Both my husband and I went to Accuvision for our eye exams. We got in very quickly and our exams were through and the doctor sat with both of us and answered our questions and made sure we had a through eye exam. Then we sat down to pick out our frames and the young girl who sat with us was so friendly and knowledgable, picking out frames was a breeze. We were clients in Mundelein and we will be clients in Chicago!

I have been coming here for a number of years and have been incredibly satisfied with the service and care provided by the doctors and office staff. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been attentive, caring and respectful.
I also bought a pair of glasses earlier this year, they have a fantastic selection and the pricing was good– so if you’re in the market for a new pair I’d definitely check out Accuvision!

We are on vacation in Chicago and stupid me dropped my sunglasses and a lens popped out. I couldn’t get it back in to save my life. We walked by AccuVISION and stopped in and asked if they could help. They stepped right up to the challenge and gave my glasses to their optical tech guy. Nicest guy you would ever want to meet and extremely meticulous and skilled. He recognized immediatly that because the lenses were perfectly round and also polarized they had to be installed just right. He took out both lenses and checked the orientation carefully before he replaced them. We were in a hurry to get to a tour and failed to get the young man’s name but he is the greatest and we really appreciate his service. And guess what it cost. Nothing. In Chicago, this is the place to go for all of your optical needs.

AccuVision was wonderful, my experience couldn’t have been better! The staff and Dr. were friendly, very educated and helpful. The office was spotless and organized. The appointment was very timely and quick. They have a large selection of frames and sunglasses to choose from and they are very experienced at choosing the right ones for you. I am extremely happy with the glasses I chose and will return in the future!

Went in for advice on how to get new glasses because mine were old and starting to break. Picked out a pair of frames and scheduled an eye exam the same day! When I went in for the appointment there was little to no wait and everyone was super friendly. Once the exam was over they told me they could have my new pair of glasses done the same day! Really awesome customer service and being located right in the loop is so convenient! Took care of all of this during my lunch break. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would go again.

Every aspect of my experience was superlative. Friendly receptionists, the doctor’s examination was pleasant and appeared thorough, and the adjustment of the glasses was done patiently and well by Jack.

My experience at Accuvision was superb.
First off, the selection was outstanding. Nowhere else has a comparable selection of high end eyewear. I would be shocked if someone couldn’t find the perfect match among Accuvision’s selection.
Kirill, the salesman who assisted me, was extremely helpful. He allowed me to try on countless pairs of glasses, and was very honest with his opinions. I felt like the pairs I decided on were perfect because of his help. He spent a lot of time with me, and was very patient with how picky I was being.
Overall, I would highly recommend Accuvision to anyone looking for a pair of glasses. The selection was fantastic, and their selection sets them apart from the competition.

Great place… great customer service… and if you saw a frame somewhere else they can try to order it for you. The Docs are really cool and helpful and always up on the latest stuff.

I came in because I wanted to get a Lasik recommendation and get my annual check-​up out of the way.
I arrived for my eye appointment at 5:30pm, and filled out my paperwork (first time coming here). I noticed that there was a waiver where you opt OUT of four different tests, which cost around $ 100 total. I opted out of all the ancillary tests for my eyes. While eye health is very important, I’ve been getting my eyes checked for years (at various doctors in different states) and have never had these tests brought up. Cool, maybe they’re just really looking out for my health. Idk.
The person who did the air-​puff test and all that was fine — very nice. He asked to see my current glasses, which are Warbys, and then proceeded to shit all over the company. Sure, they’re cheaply made — they’re like $ 95, what do you expect? He kept trying to sell me to buy glasses at their shop.
Then I went to so see the doctor. He tried to sell me again on the ancillary tests I mentioned above. I’d already signed the waiver saying «no,» and I just got my eyes dilated last year. With pretty consistent eye health I felt like it wasn’t super necessary, and I didn’t feel like spending the money.
We talked about Lasik. He recommended I go the Kraff institute, fine, but then he mentioned it would be $ 6k + for both eyes. What? I had done research and most places are around 3−4k for both eyes. He swore up and down that there aren’t any places that do it for under 6k. Weird. And definitely not in-​line with what i’ve been seeing. I brushed it off and made a note to do more research on my own.
His personality was fine but a little abrupt. The whole «which looks better, 1 or 2?» thing took less than 5 minutes, so felt very rushed. He mentioned that my prescription was different from last year, but I feel like that’s because he didn’t take more than 5 minutes to do the test.
Left the appointment. Tried to get roped in to looking at glasses, but I made the excuse that I had dinner plans and asked for my prescription card.
Here’s the even weirder part — they didn’t want to immediately give it to me. It felt like they were trying to get me to buy glasses at their damn shop when I said I didn’t want to. The guy at the front desk (air puff dude) said he’d have to go wrangle the doctor to get him to write it out. I could see the doctor in the back talking to someone, so I said I’d wait. He asked if i wanted to look at glasses while i waited. Nooooo thanks.
Overall fine. Probs won’t be coming back here. Easy on the sales, guys, I feel like more and more people are moving to buy glasses online — either be competitive or lose business.

I bought five pair of glasses for myself and my mother last year as a result of the high quality of the services and products of the store. The people there are genuinely kindly and helpful.

I have gotten my last couple pairs of glasses from AccuVISION. They have a wide selection.
I have found Carmen to be ultra friendly and passionate about helping you choose styles that are best for your face and prescription.

My eye consultation went fine, albeit they didn’t forewarn me on «upcharges» during the appointment.
Their frame selection is more limited than some neighbors but the person there was at least trying to be helpful, unlike the experience in a few other shops up north.

I can’t say enough about how pleased I was with the service I received at this location, from my appointment scheduling and insurance discussions to assistance picking out new frames. The staff was thorough, patient, friendly and exactly what customer service is all about.
I didn’t feel rushed through any part of my exams or frame selection and everyone from the doctor to the technicians were knowledgeable and personalized their care to my needs.
The selection of frames are primarily high end and therefore can be expensive, however they offer discounts and great advice throughout the exam process to ensure you manage costs to your budget.
Will definitely continue to go and recommend to friends.

I have come to this Accuvision location every year for the past several years for eye exams and glasses or contacts. Everyone I interact with from the doctor to the employees who help you pick out glasses to the gentlemen who prepares the frames are extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. Every time I order glasses I get them the same day, I just shop around in the area or grab lunch and they call to tell me I can pick them up within 1 – 2 hours. Great selection of designer frames. I love this place!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Don and the lady that helped me look for a new pair of eyeglasses (I forgot her name; but she was a blonde, older lady with glasses). I spent quite a lot for Calvin Kleins, but she really showed me around, made some recommendations and was extremely patient during the process! The arrival experience was not the greatest, and that is the only not so pleasant experience I had visiting this office (the lady that helped me find glasses was not the lady that greeted me).

I made a special trip here today, because my insurance is taken by them. No one bothered to help me. Everything is locked up, so you really need someone to help you as you go from case to case. There were employees available.

Just re-​visited this eye doctor for updated prescriptions for my whole family. Can only say great things about the service we received. Courteous, friendly, professional and helpful staff. The eye exam itself was thorough, yet quick (which I appreciated in the midst of a busy workday), and the eye doctor I saw was very detailed and had a great sense of humor, to boot. I decided not to get the (optional) eye dilation since I’m not in any at-​risk category, which meant I was able to select my frames without any issues.
What impressed me the most was their ability to service the lenses while we waited — both in readers for my husband, and in a personalized fitting for my prescription sunglasses (which I did wait to receive — about a week after my initial exam, which is pretty typical based on my experience).
Tourists walking in off the street looking for high quality sunglasses were just as happy as I was, looking for prescription sunglasses. My husband’s Gucci readers were cut and fit for him within the hour.
The broad selection remains superb (and they’re happy to work within any budget) and the designer frames are on par with what one would expect in a Michigan Avenue location. I tend to be somewhat indecisive, and the helpful technicians gave me great feedback on both the fashion/​look and practical functionality of the frames I was considering. My grade school daughter also needed a mild prescription and there were plenty of options for younger, petite faces to choose from.
My prescription is rather complex, between the right and left eye, so it takes a definite «trained eye» to nail it down. The extra screenings are optional (but quite helpful in my case), so it was nice to know up front what each test did.
Grateful for the outstanding service at AccuVISION, and very highly recommend.

Comfortable office space with a good variety of eyewear selection. Not too overwhelming with options. A little annoying that you cannot browse by yourself (all doors to eyewear are locked), but understandable.

I LOVE Dr. Hapner! Friendly, totally professional and didn’t lay on the guilt trip when I admitted I sometimes sleep in my contacts. Dr. Hapner is also thorough and very patient, even with me, someone who treats the «Which is clearer? #1 or #2?» vision test as if it were the SAT. I highly recommend Dr. Hapner to anyone who needs to get their eyes checked out.
The shop has a huge selection of frames, which is awesome but would be impossible to navigate without the super helpful staff here.
I’ll definitely be back!

I received the best customer service at ACCUVISION. Ms. P provides the best customer service. I have patronized several other competitors but no other company provides the name brand frames and style like ACCUVISION. I was pleased and not only did I purchase designer frames I also purchased the matching designer sunglasses. With my insurance and the customer service received by Ms. P I was overwhelmed with excitement. I will never use another company such as Lens Crafters again. ACCUVISION is the place to go.
