While I hate to one star a business, they’ve earned it. I booked them for a move in clean and requested additional services such as: fridge interior, oven interior, cabinet interior, and ceiling fans. They make it really easy to check what you want online and just charge for the extra time. Great. Except the girls were over an hour late. I left them a key in case because I had somewhere to be. They said they’d call when they left.
Except, they never called. After three hours I couldn’t believe they’d still be there (in my completely empty place) so I circled back to check and yep, they were gone. And they didn’t leave the key, nor turn off the fans or a/​c that I left on for them-​both things we discussed!
I check out the place and my fans were still dirty, as was my oven, and toilet. My cabinets were not wiped down. I tried contacting the business multiple times to talk to someone about the work and to get my key back. The mailbox was full and not accepting messages. Finally I was able to leave one and magically my key showed up but no one called to discuss the crappy job they charged me for. I even texted asking for someone to call me. I got the charge on my card for a full three hours even though I knew they were gone before then. Shady.
Bottom line: I’d never be desperate enough to deal with them again.

I am surprised at the negative reviews as I have used this service twice a year for about 8 years. Once in a while I’ve had a few minor disappointments but usually am just so happy to return home to a sparkling apartment. I always get the super spring cleaning because I am a slob and the place is covered in dog hair. It is the best thing I have done for myself. I clean my parents large home and do laundry every weekend so it is a treat to have someone else deal with my place. A friend gave me a certificate for Merry Maids at Christmas. What a disappointment! And a hassle. They were late, very late, no call. If anything Access Maids is early and they call or text to ask if it’s ok. They always do something extra, like make my bed! This time they did the dishes and put them away! (Merry Maids won’t do dishes at all.) They even cleaned the dog’s dining pedestal. They vacuumed under the area rug. They’ve been great. I will never use another service.

I ordered the Super Spring clean to get my home in «show house» condition. I also ordered extras such as the blinds, fridge and oven interiors and carpet deodorizing. I live in a 1.5 bed apartment with 1 cat and I clean it once a week, so really all I wanted was a deep clean of the areas I hardly get too.
The two ladies I had were friendly at first but spoke very little English and clearly started getting annoyed when I asked for or pointed out things they had missed. After a heated exchange with their office, one lady swiped the blinds, still leaving dust on the inside. Going through the place after they had left I noticed that there were still dust bunnies behind the couch, under the bed and next to the dresser. The kitchen counter still had dust and cat hairs and the carpets looked no cleaner than before they started, and certainly were not deodorized. When I called the office to complain, I was told their insurance does not cover moving furniture, and therefore they couldn’t get into the areas I really needed cleaned. However he was happy to send them back to wipe down the kitchen counter.
Essentially, all I got was a basic clean; leaving me feeling ripped off and that my place is dirtier than before because I notice everything that was not done.

I have used this company twice and have only good things to say. Love being able to schedule everything online and both times the two individuals who arrived at my house were extremely professional and went right to work. When I arrived back home my place was sparkling and clean.

DO NOT USE THEM! This place is terrible. Customer service is horrible and nothing ever gets cleaned! Way over priced and they don’t process payment for up to a month after the appointment! I will never use them again.

My roommate and I were very dissatisfied. We paid for a move in cleaning and many things were missed. We called Sergio and he sent the girls back to make things right. The girls arrived with huge attitudes. My roommate showed them the missed spots. We walked away to get ready come back out minutes later the girls are gone. We called Sergio he told us to book online and he would give us an hours of free cleaning we asked for a confirmation he said we didn’t need one mention it in the comments section he would remember. We went to schedule the cleaning and Sergio told he would never offer that surprise surprise! What they did clean was cleaned well but the bad experience with Sergio and the cleaning crew overshadowed the entire experience. Make sure you stay during the cleaning and check their work.

I have been a loyal customer for two years now. The cleaning is very inconsistent. If you choose to use this company watch your bill, they are famous for charging more then what they really worked. Also they offer a 43 point cleaning service, I have not yet seen 15 of the steps used. They have on several occasions miss under the bed and furniture.
I did call to complain and the manager ended up yelling at me because he barely makes money off the service by the time he pays for supplies and gas. He continued by saying that his employees aee «people» and that I should be ashamed to call and complain. They ladies dont understand english so if you try and give them a suggestion they ignore you. To date the top of my fridge hasnt been cleaned.
They do not put muscle into their work. However, with that said I finally was given a cleaning crew which does a better job. I continue to use them because I have been with three different companies now; Molly Maids, Merry Maids and Accessmaids and it seems it is just hard to find quality services since they all did poor work. Merry Maids was probably the best but way overpriced. I will continue to use accessmaids since they seem to be doing better work and will change rating if work continues to improve however there is no excuse for the rude treatment by the manager.

Absolutely terrible. Poor cleaning, terrible customer service. Got charged more than I was quoted. Avoid this place at all costs. I think at one point the maids stopped cleaning for about ½ hour and just talked to each other and on the phone. One of them spent more time cleaning the interior of my refrigerator than everything else combined. Why? And then Access Maids had the nerve to charge me for 6 total hours when I know they were at my places for less 5 (especially because they showed up early for that time too). And when I tried to complain about the cost, the owner (Serge?) was a jerk on the phone. Granted, I was a jerk back. But hey, that’s what he gets.

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! Poor cleaning, poor customer service, and overpriced. I have a 1-​bedroom apartment where I live by myself and own a cat. I personally clean once a week since not a lot accumulates; It takes me one hour to tidy up my apartment without mopping. I decided to treat myself and get the super spring cleaning since it was finals time for school. Two women showed up an hour early, and cleaned for two hours to accomplish what I do in 1 hour by myself. When I told customer service I was unsatisfied the replied that I shouldn’t limit it to 2 hours and that they could do me a favor by coming to my place again and re-​clean what they missed for free (but they also don’t offer everything they said they did on their flyer either, hence why it didn’t get done). No thanks. Save yourself some money and time… DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Worst company I have ever met! After I cancelled the service, they still sent someone. Of course I did not allow them to enter and they turned me to a collection agency. Stupid company!

The service was ok the many times I used it. They weren’t the best, but they weren’t too bad. I loved the online scheduling. And then this.
The last time I used them, they came earlier than I had asked. They asked if they could start then. I said no. I wasn’t even home. Then the person who was to let them in arrived and stayed the whole time. He said that they did a very mediocre job and complained about doing things. They were supposed to do the carpets, too, but I specially said not to do the top floor.
Then my bill comes– it’s for way more time and more rooms than they were there or cleaned! I called and said this and agreed to pay what I owed. I spoke with Alex, and he said he would call the office and work it out.
Months pass, and then I get a notice that I am being turned over to a collection agency!!! Not a word after that first call where I said I wouldn’t pay for time they weren’t there. Then, when I speak to the guy in charge, he flips out and yells. It’s my fault they overcharged? I NEVER said I wouldn’t pay for the time they were there, even though I wasn’t happy this time. He should see from my past appointments that I had never disputed anything or complained before. After much yelling, I said what I would agree to pay (still too much– I stand by that they did not do the hours they claim, as does my brother who watched them). He agreed to that, and we dropped it. We were literally screaming.
The shame is, they had me as a customer, but they lost me. A simple apology or willingness to work together would have avoided ALL of this. There are plenty of cleaning agencies across the city. They ought to remember that treating their customers like garbage reflects on them, not on their customers.

THEY TURNED ME IN TO A COLLECTION AGENCY! DO NOT USE!!! I hired Access Maids June 16^th 2012 to clean our house. My wife is sensitive to conventional cleaning products and we specifically paid for them to use only green products. Three women showed up on time which did make a good first impression. However, the experience went downhill fast. They started in our tiny upstairs bathroom which is about 10’x15’ in size. All three cleaners were in there lightly rubbing over the same surfaces again and again for the first 30 minutes. It would take one person 15 minutes to clean the surfaces of this bathroom from top to bottom. With three people working at the same time, they spent the equivalent of 90 minutes in the first small room. When I saw this happening I tried to speak with the oldest maid who seemed to be in charge. She acted confused and said she didn’t speak English well enough to understand me. This was incredibly frustrating.
What’s worse, as I stood there looking at there work I noticed all the cleaning products where conventional, not green as I had paid for. I tried asking the same lady about this and she gave me a very puzzled look and then said a bunch of things in Polish to the other maids and they continued working. So, I called Access Maids directly and a guy named Sergiy picked up. I explained the situation and he said he would credit me for the green supplies and give me 30 minutes FREE. He was very helpful which I greatly appreciated. I thought things would turn around at that point, but they only got worse. A fourth employee showed up with a bag of mystery cleaning products. Apparently their idea of «green» is to put cleaning supplies into unlabeled bottles which they can’t explain because they don’t speak English. So, now the three ladies are taking their time smearing unidentifiable cleaning products over the surfaces on which my wife and baby will be playing. And they were not picking up the pace.
I have so many examples of ways they drug their feet and wasted time I don’t want to cover it all. I think the most comical abuse of time came when one of the maids began cleaning our main floor. The floor is about 800 sq’ of uninterrupted oak. She went at it using a small bucket and a hand held rag! The sad part was a mop stood unused in the corner of the room. Since English was not an option, I tried gesturing for her to use the mop and she just looked at me like I was crazy. Needless to say I felt like I was being taken advantage of the entire time while also feeling helpless to give them direction or take control of the situation.
Then I started to examine their work by looking at the rooms they had finished. Not only was the work done at a snails pace, it was incomplete! They missed several windowsills, all the light switches, insides of closets, and all the ceiling fans. I took pictures of these things and emailed Access Maids from my phone. I followed up with calls to Sergiy who was not not picking up the phone. So I left messages asking him to call me. I wanted him to ask them maids to stop work and leave my house. He did not call me back. So, I finally got up the nerve to ask the maids to stop work and leave my house. That was not an easy task since non of them understood why I was gesturing for them to move towards the now open front door. After they left, I discover that one of my kitchen windowsills had been damaged and was hanging by a thread.
After I got them out I received a message later that day from Sergiy to collect payment. I called him back and left a message explaining how unhappy I was with the service and that I would not pay the full amount. After that point I didn’t hear from him again. Instead I was passed off to another person in the company who kept leaving me messages about collecting the full payment. I called back and left several messages over the next two weeks trying to resolve this. Nobody ever picked up or called me back leaving a message that they understood my dissatisfaction. Instead they just kept leaving the same massage about paying the full bill and ignoring my issues. Then, they stop calling and I think, OK, they must have finally got the message and understand what a bad job they had done. NOPE! Instead, they send my bill off to a credit collection agency called American Agencies, LLC who just sent me a letter. Now I have to deal with fixing my credit thanks to Access Maids and waste more valuable time.

If i could give a negative star i would. VERY HORRIBLE WORK. Didn’t touch the fridge AT ALL– not inside, not above, not below. They didn’t clean behind the couches or other furniture– it’s like i paid for a bunch of little kids to clean my small condo.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. NOT WORTH THE $$ AT ALL.

Sigh… I broke the number one rule of using any new business… I never checked Unilocal before I went with them. Well I have learned my lesson!
I will start with the only good thing. I will say they did an awesome job cleaning (I did a move out cleaning and my apartment even complemented me on my cleaning.) Maybe it was because I was around my apartment moving stuff out but they worked the full 2 hours and got stuff clean I never could. I even left and came back to a spotless apartment. The only frustrating thing is that they didn’t speak English very well or at all. I just gave up and went on with my business. I was trying to explain to them what I wanted cleaned and what I didn’t. Then when I asked them how much it was, they had to call. I found that a bit weird, then they didn’t speak English while speaking with whomever which worried me. They quoted me $ 130. I was fine with that. So I then talk to the guy to pay with my credit card. He said I had a credit card on file so I asked what the last 4 digits were on it, he read off someone elses card number. That should have made me run to the ATM and pay in cash but I was distracted with my move and gave him my credit card number to be easy.
Fast forward to the next day, I get an email saying my card was declined. I was like, WTF!!! So I checked my checking account and sure enough I had plenty of money so I wasn’t sure what the problem was. I figured he missed a number or something. So I emailed him and said I’d call him Thursday because I am busy with my move out. Thursday rolls around and I call. He asked for my credit card number and I gave it to him, simple right? WRONG! He replies with, «alright I charged $ 145 to your account.» I was like ummm no you quoted me $ 130 and it’s written on my receipt. He was like, «oh alright sorry let me credit your account and charge $ 130.»
As soon as I hung up with him I checked my checking account. Sure enough I see 3 transactions from Access Maids. One for $ 104, $ 145 and $ 130. So I called him back to ask what the $ 104 was. He said he never charged my card $ 104. I said well it says you did in my checking account. So we went round and round arguing till finally I got fed up and said I was calling my bank. I called my bank to see if he had even credited my account at all and they said no and I would have to dispute these charges. If I don’t get my money back I will be going to the BBB. This manager is shady and picked a fight with the wrong girl. From all the other negative reviews I don’t know how they are still in business.
All I know is that I have learned my lesson and I will never use a business without checking on Unilocal again. The Unilocal gods must have been teaching me a lesson that day… note clearly taken.
***UPDATE***: So I called my bank to get my money back because this company said they never charged my account and that it’s the banks fault. He said that the bank will credit my account so call them. I was so fed up with him that I did call my bank and got my credit. Fast forward a week and what do I see on my bank statement… ANOTHER $ 104 TRANSACTION FROM ACCESS MAIDS!!! He is STILL charging my account for $ 104. So now he has stole $ 208 from my checking account from 2 unauthorized transactions. Needless to say the BBB has been contacted and I am going to see if I can file criminal charges against this company.

We did the Spring Clean to have our place ready to sell. We did basic cleaning ahead of time so the cleaners would only need to do the nitty-​gritty stuff like baseboards, tub, dusting, inside oven, etc. It seemed like a no-​brainer that it would take them only an hour or so to do some basic scrubbing.
Bottom line: they suck. Not only were they insanely expensive, but I guess that I expected to have a real cleaning person do the work. Not some slacker that didn’t even dust the tops of my pictures. AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR SEVEN HOURS TOTAL (2.5 per maid) and had little to show for it! I still have dirty baseboards, I still see cobwebs in the corners of the rooms, and my carpet smells gross after they shampooed it. It certainly doesn’t look much cleaner and it wasn’t really dirty to begin with. I could have done better in seven hours! A blind monkey could have done better in seven hours!
Next time I’ll check Unilocal before hiring a cleaning service. A very expensive ($ 207) mistake on my part.

I used Access Maids to accomodate my brother who has severe allergies. They did a terirfic job. I scheduled the earliest time of the day, and although they give a window for arrival, they arrived exactly at the beginning of that range. That was great!
I showed them around the apartment and let them know specifics I’d like taken care of. When I arrived home, I was extremely impressed. They accomodated each request. My kitchen and bathrooms were sparkling, my rugs were vaccummed, all glass was shined, my bed was made, and my toiletries were all organized. A final satisfier was that nothing was missing :)
I highly recommend this service!

I was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with their service. I opted for the «Super Spring Cleaning» and although the ladies were on time, they were negligent and not at all thorough: they dusted around objects instead of picking it up or moving it over, didn’t clean the corners or crevices of the walls or doors, streaked my hardwood floors and left their bag of towels.
I complained and was offered a free make up cleaning – so not worth it (and they sent the same two cleaning ladies).

Just used Access Maids this morning, for a «Super Spring Cleaning,» and they did a great job! I use this company about twice a year, and they’be been good each time. They’re pretty thorough, getting most nooks and crannys in the rooms. The floors are spic and span and they even wiped down my walls and windows!
My appointment «window» this morning was from 10 – 11 a.m. I received a call at 10 to let me know the maids would be at my place in about 20 minutes. Sure enough, they arrived when they said they would!
The maids don’t speak much English, but they’re friendly and understand enough to know what you want and don’t want.
All in all, quite pleased with these guys!

My fiancée and I have used these guys every week for the past couple of years. They are always on time and do a good job cleaning.
They are actually pretty flexible. I sometimes have to ask them to cut down the appointment length when they arrive and they are happy to do so. I’ve also found it very easy to rearrange or suspend service when I’m out of town.
Do be aware that they will give you a window for arrival, usually an hour’s slot. We schedule them for their first appointment in the day to ensure that we don’t have to wait.
I get the feeling that the negative reviews are based somewhat on misunderstandings. If you do get 3 maids, you can’t assume that one will be free. Ask the maids to finish the job in a shorter time. They always oblige.

I used AccessMaids for about a year, and during that year I never felt completely satisfied or dissatisfied with their cleaning. The company has a great website and a good pitch, but try dealing with the Russian/​Ukrainian guy who manages the company and you’ll eventually get fed-​up with arrogant and surly service like I did.
The girls he would send were fine… not terrific or overly friendly. But here are a few things that I found problematic:
1. Sergei, the owner, usually sent me two girls to do my small apartment. It didn’t need two girls, but that’s how they got done so quickly. The only problem is that AccessMaids charges by the girl, and by the time… and there are minimums. So if one week Sergei scheduled three girls, I would be charged for three girls and also be charged the minimum for all three girls – even though they’d be in and out very quickly – not cool. One week I might be charged $ 60 for two girls, another week with more girls, I’d be charged $ 90.
2. Even though I got weekly cleaning, Sergei could never pinpoint a time the girls would arrive unless I called the afternoon of the day before my usual day (I preferred Saturdays, which for some reason always seemed to create a scheduling problem for Sergei). This would be madness because lots of times, they might fluctuate between morning or afternoon. God forbid I should complain about why I couldn’t be scheduled the same week to week… Sergei would just tell me to go to another service.
3. If I ever complained about one of AccessMaids’ girls for poor cleaning, Sergei’s first line of apologizing would be to cancel ME! There were a few occasions Sergei would say, «I’m sorry, but I can’t send anyone else to you…» He has absolutely no customer service training. I kept picturing Sergei as a Danny Devito-​like character from the tv show «Taxi» running things.
