Our condo building hired A Family Roofing Company for snow removal services for February & March. They demanded payment upfront which had us suspicious but it was hard to find companies willing to add us to their routes so we agreed to this term. Turned out to be a decision we regretted. Snow was removed only once out of 6 promised visits. They would go so far as to tell us someone would be out during a certain time but always a no-show. They said this is not how they typically do business or treat their customers. But there was never any follow-up to see if the snow was ever removed. Commuication was erratic and unreliable. The kicker was after the last snow storm, the person at the company hung up the phone on us after promising someone would be out there! When we texted their lead snow guy about arrival time of his crew, he texted back, «They should have already been there.» Well, we had a parking lot full of snow that said otherwise. And still nothing. We never received a response to our request for a partial refund. How unprofessional! How does a company stay in business with such poor customer service!!! Let me repeat — there were FIVE occasions in a row where A Family Roofing Company NEVER showed up to plow the snow. We’re not sure if they run their roofing company like they do their snow removal but we sure don’t want to find out. Heck, we even received spam email from their account. They did not accept credit cards for their snow removal service. Top 3 Words/Phrases based on our experience with A Family Roofing Company: unreliable, unprofessional and empty promises.
