Advanced Health Institute

I have now had over 24 visits to the Advanced Health Institute and have only good things to say about how I feel now compared to how I did before. I no longer wake up in pain. For anyone who engages in some type of physical activity but is in pain, there is always the worry that you will see a doctor who will tell you to stop doing it. Dr. Walker and Dr. Rachel and the other staff have a completely different approach, and that is to put your body in the very best place so you can continue to participate in those activities. Attending these appointments has been a time commitment, I’ve been going three days a week, but it has been worth it. And everyone is just so nice! If anyone else has considered getting set up with a chiropractor, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Walker and his team!

I’ve never been to a clinic quite like this. They care so much about each individual person and their specific treatment. I feel like family everything I walk through the doors! Bridget immediately greets you with a warm smile, knowing each client by name! From there, Dr. Walker and Dr. Rachel take you to do your into talk adjustment, followed by illyana helping you through all of your stretches and treatment. One thing I love is that they actually teach you and help you understand step by step. I threw my lower back out pretty badly, and have been seeing them 3x a week religiously, and I’ve honestly never felt better. I’ll never take my back pain for granted again, and the knowledge I know now from this clinic is going to help me in the future for my lifting and overall lifestyle!

Dr. Walker and his team are AMAZING. I don’t ever write reviews, but people could be missing out on such great chiropractic care if I do not say something!
I came in with so much back pain– so bad that I had days I couldn’t even put my pants on. After 6 – 8 sessions, I started feeling like myself again. That’s a small price to pay for the big difference it made in my life. I finished my entire treatment (3 months-​3x a week, 30 – 45 min each session) which consisted not only of adjustments but traction and physical therapy exercises. I not only felt healed, but I felt STRONG.
My X-​rays showed visual improvement. My neck was curved, my hips were more aligned, and my back was straight. I’m now on supportive care, which means I go in for adjustments only. Regardless to where I am in the treatment, the doctors and assistants are so caring, personable, and helpful. This is by far the best medical experience I have had– and I know it will be yours too!

I’ve been going to Advanced Health for 3 months. I was in a car accident and had a lot of inflammation, pain and stiffness, which limited my daily activities and exercise. I was really frustrated and annoyed for having to return to receive chiropractic care because I had seen chiropractors for years for structural issues that caused pain in my mid and lower back. However, as often as I used to get adjusted and receive treatment, it wasn’t lasting. However, this is the main reason I recommend Advanced Health over all other chiropractors! The methodology and training that they integrate is really effective and my back is shifting and improving each time I visit! The combination of stretching, physical therapy, traction, manipulation, and icing has helped me so much! The traction that they use to move the ligaments and vertebrae is one of the elements that I haven’t seen used anywhere else, and it really works! I am able to work out again and am back to doing all of my daily activities without pain and increased mobility. Dr. Walker, Dr. Rachel, Iliana and the team work hard and consistently to provide care and training that is focused on improved structure, muscular training and education. As a result of the accident, I also had to take some time off of work, and Dr. Bitler was great! She orchestrated everything with the insurance companies without missing a beat. I highly recommend Advanced Health for all issues related to back, neck and the nervous system!

I went in with mild-​to-​severe lower back pain and now i’m almost pain free! Dr Walker and Dr. Rachel know what they are doing. Everyone is super friendly and are 100% focused on getting you on track to making sure I am walking upright and my spine will not go into traction anytime soon. Kudos to the staff especially for a light-​hearted yet serious environment. No one likes a strict place with no fun inbetween exercises and traction therapy.

In your 20s, you can typically deal with any pain. It is your 30s that weeds out everyone and determines how you are going to live your life.
For ten years, I’ve dealt with crippling lower back pain. The type where you call into work and have your co-​workers start to question how bad it really is.
Over those ten years, multiple chiros have been visited with hours of individual research being done. Finally had it figured out, with over 30 minutes of stretching and foam rolling in the morning with night time stretching as well. Anytime I broke out of that routine, my back would give out.
Did some research and found Advanced Health Institute, felt comfortable with how they blend physical therapy with adjustments. That is my weed-​out, it should be yours too. With insurance covering the visits, I had nothing to lose.
After doing complete x-​rays, they determined that my chronic lower back issues were caused from neck and thoracic spine ‘issues’. I had my doubts because the trauma looked like it was caused from a car accident when I was 18. which I couldn’t believe that I was able to live with it for so long.
I couldn’t handle the pain anymore and was tired of beating myself up and let them adjust my neck which I never allowed in the past.
After religious and consistent rehab (Physical therapy, adjustments and traction) combined with at-​home workouts, I can finally wake up without that weird tight hamstring feeling… I’m able to workout without that feeling where my back is going to give out… I’m able to work out and not ice my back for 40 minutes… I’m finally able to work out consistently without taking breaks because of my back… Squats are easy, ab workouts no longer puzzling difficult.
I was barely able to walk into Advanced Health and now I am approaching the best shape of my life.

Dr. Walker and all of the staff at AHI are absolutely amazing! I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for years without any relief, even while I saw a chiropractor for one year. I was always in pain, it was difficult for me to work sitting for long periods of time, it was difficult for me to exercise, including running and doing exercise classes. It was even difficult for me to sleep well because I would wake up sore and in pain, it was very frustrating for me, and my situation had become hopeless to some degree.
Thankfully, I searched through my insurance for a chiropractor and found Advanced Health Institute. What I liked most was Dr. Walker’s ability to listen to my concerns and validate my feelings about my struggle with this ongoing pain. I physically feel 100 times better, I no longer suffer from any type of pain and I am no longer limited in doing what I love. In addition, I love that Dr. Walker checks in regularly with me about how I am doing along with his caring staff. Dr. Walker and his staff have been a total blessing! I still can’t believe how great I feel! I highly recommend Advanced Health Institute and if I could give them 10 or 100 stars in my review I would. :)

Straight up: Dr. Walker is incredible. I woke up one morning in agonizing pain, having done something to my neck, apparently in my sleep. I could barely get dressed, I couldn’t do my hair, I was miserable. After everyone in my life yelled at me to find a chiropractor, Unilocal pointed me in Dr. Walker’s direction. After my first adjustment, I cried like a baby, but within 30 – 45 minutes I was feeling at least 50% less pain. By the end of the week, I could lift my hair dryer. At the end of two weeks, the debilitating pain and incapacitating stiffness in my neck was largely gone.
Dr. Walker and his staff are incredibly helpful, care-​focused people. They want to see you get better, and it shows in every way they interact with you. Not only does he focus on adjusting your spine, he gives you exercises to strengthen your neck and back to ensure that you make a full recovery. If you’re diligent in your home care and take his treatment plan seriously (seriously, don’t skip days because you’re not feeling it, that’s shooting yourself in the foot), Dr. Walker can definitely help you out.

This place changed my life! From my first consultation, they took such care and interest in the physical problems I had and how they affected my life on a daily basis. Dr. Walker is so great and explains everything to make sure you understand your plan of care throughout the entire process. I devoted a good 6 months of time and effort to the process and I feel significantly better! I would recommend anyone to the advanced health institute if you have a physical problem that you’re looking to correct with various techniques. Amazing!

Dr. Walker and the staff at AHI truly make you feel like they genuinely care about their patients. I have been a patient for just over 26 visits now and the improvement so far has been unbelievable.
I approached with high skepticism, as I have been dealing with an injury sustained several years ago through traditional means of several surgical procedures and narcotic medications with no real relief. I felt like that approach never addressed the issue, and as a result I gave up.
Fast forward to earlier this year and it’s a completely different story. My life in general is better. Treatment has even provided relief from conditions I never thought to make the connection. I am very happy with the improvement so far and looking forward to finally be able to fully enjoy moving around taking in the sights and sounds.

I am a 58 year old woman who works out every day in the gym. When I first came to Dr Walker and Dr. Bitler I could not walk, my entire body was in pain. My shoulder and my knee hurt the most, when I talked to him those were the two problems I complained about, Dr. Walker told me the pain was probably coming from my spine but of course I didn’t believe him.
The X-​rays he had taken showed I had sciatica from a vertebra out of place, my spine had moved 50% forward. I was a mess. He talked me into taking two weeks off from the gym and started treatment, after two weeks I was able to work out again, I just couldn’t use my legs. Week after week my pain was relieved a little more, after 11 weeks I am pain free, I can’t even remember the last time I was actually pain free… maybe in my forties?
He was right about my shoulder and my knee issues coming from my spine.
This was my very first experience with a chiropractor, I have to say the results I have gotten from Dr. Walker and Dr. Bitler (who go above and beyond to help you with any other issues with your body bc between them they know a ton of stuff) far exceed any other results I have gotten from ortho treatment, or any other treatment. I have had multiple injuries over the years, I’ve been active in sports, running, the gym. I get a deep tissue massage once a week which helped tremendously but couldn’t fix my main problem which was in fact my spine.
At this point I only need a massage every other week.
Between Advanced Health Institues’ treatment and their equipment I’m looking forward to feeling even younger than I do now. I couldn’t be happier and I highly highly recommend them to anyone who lives with pain. I didn’t realize how much pain I was in until I had no more pain. What a wonderful feeling!

After my 36 visits I received another set of x-​rays and it turns out all those adjustments and traction sessions have paid off. My neck now has a noticeable curve. I showed over a 79% improvement to my neck curve. It’s finally nice to be one of those case studies where they have to add the disclaimer that not everyone will see the same results.
I did take my physical therapy seriously, did all my reps, iced after every visit and tried to stick to my schedule without canceling sessions. I did also receive trigger point injections which probably helped in breaking down scar tissue which allowed for greater gains in my neck curve.
I feel better. I don’t really get the urge to crack my own neck since there is significantly less pain now. Additionally, my back and neck muscles in general are less stressed and knotted.
I plan to receive some supportive care and also work on my own to see if I can make additional gains.

I read the reviews including those from my insurance and found them very helpful. I as well did a little research on the docs and team and felt comfortable making an initial appointment.
Once I walked in the door, I was greeted by the team, given a tour and then sat down to talk to Dr. Walker about what was going on with my symptoms. I had been experiencing migraines and cluster headaches an average 3 times per month over the last year plus frequent minor headaches. He examined me, took some xrays and had a follow-​up a couple of days later. We talked about the issues, went through all the xrays and discussed a treatment plan that I felt comfortable with.
I have been receiving treatment now for about 5 weeks and not a single headache. Realignment and relief takes time and dedication by the patient but these guys have it dialed in pretty well.
Great, friendly team and supportive team. You won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Walker and his staff were really helpful. I’m a relatively young and fit male in his 20’s who started feeling some lower back pains after a lot of heavy lifting. While I was working to correct my form in the weight room, Dr. Walker and his staff really helped me get my back back into shape and show me a lot of self-​help exercises that would correct my issues through focused muscle work. Thanks to Dr. Walker and his staff I’m feeling great.

Before my first visit to Advanced Health I was suffering from lower back pain on a daily basis. I’m now a third of the way thru my treatment, and feeling better than ever. I no longer wake up with a sore back and sitting at my desk is much more tolerable. Before visiting I was afraid I would always have to deal with lower back problems. Most of your progress is up to your participation in the exercises. You are given a list of stretches and exercises to do that they will help you with, but you must typically do on your own. As long as you are disciplined in doing these you will see improvements.

They have several care providers who collaborate as a team when making decisions regarding patient care plans.
Dr. Walker provided me with a comprehensive break down of my needs and which were priorities. He sets the expectation for the approximate length of treatment and when I could expect to feel results. He shed some light on how my spinal alignment was linked to fatigue and chronic pain which had limited many of my daily activities. He empathized with my frustration of having a decade’s worth of pain and what it’s like to not be able to compete athletically the way I would like.
Dr. Corey guides you through your instruction plan with encouragement and the patience to address your questions. He has explained, so thoroughly, how each part of the body is linked and the ways in which different ailments can present themselves. For me he has also collaborated with people outside of AHI on my treatment plan.

Between my first and second visit, AHI called my insurance company and provided me with the cost breakdown before I committed to anything.
Angie is so pleasant, Dr. Bitler is very calming, Julie is so organized and keeps tabs on everyone’s schedules and appointments, and Heather is very efficient with the trigger point therapy and re-​evals.
I am still in therapy, but have already felt significant changes in my well-​being.

I’ve worked at a chiropractic office, so my standards for care were very high. My treatment experience with the staff and atmosphere has been terrific. My treatment started off with digital range of motion X-​rays. Then Dr. Corey adjusted me and gave me really good running tips. Angie always has a smile on her face and takes care of my traction. I would recommend this experience/​treatment to anyone that needs to get their spine checked!

This place is an amazing rehab center. I came in with back and neck problems from studying for long periods of time. Dr Cory does great adjustments and you can tell he really cares by asking the right questions and changing up excercise. Angie and dr B do traction and are very attentive and The staff is very friendly :)
