to get back into Hatha yoga so this is a pretty good reason to make it a priority.]
There is no way that I can fully express how fully I appreciate the dedication of Dr. Andy getting me back up and running in such a short amount of time.

I have received chiropractic care off and on for over twenty years, and Andy is by far the best practitioner I have ever been to. I have some moderate scoliosis and neck problems that I need treatment for. I have been seeing Andy for over ten years, and I have sent anyone who has back problems to him. Anyone who has been treated by him thought he was great. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and intuitive. I am also a huge advocate of acupuncture, which Andy also practices. He has also helped me with acute problems such as a pinched nerve, and he has been helping me with recurrent headaches due to neck strain/​stress/​digestive issues. Andy is amazing!

I have been going to see Dr. Andrew Pasminski on and off for a few months now, and I can’t thank him enough. He’s a really great guy and very personable and he really knows his stuff. I have back pain and knee and shoulder pain, which Andrew explained is all related. Part of it is from lifting heavy stuff at work.
I bought a handmade sacrum support belt from him that I now wear at work every day which really helps. He shows me excercises to do and I feel his rates are very fair. My wife and I recommend him now to others all the time.

So I might be a bit biased as I have known Dr. Pasminski my entire life. However, he has helped my mother numerous times with a variety of holistic treatment for all of her ailments. He reads one’s body very well and although it has been awhile since I last saw him for any chiropractic work (my memory doesn’t fade that quickly!), I highly recommend his services… Seriously, this man has been in the business for a LONG time and he knows his stuff! A great listener, a great communicator, a great practitioner… Can you ask for anything more???
