This is the best take out greasy spoon around town. The food is made while you wait so patience is key. You can see your food being prepared which is good. The deep fried polish sausages is the best around town. Their corn beef has an urban twist to it. A must try.

My family loves this place! Tight quarters for sure but the service is always polite and fast to get you in and out. They never skip the large amounts of onions!

Okay so this is a neighborhood grease stop as I like to call them. If your looking for some extra tasty calories for the day then this is your stop! This restaurant is very small which means the waiting area is very small! It is usually packed around lunch time so be ready to be in a small packed area waiting on your food! I recommend the corn beef sandwich! They are Juicy and very tasty! Or even the polish, which is big enough to share and is fried to perfection! Once you get a chance to put your order in the process is relatively quick. I love this place because it’s a neighborhood spot and you won’t leave disappointed!

Abe and Tommies is one of the best neighborhood grease joints in the Austin area. The waiting area is pretty small and gets crowded during lunch time, so sometimes movement can be very limited. Overall the food is good, I’ve tried almost everything but I’m a fan of their polish and steakburgers. My mom always order their beef sandwiches or combination, both are very good dipped lightly with peppers. The prices are not bad, but you have to speak up to get waited on so don’t be shy. You will notice everyone that frequent this place will be serviced immediately by the cooks. If you’re on a diet or a weight watcher, beware. I’ve been eating from this place since childhood, well of course I’ll say their food is good so go check them out for yourselves Unilocalers.
